who? that is the question...

who will take over the position vacated by the late senator? will his wife Vicki, 55, a lawyer herself, will she say yes to cast his votes on the sweeping change or reform in the health care system that is coming to this country before a permanent replacement can be elected to replace him. the gospel by Matthew 25:35 which goes...I was hungry and you gave me something to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger and you took me into your home... the family of the late senator, Edward Kennedy, 77, this is their favorite quote in the Bible which they lived by in serving others, rich as they are. public service in its flying colors. the decision of his widow will be very important indeed. married for 17 years, that seems like an eternity here where divorce is just a judge er a lawyer away. what is also interesting in their love story is that the late senator hid their engagement ring in a coral reef for Vicki to go and look for or find, laughs, i think it was in the Caribbean if i remember the story right. oh well. good that it wasn't carried away by the current, laughs. but 17 years of togetherness, very short time compared to a lot of couples out there, but i am pretty sure that there are no regrets :) love is like that...it is not how long you've been together but it is what transpired in those years that counts :)

goodnight moon...

life anew...

go to the sunset dear prince
rest is waiting and willing
for you to caress
your tired and
worn out spirit

look yonder beyond
the clouds are welcoming
you, separating the sky
an endless blue
peace is here
for you, at last...

goodbye dear senator, may you live forever in peace and eternal glory with God...

remembering Senator Edward M. Kennedy...

and the beloved senator paints as well :) "the Hyannis Port Compound" which depicts the Cape Cod Home of the Kennedy family... his very own work of art...

Friday night...the most impressive celebration of a life on TV that I've ever watched...the giant of U.S. politics, the greatest senator ever, the best deal maker and the champion for the causes of the poor, the disabled and the less fortunate...it was only planned for an hour but it went over for 1 hour and 17 minutes... he loves to sail, to sing and to laugh :) this according to the stories given by his close friends and relatives in this celebration of his life at his brother's presidential library, the late John F. Kennedy, in Boston...what a man, what a life, mostly lived for others...

President Obama will give the eulogy in this church, Our Mother of Perpetual Help Basilica in Boston, Massachusetts today, Saturday morning...with an overcast sky, even raining at times...

"had given most and had asked little"

referring to the Kennedy clan..."they gave most of themselves to others and asked little for themselves" a CNN's viewer's comment in relation to Senator Ted or aka Edward Morris Kennedy's passing this week...he helped negotiate the passing of the law signed by Pres. Clinton, the family leave act, aka fmla. this law helps family with special needs children or any family member with disability to take off from work and care for them without losing their jobs. thank you senator, for that i am eternally grateful :) may you rest in peace...

an empty shell

the ocean is unusually calm and perfectly in a stand still mode, something might have happened. the waves are just as flat without a sound to soothe your aching heart. there is no ship sailing in the horizon as far as your eyes can see. there are no boats in the seashore preparing to go fishing for a livelihood.

the palm trees are eerily silent and observant. their leaves are frozen solid as the breeze is nowhere to be found. the coconut trees that lined up on the seashore are as dull. no fruits that are hanging up as your thirst is lost without a pal.

your feet are as heavy as you drag them to the sand. these fine sand, they're so hot that you can barely stand. the sun is very busy working overtime.

you spotted an open sea shell lying together with some others that are not. your mind begun to work and questions why one is just like that.

an empty world, an empty shell, dead, without a life
just like an empty word, an empty promise
that has no value to your life...

though it could work as an excellent decoration
that you can admire every day
as the sun sits and as the clock ticks
slowly, until the time takes your breath away...

"fun flowers :)

...that will surely make your face light up" mine at least :>

the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow

is there really such a thing
that when you look up after the rain
comes the thought and the hope
that you'll see colorful hues not the blues

is there really such a thing
that when you gaze up at the sky
you will put a mark in your heart
that will keep it from breaking apart

is there really such a thing...

when a child with innocence
smiles at you, you know it's true
when a child tells you a story
you can believe it's true

but when an adult smiles at you
your mind and your lips will smile back
but it will start to add up
am i being used and only being played upon
by a joker, or a con-artist without a heart

or it could be true and without malice
nor any agendas in their minds
my friend you won't be lost
if you look at the acts not the promises
that is baseless of the parts
you won't be lost if you stay and look at the facts
that will jibe with the words and the promises at hand

for so many plays, so many roads
and so many words
with so many looks
but only one will hold true
is the presence of the proofs
which your eyes and
your hands can behold

as all the rest are false...

then and only then
that you've hit that pot of gold
in your pocket
at the end of that rainbow
as you've reached it
you can finally bow
and thanks the Lord
for giving you that bounty
filled with bags full of gold...

so the verdict is, it depends
one may have it or it won't never end
the search and the hope for that pot of gold
at the end of the rainbow that you see in that window
after the rain, after that much pouring rain

and we could only hope
and we could only pray
that God will help us
and find us the way
that will end up
in our true victory :)

golden memories...

a piece of glitter
that adorns your ear
and surrounds your neck
a piece of dangling flower
round as the sun
and in circles
like the top of a can but
filled with intricate designs
stamped by a hand

golden memories
that your eyes can see
in that mirror
every morning
every sunrise
every time as
you get up and go
and every night
that you start to
close your eyes
and dreamt of nothing
and wished of nothing
for it was kept inside, in
that gold dangling gem
that you wear occasionally

no wonder for
it's time to say goodbye
as the music play in sadness
or in relief or in joy, as
it's time to say your thanks
for the days gone by
while you welcome
the sunrise that is
slowly creeping at dawn
while your lips let out a smile
for a new day
for a new path
for a new hope
of happiness in your life

good luck :)
