faith matters...

if everything is gone
what can we have
in our hands
if everything is dull
what is there that can brighten
our lives

our faith is the one who carries
us in time of need
our faith to the one who brought
and saved us always
our faith is the only one that's there
when everyone had abandoned us
and left
our faith is the last thing that can sustain us
from defeat
our faith is always there
if we only just believe
our lives will be full of meaning
if we have faith

to the one who is the most powerful of all
to the one who loves us in spite of it all
to the one who is the source of everything
to the one who is always there till the end of this earth

God the father, Jesus, God the son and the Holy Spirit
the most important of all...

let there be faith for there is no better choice :)

a new dawn...

morning is a choice
we can make it joyous
or morose
dawn is not despair
if we can make
things happen

smile more
laugh more
and
love more :)

the beauty buzz

God gave us a face that is unique and not for anyone else. He fixed and dolled it just for us, you and me so be it? But then we're not happy or not ever content. We went to have it changed and have it manipulated. Then God said to us, what is this? I gave you an identity but you've dared to change it.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, so they say. Beauty is what makes us happy. Never though that artificiality is loved by everybody, for it's deceit and not our true selves though some says it's enhanced and it's tweaked here and there so let it be?

The inner you is really what counts more. The inner you that don't put people down with your foot. External beauty fades with the ravages of time. But your inner beauty shines on people's minds until the end of time.

So to those that are maliciously maligned, cheer up! True beauty after all...is... not what is in our face though it helps...Beauty is not in our face but in our hearts and beauty is how we treat others gently and show that we care and love them so much...(^_~)...

the eternal hope of spring...

the sun will shine
as it always does
dark shadows will
retreat with defeat
as it always did

the roaring rays
that you'll never forget
for it lights your way
on sad and lonely days

how many nights
can we endure
how much tears
can roll in our face

until the sun comes
rising in the east
drying our wet
and flooded skin
until we can smile again :)

then comes spring
where pink flowers reign
then comes change
which we hoped to begin...

our president had this uplifting speech last night in the presence of both houses of congress, just like a state of the union address. it was meant to give hope to all of us here during this dire economic times. it worked and most of us believed him. change will come, help is on the way, hope will turn into reality and America will prosper once more. i just wished that it could come sooner for a lot are really suffering here, losing their jobs and the symbol of their American dreams, their homes...

JESUS came to spread love to all of us :)

the visit of the magi...a wall painting inside a Catholic Church in England...St. Augustine...
http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.saint-augustine.org.uk/images/module1/Wall_painting_Nativity_DSCN6779.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.saint-augustine.org.uk/section/23&usg=__R5Jg4aVyH5glV5nLl_R6tgQvvcs=&h=330&w=500&sz=33&hl=en&start=497&tbnid=IQqf2kw6_6AMSM:&tbnh=86&tbnw=130&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dnativity%26start%3D480%26gbv%3D2%26ndsp%3D20%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN

isn't it a must that when we start on our reflections about life we use math. we add and minus the good, the bad, the truth and the lies. in this world we encounter people in different categories, in different walks of life. the rich, the poor, the user, the used, the liars, those with integrity, the famous and the ordinary or the nobodies like me :) in my lifetime, I've met most if not all of these people. i have been in awe with their riches, after all I'm a product of one lady's unmatched generosity, i saw how they lived and with these I've concluded that happiness the most sought after state in life second to riches and health is fair game. it does not guarantee you joy even if you're sitting in the lap of luxury. on the contrary i see miserable lives instead. how come i ask myself. why does happiness is so hard to attain in spite of the financial bonanza that these people have. I've concluded that for one to be happy love should be the dominating factor of our lives. love of God, love for and from our neighbors and love from the one that you truly love. true to life relationship after all is like an engine that fuel our lives. without true connections to people that you really care about and love, happiness is hard to come by. no inner peace, no true happiness even how much money you have in the bank. just my own observation on what is life on earth is all about...so let's love, love and love even it hurts sometimes :) life when it's gone we could no longer love so we need not to waste our time. every single second counts, every single day matters even nights... how true...

a flower is a joy forever...and time...

memories of my pink cosmoses one summer time...

when the past is the present time...

