Are you there?

With a mind of nothingness
you respond to gentleness
strokes so soft on your skin
all the touch that you're keen

Your eyes will dart and dance
when one will have the chance
to whisper or call your name
when ever you're around or in

Is it there or is it not
do you think or understand
do you feel all the love
that's been given to you my life

You smile in faces of joy
you kept silent on sad times
seems that you understand
such emotions of that kind

My heart skips a beat
every time I see you hurt
for I know you just can't say
or tell us what it's like

How to suffer all the pain
How to enjoy all the things
How you endure every day
In silence that's so unreal...

The Magic that is Music

Mesmerizing melodies, meant for thee
Angelic tunes for her and he
Wonderful words, melodious mix
Playing prominently across the street

Ballads, Bach's or lullabies
Beaches and bars or any one's house
Unending beat, jamming feet
Dancing playfully per music sheet

Agonies, joy, sadness and smiles
All intermingled and intertwined
Targeting lives, young or not
Boring deeply in their hearts

How magic, music can really be
How lovely it can make your day
How suddenly it can turn around
For one to cry and to always frown

With music melodies' spell
Changing our lives from hell
Seeking soothing serenades
Your lips, theirs and mine can sing...

My name is music, surrounded with music that is, being a name title of Verdi's musical opera. I love music but music does not love me, same with rock n' roll... even then still I listen as much as I can...

Life is a Cold and a Warm Comedy

Emerging in the bushes are you and me
Playing hide and seek just like he and she
With laughter abounds who could ever tell
We're just acting out and playing the field

The sky up above with the sun and the stars
The planet all around just like earth is us
Dancing with the music, it never stops
Till we got tired, caught open wide

Stories to tell, are they truth or unreal
With lots of deceits, all around us ever
Bets will be that it's all but a game
To spice up our lives in this planet Earth

Illusions, momentary magic filled the air
But since it's temporary it always ends
Sad serenades permeate the gates
Nothing was heard because of closed ears

Warm comedies we thought at first
But lo and behold it was just a twist
Till that cold air blown by the wind
Opened our eyes, our minds and our selves...

The Story Never Ends

Spinning universe, dangling stars
Caressing the moon, the earth
And the sun

Spacious ocean, deep blue sea
Flowing through rivers, lakes
And ponds

Rough, tough towering mountains
Green grass covered hills
And prairies

Cold continents countless countries
Numerous nations
City streets

Yellows, browns, blacks and whites
Residents roaming
This planet of life

Languages spoken, dialects
English, Arabic, French etc.

And Spanish

Endless journeys, dramas in life
Intermingling with each other, guess
That's us

The story never ends
The drama of life extends

To bedazzled and unsuspecting friends?...

Jealousy is a Jinx

Juggling your hours in this planet earth
Thinking of bad thoughts affecting your mate
Does he still loves me or still cares for me
Is on your suspicious mind all night all day

Girl, lady or love of his life
Don't give a worry for it's not right
He's still with you, think, alright
Then of course he loves you all of his might

No amount of reassurance can stop a rat
A mouse with misery, hard to handle as a cat
Love if it's true no need to worry you
For it will be there no matter, that's true

To love is to give to trust and to learn
To give your all with out nothing in return
If one doesn't care, there's nothing you can do
Leave, find that door, it's all good for you

Love is a misery, and it hurts a lot
But it'll be worst if you think of it much
Let go, wait, see if it's true
If he's yours then he'll be back to you

For jealousy is a jinx and not a nice ploy
It causes trouble for you and your joy
Give, forgive and go on with your life
Loving him as always with all of your heart...

Caught in the Web

Little princess, pretty and fair
Seeking flowers out in a trail
Bees and butterflies flying by
Attention getter of any one's eye

Forests of fun music and arts
Works of display not of one's heart
Tink tank of thoughts put into pen
Bear all your soul which is only fair

Unhappy humans say there's foul
Played in this game in which words howl
Make sure then if you open your mouth
Out comes truth and on the right track

Another strike, not good, against you
Displaying that secret true inner you
Think right for once and just be nice
So that your loves will love you thrice

Little girl lost in that muddy meadow
Full of thick dirt dead plants and a crow
Swimming endlessly gasping for air
Will a croaking frog near turn into prince

Bystanders us caught unaware
Where love, lies, deceit spin as it curls
Hope when it's done we still have our heads
With minds and sanity still totally there...

