hidden sunshine...

it is the longest summer
fields full with rain drops
it is the busiest summer
streets littered with dust

time never waited
it tinkered and tiptoed
slowly at our sight, gone
we can never catch up

only the clouds are left
hanging at the sky
in any given moment
they will cry

wet are the dry lands
bathed in blue water
frogs from tadpoles
the little prince comes

prince george of cambridge
was born but before that
a nurse in the hospital died
as the hidden sunshine
edges its way out, at last...

above art is by hilton of the UK. behind those dark clouds is the shining sun. endings pave the way to new beginnings, renaissances, new paths, new days and a new life. so we need to embrace change, it's like moving on, forward. always, in every dark clouds, lies a hidden sunshine :)

the best part of christian living is that you can always count on God to protect you against the devil. He always provide and always be there for you. He never fails and that is proven countless of times, in my life at least. when all is said and done all we have is God keeping us safe if we keep the faith. He is our hidden sunshine if we believe and trust in Him. that's all it takes to ride out the rough waves that come into our lives. even in religious persecutions, in erroneous judgement or in adversities, we can always be a winner at the end. life is timed, short and brief. we want to decorate it with happiness, sunshine, pretty flowers and smiles. God is our hidden sunshine, true...

Matthew, Chapter 7: Judging Others. “Stop judging, that you may not be judged. For as you judge, so will you be judged, and the measure with which you measure others will be measured out to you. Why do you notice the splinter in your brother’s eye, but do not perceive the wooden beam in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove that splinter from your eye,’ while the wooden beam is in your eye? You hypocrite, remove the wooden beam from your eye first; then you will see clearly to remove the splinter from your brother’s eye." ...again, how true...

and what a nice article. sometimes you read one that really makes sense... and president obama will be visit the philippines in october... i remember when president clinton visited in 1994. that is the time when my brod had gotten his tourist visa to come here in the U.S. and lo and behold until now because he is busy in his business he has not had the chance to see the only super power country in the entire whole world. people who can not get a US visa are dying to come here and here's my brod with an approved visa he does not even have the time to leave his business, sad...but that's life. those who do not have it wants it and those that have it, may not really want it...

akala...

akala nila ikaw ay isang paro-parong
mataas ang lipad pero ang tutuo
ay isa kang lihim na ahas

akala nila ay wagas kang magmahal
pero ang tutuo ay ang dami mong
kulasisi na nakatago sa sambayanan

akala nila ay hindi ka magnanakaw
pero pork barrel full ka pala
at dinamin alam

kailan kaya mayroong taong
matuwid walang bahid ang budhi
at hindi makasalanan?

since the very beginning of time, humans are already sinners, little white lies, or big time cheaters. sad to say we all belong to any of these two categories, me included ;) some do not admit it because some are liars. some repent and make changes in their lives while others are imprisoned to their sins and they do not have any way out or they are just too weak to stand up and pick up the pieces and walk the right path. Jesus is our saviour from these sins. let's carry our own cross, that way we can share with the burden that Jesus carried on His way to calvary in saving us... now that really makes sense...

saint peter, the first pope

as persecution still exists nowadays on how we practice our religion by others...the greatest proof of our love for Jesus is by dying for our savior as saint peter did many, many years ago. i am not really surprise that others judge you on how you live your life and on how you practice your faith and religion. it shows that common decency is fast eroding in our society. you could not even let others be on how they show their love for God. how much more tolerable are we in other aspects of living.

per saint peter's request, they crucified him heads down for he said that he is not worthy to be crucified like Jesus was. giving one's life is the ultimate sacrifice for our religious beliefs. we are all born to live and to die sooner or later, someday, somewhere, somehow. some put meaning into their lives, in great or small ways. others waste their lives like there is no tomorrow. and only God holds that tomorrow before it is given to us.

saint peter basilica in rome or aka the vatican where popes officiate masses was built in honor of saint peter. that was the place where he was hanged inverted heads down a long time ago according to christian history, similar to calvary or golgotha for Jesus. i've seen amazing documentaries about the secrets that were kept under that church. it is beautiful where caves are and precious religious relics or artifacts plus gifts from royalties and heads of states for inaugurated popes then are stored besides where past popes were buried as well and of course the final resting place of saint peter himself. first on my list to visit in the future :) even though much of that underground place, it is not for public view...(^&*)... thinking about it gives me goosebumps, not for the bad but in admiration...