i came to you from nowhere but just the father's lair
i came unnatural with angels on my tail
with poor parents and just shepherds
into this world i came in
only a bright star in heaven
lighting my way
and my bed
of stable

the past is always remembered everywhere comes December
the month of joy, of celebrations all over
houses are dressed with cheer
children wait for joyful Santa
with his gifts on his sleigh
for every little angels
on this earth

the present is always connected to the past
the past gives a lesson that will last
a teacher, a guide for all of us
for the lost, for the tired
for the lonely
the unloved

Jesus is the past, the present and the future
Jesus is love yesterday, today and tomorrow
He is the connection to the old
the bridge to the new
and the dawn
until the sun
shines for
you :)

and i always look back to the past to light up my tomorrows and the past is a good barometer of what it is like to be in our tomorrows...not unless change will come but that is a big "not unless" in my book, although i don't know about you, it might be different you know. for after all we have two separate worlds with unique and not similar experiences. but i hope joy will be our goal at the end of our tomorrows :)

music is magic...

it's like a painted flower with its colorful streaks
it can be dark or like a rainbow up above after a storm or after a rain
it can be a fairy or a mermaid or an Adonis in your mind
it is a spell thrown to you by cupid sometimes
it is a perfume that lingers in the air till the end of time

no matter
even if it's sad or happy times
music
is that endless wave in the ocean that dances in our eyes
as the sun sets or as the sun rises in our lives :)

"who are we really?...

...increasingly where ever our hearts are" by anthony bourdain...very nice line :) and he said he had tasted the best pig ever in the philippines and the people are so "ridiculously nice"... just watched the entire episode and it is not really that far behind compared to the different places that he went to in his program.

augusto...a fan of his from new york had convinced him to pay a visit to the philippines after by-passing it for the more popular asian neighbors of ours. he had this contest where fans of his show had sent a video entry to convince him to go and taste their country's food...saudi arabia won the first place and augusto came next, the second, laughs.

well, really, the philippine episode is a lot more stylish than andrew zimmern's bizarre food episode in the philippines, i think. although, andrew's is much more natural. this man even went to palawan and had eaten live worms freshly plucked from those dead rotten woods. yuck! and gross. but this man also swallowed a live beating heart of some creature in his japan's episode, that's bad enough, laughs. oh well. but going back to "tony" yes, that's anthony bourdain's nickname :)...his filipino participants did a superb job in showing the food of our country. it's the truth that there is no loud boom out there in the world with regards to the identity of our very own filipino cuisine. maybe bec. ours are somewhat a compilation or a mixture of the different cultures that came into our shores to invade and to colonize us. ours was lost in that process. it's hard to tell for it's in the mix of either chinese, malay, spanish or what have you, laughs. although one thing is for certain, filipino food in any form comes first in my book. of course and yes i am not biased here, laughs. at the end the episode from the philippines is maybe in the middle compared to the rest of what this traveling cook, writer had done all over the world...not bad at all but ridiculously nice and i mean that in a good light :> above art is by Angu Walters of West Africa :)

Anthony Bourdain in the Philippines :)

this episode filmed in the Philippines October, 2008 will be shown here tomorrow, Monday :) Hooray! i love this cook's program, well, J.C. and me. this man is a writer, traveler, a cook and he said he is hungry for more, laughs. finally after traveling to a lot of places he was able to do an episode in the Philippines...although late in his book of travels after going to a lot of different countries before...still better than never, right? laughs. i couldn't wait to see and hear how did his visit turned out to be, esp. in his unique way of belting out his travels into a narrative prose, sort of like a poetry as he always do in his program. lovely, i like it :) the way to enjoy the world i think is to taste every country's food and to see and experience anything else in between that might come your way and unexpected stuffs or surprises count even more :> the music is "off the wall" by Michael Jackson :)

LOVE is ALL of US and...

...love is JOY like that music by Giovanni...the flowers are my own...from my garden one past summertime :> the love day is almost here...romantic love is what we most focused on but really love celebrations should be universal and it should always be celebrated everyday...for after all love is life and love is all of us :)

just love flowers :)

Elvis and John Lennon :)