MICHAEL my ANGEL my STAR

Once in that sunny spring May
I was rushed into emergency
Abdomen in contractions
Water broke into labor

Doctors nurses in attendance
Pains can no longer withstand
Medications, oxygen in stand by
With blood pressure going sky high

Bloody tears silent cries
In agony with heart pumping hard
Too many hours of suffering
Of the worst pain one had to bear

After long hours of torture
Out comes my dear precious
Yes, Michael is the name
Different boy, an angel

The sky lit up with his smile
So quiet, content and pleasant
Then, he was a tiny little bundle of joy
Up to this day still is, in spite of it all...

"HAPPY B-DAY MIKE!" I love you so much...

The Colors of Life

Captivating, hypnotic, magical
Rainbow like and classical
Pinks, reds, and violets
Blues, yellows and oranges

Tinge of whimsy, bright or light
Palette full beautifully brushed
Painted pansies and pretty roses
Pasted pastels like carousels

Hinges of happiness at other times
Sea of sadness when one wakes up
Dark in despair when problems appear
Colors of grays, blacks on top here

Rainbows remind me of rainy days
Even during winter, rare, it's still there
Colorful, bow like acts as a gate
Where happiness reigns, eternity's sake

Heart sings, lips smile at colorful sky
Wishes, dreams of good days coming by
Bright and alive colored canvass shines
Making our lives on earth, twinkle like a star...

The Sadness in Goodbyes

You grow, you leave, you depart
To seek your destiny, your own life
You look sometimes as a vagabond
Searching, seeking tirelessly at your own

This life, most of it is a mystery
Just as tomorrow come what may
No need to be ruffled, don't you hurry
This earth will turn as usual in its way

The sun will shine as bright
All stars will twinkle alright
The planets will orbit in their routes
Just as you and me slowly will grow up

We live, we love, we hurt
We smile, we cry and we laugh
We hope and pray for luck
We lose, we win, we say our thanks

Deaths, goodbyes, farewells
Can't dodge it, even if you will
Accept, go on and move on
And try to live your life, from now on

Till the end will come your way
Till all around you is black and gray
Till that silent goodbye that you can't say
Bidding adieu... farewell permanently...

death is the result of the ticking of time...death is the end of happiness, sadness and all our strife. few welcome it but most do not want it...but just the same we will all meet it, someday, somewhere, sometime...Christ has died and so shall we...sad isn't it? but death is rest...

Living it in Illusion Land

She tossed and turned in bed
She's up and down the stairs
The windows are weary now
Of her always peeping by

She thinks he's too late now
No calls, no beeps, no text
Delusions doomed the air
Where could her other's been

Mind filled images
Of lovers lost again
Could it happened twice
Deceived deluded and deprived

Lady of Illusion she was
Reality covered with mask
Paranoia purely prevailed
This mind of hers believed

Abused perception of reality
Untrue, imperfect, full of falsity
Be careful in where you thread
For you might lose your head

Too funny in so many times
If lady loves are jealous types
No rest on honeys' minds
If sweeties are lost, suspicious and unkind...

Gosh! I'm telling you, as if there are really readers out there, laughs. Simple poem in ten minutes :) Maybe I can write a book titled, "Poems in Ten Minutes" but with that time, we know that excellence is seriously compromised here, but that is not my goal anyhow, and come to think of it, I have no goal at all. Just write and write until I get tired :> but of course with a little inspiration of this and that believe it or not, so really I'm trying to explain something here too, true and very true, laughs. Sorry if I confused anybody here, but you'll get it sooner or later, just be patient and read between the lines for its meaning is hidden here and there :> Oh well...

Lady EVE, in temptation island...

First woman ever created by God
True caring partner companion of man
Sweet garden of Eden, Adam and her
A perfect place, a world of wonder

No sin, no guilt, no fault
All smiles, laugh and hopes
Care free, happy and gay
No problems nor any worry

But one day a serpent emerged
With alluring apple in "temptation" red
Song serenades stopped, not played
Where wailing hardships is heard instead

More wiser now, much more shamed
They noticed how to be nasty naked
Sick bodies bathed all full of sin
God's paradise no longer theirs

Temptation, how cold and cruel
Are you to these two lost souls
Your fault that they were caught
Or just only them to blame, the truth

But God knows what He wants
On earth this, His precious land
As long as we truly regret
Our sins are saved by Jesus' death...

Tsk! really what a lot of lesser poems I've got here :) When will I ever learn to make them better? laughs. Needs years and years I bet :> of practice that is...or if I can just meet one good poet somewhere, sometime? hmn. I bet it will help me tremendously, no kidding :> but see, I don't count on that anymore, laughs, oh well...