true to life

the golden grains of harvest
the water buffalo's ride
the rooster's call at dawn
waking you up at night

the nipa hut is blooming
with chatter and surprise
down the green tall acacia tree
with its shadows of delight

bananas in the back canopy
wait until you see it ripe
the monkeys like them most
in tinge yellow sweet and smiles

the pot is boiling under fire
menu's of pure and perfect light
the palates will be happy
stomachs full will grind

nature when it's captured
the birds will chirp all high
the crickets will buzz afar
as humans mingle, contemplate and laugh

life is depicted as true
straight forwardly drawn
no winding roads, no hidden goals
no guessing game for you...

thanks to the late amorsolo, life depicted at one of its best. we marvel on the talent of artists who could paint an image very close to its original form. that is who fernando amorsolo was. a gifted and a blessed individual who can perform such kind of a feat not only capturing beautiful nature around us but portraits of human beings as well and he did it with great pizazz. lots are called but few can deliver. lots have other ways to express themselves in art but nothing tops those that can reproduce reality to its nearest form. kudos, though sadly amorsolo is gone like most humans before him did. like every living creature when the time comes. not a waste of talent but talent realized to its fullest potential. again few can deliver in deed as most can only try...

the ebb tides & dawns of life

the break of dawn is upon us, wake up!
the sun is rising finally the warmth has come
let's ride the boat of life where ever it may take us
the east, the west, up north, down south
fire up that engine, roll up the mast, hurry!
our hope is that it will be a blast

our wind swept face hides the salt water tears
happiness is what we seek and what we wish
all of us in search of paradise, the Eden in our minds
only to find out by most that it is a fly that we can't catch
it was gone when we raise our hands
it had left, vanished from our eyes

let's hope for a new tomorrow with no dark clouds above
it should be easy when we put our faith in God
the road will have no patchworks nor potholes
the ocean won't be angry and tumultuous
the sea will be peaceful and calm
happiness and joy at last...

above art is by the great amorsolo. 2 images, almost similar :)

when you run to catch a fly
you will certainly lose
their wings are clocks' hands
winning all the time

the flowing water is back to sea
the beach is getting bald
the corals are showing
with their spikes, alas

the rain had subsided
i smell the faint sweet grass
a new beginning comes
the sun's rays are out at last

after the clouds had cried
a new sky on the horizon breaks
there's that colorful rainbow
a new day had just opened up for you...

image is patar beach in bolinao, pangasinan...

special children, special people...

there are still kind hearted people around as shown by their acts... strangers who understand... others judge you and think that you did something wrong that caused this unfortunate incident to happen to your family but it is very far from that. i am a nurse, i never took any medications, i never did any untoward things to jeopardize michael's health. still he was born autistic, non verbal and with seizures. we do not know why things happen, we can only hope for God's grace to see us through. kind words and kind gestures from strangers meant so much. no one will ever know the pain and the suffering that we families with special children endure and go through each day. no one can tell how we wake up each day praying that our children with seizures are safe after each episodes. no one will ever know the tragedy that our family have to live through each passing day. no one will ever know except those who are in our shoes. those who are on the same predicament as we are in. but what adds to the pain is when people blame you and put your family down with unkind words that you could hear. the condemning words from unkind people that you personally knew. it adds to the hurt that we are already feeling. but again we are only humans not the divine. we become insensitive to the feelings of others. so that explains that. and i may also turn the table to say that it takes a special person to see beyond, to walk that extra mile to understand us. these are the holy people touched by God. instead of condemnation and disgust they offer their love and understanding for us. we can't thank them enough. it is the same thing with those people who persecutes you on how you practice your religion. they are uncaring, insensitive and unloving but we understand. we will pray for the day that they will be counted as Godly human beings if not soon, in the future. it is not too late to practice charity, to show love and care to special kids and their families. it is not too late for we are still alive to pause, to dig deeper into our innermost souls for that compassion that is hard to come by nowadays. let's hope that it will happen and that it is not too late, yet. change of attitude is after all can be done by us. change of how we perceive others in the practice of their faith. acceptance without condemnation, live and let live, do unto others what you would want others do unto you. bring sunshine to others, bring hope to the hopeless. encourage and bring cheers to others who carry their cross... it will certainly lighten up our load...(^&*)...

crosses come to test our faith in God. Jesus accepted His Father's calling. we are called in some form of sacrifices in our lives. some carry them well. others are overwhelmed. while others try to get the best out from what they've been given. i am one of these people. i try to carry the share of the cross of Jesus the best way that i can. on my way i met different kinds of people. on my way i've seen the worst and the best in people. over all i put it all to God to take care of them, both the bad and the good, the devils and the angels. for if we respond devil for devil we are doomed. if we give kindness to the heartless it will save us from hell. our world would be a better place for we then had created are own paradise on earth... in spite of everything that life has to offer. life is but once and short at that. it would be wiser to fill it with joy and laughter... we can try, i do for sure...