"stump" the top dog, best in show :)

somewhere my love aka if you go away :)

i woke up one day and you're gone
the bed is empty, the room is now dark
your smile with that wonderful spark
your smile that lights up my room just died

my greatest fear is here
i've lost you
where are you now

in my interviews, in my dreams
i've said that my greatest fear is
if you've left me
i don't want to wake up
i don't want to face another day
like this that sucks, laughs

boredom
now envelopes my days
boredom
is in my pen and in my prints
you're gone
my muse, my queen
to be idle
is now my sin, laughs

i miss you
please come back
and let's start
another day
together again
one more time :)

i know this is really corny even though it's made just only for fun, laughs...very right or true... boredom is the greatest enemy, opposite to the inspiration that your missed idle muse can give you, laughs...but hey guys, true love finds its way back to you, always remember that...for they can't live without you...they may play around but at the end of the day it's you that they want, it's you that they love...(^_~)...so cheer up! and yes, happy cupid day, again :> although not a happy cupid day as of yet but it will eventually... :) and yes, at Brian's blog i posted a correction for him that i was late in discovering his blog...twice, accidentally... for the yellow sentence that says your post will be posted after being read by the owner did not appear on my first try so i thought it did not go through, so i resent it again that's why the double post :) there is a reason for everything and that is the reason why the double entry, laughs. oh well. we are not perfect. in this case it's the computer's error, laughs. but who cares really for i really don't. just telling it as it is. now you know why, laughs.

paradise path...

i climbed up tall and steep mountains
just to be at your side
i crossed deep and rugged valleys
just to meet you here at last

the sun is shining and smiling
brightly at our happy faces
the stars are twinkling and turning
as we gazed at those green leaves' canopies

the birds are chirping and singing
sweetly with enchanting melodies
the trees are gently swaying
as we walked hand in hand with ease

with our hands clasped together
with our hearts beating faster
and with our eyes enter twined
i asked you...
is your love mine forever?
and you said...
love may fade but love may last :)

for those in Cupid's trance, a string of words for you on this coming love day...the art is by McKenzie and the music is by Elvis..."no more" a funny song, to me at least, laughs...but guys if you're in love pls. don't let it be no more...(^_~)... :) and then my ipod music will again invade the air once more as if you cared, laughs, but i know you don't...
Somewhere my love,
There will be songs to sing,
Although the snow,
Covers the hope of spring,
Somewhere a hill,
Blossoms in green and gold,
And there are dreams,
All that your heart can hold..

Someday,
we'll meet again my love,
Someday,
whenever the Spring breaks through..

You'll come to me,
Out of the long ago,
Warm as the wind,
Soft as the kiss of snow,
Till then my sweet,
Think of me now and then,
God speed our love,
Till you are mine again.

Someday,
whenever the spring breaks through
You'll come to me,
Out of the long ago,
Warm as the wind,
Soft as the kiss of snow,
Till then my sweet,
Think of me now and then,
God speed my love,
Till you are mine again.

the heart of sucess...

" happy coming valentines' day"... to ALL :) good day, God bless and thanks for your visit...

the player...

you've tossed and played
with love before and
you're only 23

you've dumped and
kicked a lot of boys and
you're only 23

you've puked and danced
quite a lot and now
you're ready for
another love

make sure you won't
break a heart
of the person who owns
the heart that you want, laughs

or else the world will
turn around and you
will be surprise
karma will get you
eventually and then
it's time for your heart
to cry...

so beware girls, if you're a player, laughs. the solution though is to get a player like you that you can dance with around :>

love is but a game...

we danced till dawn
but said "so long"
you've promised
we'll stay together
but you've
moved on

the fire is gone
the woods consumed
it's just powdery ashes now
blowing along

it's just cold silence now
as heavy steps
walked down
the long and
winding road
of doom

cupid, what have
you done
you've played
and messed
with one loving heart
you've hit
and missed
and now a heart
is torn apart

love is but a game
love is just a play
love had made
the tears
kept falling
and falling
until
the eyes
can never see...

the saddest part of being in the kingdom of cupid is that love won't last sometimes, for love is just a gamble...sometimes you'll win but most of the time you'll lose...so you need ms. Barbra Streisand's "crying time" to sing in those depths of dark despair, laughs. but remember, true love is hard to find but if you do, mountains may crumble but it will still be the two of you, mark my words :) so cheers for that one true love "IF" it'll cross your way :) good luck for you will surely need it, laughs.

colorful abstracts by jr morhaim, beautiful art :)

the vigil, ID2, cosmos, the encounter, the window, the aqueduct...from top to bottom :)

pocketed $$$$ amount in bonuses is...