Inside Out

Beauty inspires and it captivates
Youth or being young rolls out our eyes
Fairness in skin we all want it
Ladies and gents, old, young or teen

Too much ado with what we see
Clouding our eyes with false beauty
Better to dig what's in the deep
On that one's soul, spirit and wit

Suddenly exposed to life's travails
Is a sure fire test of one's character
The one that's deeply hidden in one's heart
Will come out fast in due time loud

What's made of you is how you react
To your life's challenges and all of that
Be sure to never demean nor trump
Your relatives, neighbors or co-humans

You might be beautiful rich and pretty
Always remember that's just temporary
What counts more in this universe
Is how you've lived your life on this earth

Did you treat well your fellowman?
Did kind words spout in your beautiful mouth?
Did you give alms to the poor, have nots?
Or what you did is otherwise...

Always in a Rush

Rushing out the door
thinking you'll be back
What a big surprise for
this day you may not

Lots of distractions
dooming your day
Juggling schedules
when can you be free

Mind full of lists
to do that and this
Hands down in disgust
you have it through your gut

Too many things
occupying your thoughts
Forgetting the most
important to boot

Leaving without a hug
a smile, and a kiss
Meant a day of no cares
and no hopes for sure...

The Journey is Over...

Pic is courtesy of 'Michigan in Pictures'
"Parked Permanently"

Over the Atlantic or the Pacific
on oceans or of mountain ranges
counting continents and countries
due destination is reached

By bus, plane rides and cars
asleep, on wheels or eyes wide
tired, weak or unsatisfied
all the same the place is here at hand

Everything has its end
life relationships or any trend
joy, sadness or happiness
no choice in us but to accept

At times we are lucky
for those times that we're happy
but just any living things on earth
there will come a time of its death

Farewell the sun, so bright
the planets, and the stars above
this wonderful mother earth
who took us, and housed us since birth

So sad that we have to depart
timed life, yours, mine, and all of us
at least we had a chance
to live, to love, to smile and laugh...

Carrying the Cross with Christ

Healing Hearts in Tragedies

Suddenly came a violent storm
One gray and rainy day was born
Painful holes punched in hearts
Red blood dripping in clots

Gunfire sounded surreal
Hitting students and faculties
Ran amok a psychotic face
Panic reigned in all hallways

Death, destruction and alone
Each one soul starts to mourn
Sick and tired, scared not bored
Tears cascaded from eyes and rolled

Once a tragedy on earth befall
Hard to forget the pain, its toll
Heavy hearts, feet that failed
Questions why it had prevailed

Mysteries move this universe
Unknown force the devil roared
Took memories and bright futures
Wondered why, families broke

Let's look back on Good Friday
Undue suffering filled that day
Jesus died, crucified and nailed
But new hope, new life awaits...

President Bush recounted a story of a dad who passed out in his presence in this senseless tragedy at Virginia Tech. where 33 people died, including the gunman himself. This dad lost his only child, a daughter in this shooting spree by a depressed 23 y/o Korean student, an immigrant here in the U.S. He was on medication for this ailment, but instead of helping him it did failed him and in the process he took other lives as well. So much for medications that don't do their job. The pain and suffering is unbearable for parents who lost their children, that, I can't even dare to think or imagine for I am a parent myself. It will be like the end of the world for me, worst than Armageddon...don't know how these souls can go on after...it will take a tremendous amount of courage and faith in God to overcome this catastrophic challenge in one's life. But with God "nothing is impossible" just hang on, trust and believe...

Golden Goddess

Sent by God that's where you're from
loved and liked by butterflies
kissed and buzzed
by bees
above

Perfumed flowers adorn thy kingdom
roses, lilacs, and sampaguitas
scattered scents
soaked and sealed
the air

Magical, wisdom full, spirit kind
heart felt smile, passion filled
lots of longings
let out
to all...

Prep for a Journey

Airport chaos,
cars coming
through

Travelers slowly
trekking in
droves

Baggages, passports
paper trails
post

Air jets down
awaiting
on hold

Then zooming up
reaching out
that radiant sky above and beyond...

