i woke up

after a long pause
of a sleep
i woke up
after a dream
so vivid and so sad
i woke up

i can't say why
but suddenly
a jolt, a very cold
draft woke me up
to the real world
to the real stuff

thankfully i say
to the cold
you've saved me
happily i say to
the draft you've
caught me

just in time for me to cry
just in time for me to plunge
just in time for me to suffer
to a nightmare unsurpassed