...more than the GDP of the Philippines...yes, just heard that today at CNN from the mouth of Richard Quest, a reporter/contributor of this premier cable news network that i always tune in. the president described it as "shameful" that the CEO of these companies, big bankers who asked for uncle Sam's bailout tax payers' money for their failure and they have the audacity to reward themselves with such an enormous amount of money, "MORE" than my country of origin's GDP, imagine that. while handing their hands out to the government for bailout money, 5 million Americans are losing their jobs. without remorse they gave themselves these huge amount of bonuses and even going out in exclusive resorts for company meetings, ordering a 5 million USD company jet, 75,000 worth of rugs for their offices. what kind of thinking is that. now what bothers me most is the comparison...the GDP of the Philippines is only to the tune of 20 billion USD...the amount that went to these shameless pockets. now the U.S. has at least 270 million people and the Phil. has 80 million, 1/5th less, but the land space is a lot, lot less there compared to here in the U.S. no wonder in the population comparison alone...people are packed like sardines esp. in my beloved city of manila. so what more can you say about the money that goes into their pockets...a similar job here paying 3-5 thousand USD a month shipped in the Philippines will just be 300 USD a month. now you know why corporations want their productions or operations done overseas, plus they don't have to deal with union headaches, paying health care insurance and shelling out pensions to workers here. so that is why houses are being foreclosed for American workers' jobs are shipped overseas...no work, so they can't pay their mortgages and the banks who hold these mortgages will also be a loser that is why the housing crisis is present. no jobs so no money for consumers to buy goods as well such as electronics and these companies who sell these will also lose profits and lay off workers adding to the great numbers of unemployed here...greed of the haves...the struggle between the rich and the middle class and sadly the middle class here is shrinking and losing. also hear these, some top pics of president Obama to work in his cabinet like the secretary of commerce is a republican who favors shipping jobs outside the U.S... where is the change then, may i ask? a lot also opposed to the idea being introduced in the legislature right now to buy American made goods which is not much now a days...so again, where is the change? the stimulus package being talked about is loaded with pork that doesn't address much about the plight of the millions of Americans who lost their jobs...yes, print more money and run down more or add more to the deficit, that is the solution at hand where the future of the young is in jeopardy being burdened with these huge deficit that they'll carry into their shoulders. the future is bleak right now. hope the problem will find its own solution in the hands of our elected public officials here but i can't help but being pessimistic. 500,000 USD, is pres. Obama's salary in one year. today, he put a cap into the earnings of the CEO's asking for bailout money. it will be the same as his salary. that will be a HUGE change of lifestyle to these millionaires whose yearly pay ranges from 3-24 million USD a year and they're not happy :) Gosh! in comparison to a person without a job or laid off from their company bec. of failed management, half a million is a lot of dough for these workers and we all know that. this economic crisis is global. it affects everyone, everywhere in the world. it needs to be handled right and the sooner the better for all of us...

the golden sun...

sunny and bright it warms our hearts
rays as its arms it reaches far distant lands
plants will produce its fruits and food
the ocean won't be cold because it shone

a walk in the sun is a walk in the light
no darkness in life your way will shine
a smile will follow for a bright tomorrow
thank God for the sun, the source of fun :)

the art is by the great Vincent van Gogh...

the diva sings as cupid plays :)

i brought you flowers did you notice
i even paint you in my dreams
i even share my life story
that's sad, pathetic, dramatic
that borders to the insane

i made you the subject
of my pen
i made you the object
of my brain, laughs

but what did you do
you visited other flames
you wrote for them
you sang for them
you put them in your
brush and played your pen
for them, laughs

"honey you lied when you said that
you loved me"per Elvis :)
"and i had no cause to doubt you"
"but i'd rather go on hearing your lies,
than go on living without you"
that's how that tune goes, laughs

but really, love is but a game to some
they play the field and cast the spell
and wait who gets the bait, laughs

cupid is not aiming well
cupid is just playing its tricks
cupid is in a game
so you all... please...beware :>

okay, since the love month is here again, it is time to set out our sights on the most pleasurable of all emotions, love...this if it's true. you can tell and distinguish people who are with true intentions for you ladies. they don't play the game of illusions to the ones that they truly care about :) and they will take you to the altar, the sooner the better for they don't want any other guys to get to you first before them, so there...but if a guy has the time to play around then you know that this guy or gal is not a keeper...so now you are forewarned, by me, laughs. but hey, if you've met mr. or ms. right and you thought that he or she is the one...then i am happy for you :) happy valentines' day to the true sense of these words and may it stay that way forever so cheers! by then :)