Mirror Mirror on the Wall

This glossy glass that reflects and shines
Physical outer attributes of every man
And of all the ladies of this universe
Never will lie and can't be coerced

Am I that pretty really and perfectly?
Like a lady Love or lovely lady Liberty
Of Snow white and poor Cinderella
Or the much beloved our own lady Madonna

Maid of the Sea, the Mountain or the Mist
Pleasurable names chosen in print
If you do serve provide and nourish
Heaven above will take note and cherish

Mirror, mirror on the wall
Tell us who is the fairest of them all
A mouth full of trash, bitchy as a rat
Or a lowly servant who knows what is right

We are all judged by the things that we say
When we open our mouths not only everyday
Using letters or words of the alphabet
To forever please God should be the target...

Hopes, Dreams, Fond Farewells

Flickering moonbeam invites
Meandering rays provide
Illuminating, rendering light
Travelled high ways so bright

Cars on a crunch and on a race
Bumper to bumper touching their tails
Fully packed and tightly pressed
With honest hopes and delightful dreams

Soaring jets on a cloudless sky
Echoing wind that no one minds
Flock of birds bidding goodbye
Flying and drifting aimlessly by

Dreams lost and done with
Hopes left with heavy feet
Wishes washed in a flash
As tomorrow's trip, trashed

Mellow and mild music prevails
Tinkering tunes heard up a hill
Notes of nothingness, letters of love
Bidding farewell, see you next time?

This if the stars will line up
And all the planets open up
These hopes and dreams, wishes so real
Totally and finally will be realized

Happiness will be in the air
If we're lucky and forever be fair
God will grant us with all His might
Eternal joy, all that we want...

Tsk! So many poems, laughs. My brother threatened to sell them for me :> Yeah, right. As if they're really good, laughs. Oh well. Thanks for the few? if any who had the patience to read them for me. Hope even for just a tiny bit you did like them :) thank you, thank you...(bow)

Living in the Land of Love

What is love by the way
A strange feeling, a new entree
Coming into your life without notice
Affecting your life with its entirety

Love makes the world go round
It spins your head like no one
Making the sun shines brighter
And the stars to really twinkle

But what do you do if you truly care
Wouldn't you want to be fair
If true love is in the air
Your own happiness is less in your ear

For you'll be willing to sacrifice
All for the love of your life
Your own heartaches no matter
For the joy and happiness of your other

That person that is important to you
Their well being is paramount too
For if you see them smile and laugh
It's just like you pleased yourself and God...

With God's Will Anything is Possible

The sea shines like a golden sun
The sun simmers like a radiant star
The star twinkles like a dear diamond
But without mention of "God" in the equation
You'll lose like a useless lioness in a dark and cold dungeon...

THE SHINING SUN

Never dark and never dull
Always bright and full of fun
Like a rainbow for all season
Winter spring summer or fall

Enigmatic and sincere smiles,
Warm in hearts and in your hands
Not blinding but always sparkle
Like a diamond that dearly beloved jewel

Open your eyes and look around
For the sun up above that shines
Your day, your self and your life
God sent, no question in your mind

This world is full of mischief and misdeeds
Of dark forces and dark faced ladies
Beware for you might be thrown into their net
Caught paralyzed in their poisonous web

We struggle to watch and weigh for ourselves
Who's the devil, or the Satan in this universe
Look up above for that much needed help
To show you the way to that heavenly place...

This poem is done in ten minutes, laughs. If inspiration strikes, time is not of the essense. Words just flow like a river :) Hope even only just one will like it :> maybe one of these days I'll make an album for my novice poems which this blog surprisingly uncovered for me, laughs...

Humility in Humans is Always HOT

FATHER ANGELO's favorite line in his preachings is this, "Because He is God and you are not" we need to be humble always and no matter what. Great, the best, the master of whatever discipline you're good at...that makes sense. For talent, or beauty is just God given, it will be taken away from you anytime if He wills it. So to be aware of this all the time makes all of us to be of notice of our nothingness or of our being nobodies :) Or just think the obvious that things have their ends either sooner or later. You'll be basking in glory today but you will never know if you gonna be crying tomorrow...sad isn't it? It takes away the fun, but at least you know where you stand. Just a mere human being, a small speck of sand, that can be blown away by the wind at any time...so pls. don't think at any moment that you're 'great' for He is that, not you :>

On Top of a Hill, a Cross, a Crown and Calvary and On Kings and Queens

CONNECTIONS AND CORRELATIONS. This is really weird and come to think of it, it's the most holiest of weeks. I was googling the lyrics of "The Old Rugged Cross" to come hand in hand with my holy week music blog entry of the same title but lo and behold, check this... http://synergy_2.tripod.com/lyrics/ruggedc1.html I don't even have to post my music for it came with it, pls. CLICK the link, and wait for a few seconds for the tune itself :) The saddest music I've ever heard in my entire life, "The Old Rugged Cross" and this was dating back in the elementary grades, right the same year I was crowned a Queen for a night, laughs. See the pic? I have proof :> And Percy was the King. This pic was given to me just not too long ago by my teacher Mrs. Casiano, Percy's mom also. That 'remembrance' penmanship on the pic is hers, my teacher's handwriting :)

Now if you look at the bottom of the lyrics, if you've CLICKED the link, this music was written HERE in Michigan of all places, laughs. And now to make the story more complicated, Mrs. Casiano dressed me in a blue semi- Maria Clara outfit then, I still remember that dress clearly :) like I was the Virgin Mary in that play when we went downtown to show it one Holy Week, a long time ago. Jesus was dead, nailed on the cross and I was in distress as His mother. With this music being sang in the background. Gosh! What a very nice memory! And up to this day, me and my teacher still writes to one another. She had four sons and she said she does consider me as the daughter, she never had. She always ends her letters to me as "your mom" funny isn't it? She is on her 80's now and her husband just died this year, very sad. But truly this song's melody is so melancholy, mournful and mesmerizing at the same time. It touched my heart like no other song did, very fitting for this week entry on my journal. And in the process I've gotten more. Memories that no money can buy...plus that feeling that I've been a queen even for a moment and even for just once, however short of a period that is, maybe. Truly a treasure to keep... in my heart, in my mind and in my memories. I truly consider myself very lucky indeed. And thank God for that :) Aside from "O Holy Night" I have another inspiration to go back to the piano, laughs. If I can find that tape I'll let you listen to me playing this lovely X-mas song, which made my piano teacher then gasped in dismay for it's a level 3 piece and I'm only starting, meaning me jumping or escaping the basics when I told her that this is the music or first piece that I want to learn and I did, laughs, believe it or not. In fact I sent that tape as a gift to my Madonna like benefactor awhile back. The nerve of me isn't it? laughs. Just want to give her an original thing from me, that's why, laughs, for originality counts big time for me, look at my blog's name :) Not a copy cat :> Oh well...the truth.

The King of Kings, Jesus, wore a crown made of thorns. That made me feel so little and ashamed wearing a tiara on my head in this pic then, but I do share His cross in my life as I see Michael everyday, not only during Lenten season. And with His help I'm doing my very best to carry it. I know I needed His help all the time...to lift this heavy burden on my shoulders, emotionally and physically too, this if you've noticed the purplish bluish marks that Michael made on my arms :) but as I've said life goes on and it could have been a lot worst, like if he is wheelchair bound and besides there are a lot of others besides me in this very challenging predicament. So no time for self pity here, for life goes on. "Smile even though your heart is aching" as that famous song goes, so that is what you see in my pics :> A cheat? I don't think so, just making myself feel a little better here, laughs. Hope you agree :)

Songs, Sentiments and Serenades

Sad tunes ringing into your ears
Glum, unhappy faces you can tell
Wailing cries permeate the air
Heart breaks like a bitter pill

One's life is always marked by
The serenades and songs they buy
Like jeans, round rings or lullabies
Of Coltrane, of others or by Miles

Sentiments embedded in these words
Will want one's body to burst
In tragic tears one lass laments
Or in jaded joy as one girl sleeps

Serenades echoing in balconies
As a strumming guitar plays
Touching a honey's heart and ears
Where sincere smile or happiness reigns

Songs, sentiments and serenades
As flowers of roses and chocolates
Makes one felt loved and truly cared
Blessed as that of a picture perfect scene...

Moods, Music and Memories

Drifting, bellowing in the air are sounds
Sweet or sad melodies of love
Dressed in wonderful or weary words
Arousing as in rhythmic pleasant verse

Requests called for on the air
Tunes wanted to be played
Of one person's favorite piece
Ballads, lullabies or other else

How about you dear friend
What's your story to tell
Can music express it forever
In sunny or in sad serenades?

Moods, music and memories are intertwined
As life, time, the wind and us
Sad or glorious sounds or drudgeries
Forever frozen and sealed in melodies

Words translated into sounds
From a superb song writer's hand
Full of emotions expressed and sang
By an angelic nightingale's sweet tongue

Musical lyrical hymns or mainly just hype
Illusions, delusions or realities of one
Traveling and floating freely in the sky
One's spirit, one's soul, one's magical mind...
