a different kind of pope :)

if you once lived to be poor and deprived the experience can't never ever escape from you again. it will be ingrained in the fabric of your existence. this pope carries his own bag, live in a guest house instead of the luxurious papal apartment and also said, "who am i to judge a gay person?"...

i love this pope. he knew how to be humble in spite of his power. speaking of those that are of the divine, sister elisa is one special nun that comes into my mind, unforgettable. she gave me a blue rosary just like this one when she learned that i am U.S. bound to work then. i was an OR nurse in the philippines and she ran the OR department :) yup, some people are scared of religious people and have aversion for holy relics. maybe for one they are the agents of satan ;? they probably thought that people who tries to be living the ways of God and His teachings are phony in their faith. that is an aversion and a deal breaker to me, a personality revelation. for if a person pukes in front of a church and does not even have respect for God, His house and His religious symbols then it is a good chance that he or she won't have respect for you either, just saying. so better stay away from these weird people. i will from now on...(^&*)... the music is different, the beliefs are different...

rare moments...

when you wake up everyday
you hope for a better day
when you open your door
you hope for sunshine to pour

people we meet in every way
people we deal with in deed
some will make us smile
others will make us pout and cry

to those that made our world
a little lighter and a little brighter
to those that made our load
not a challenge to behold

thank you for you are all God sent
you knocked our door with musical bells
that made us feel like singing in the rain
dancing in the light of hopes and prayer

you made our lives sparkle
you made it flow with ease
you made our lives dance
you made us cheer with delight...

as the years roll, you take stock of the past which connects you to the future. your life has joy because of special decisions that others took. it translated to a miracle, a rare moment that brought change into your life's path then and forever. now your life meant more because of the generosity of others. it so happened that you were in the right place at the right time when grace came pouring down from heaven. you are very, very lucky. you could not ask for more except that you are still finding your way to be a joy to others as well and the key is still out there. can you find it? that is another chapter in the story of your life which coincidentally your name, its italian meaning is happy. will you be a happiness to others? and at this point the road is rough and the terrain is filled with pot holes and dirt. yup that sums it up. it is hard to dole out happiness when your arms are joggling so many things. i wish that my life on earth is also a source of joy to others for Lord knows i benefited a lot already out of the kind hearts of people i've met. yes, i am very lucky. what consumes me now is to find ways to give back to others what was given to me then and that is joy :) till then the music may never play again while the search on how to create joy for others is in progress. you have joy to give because you received it. you have joy to share because God sent it to you and for others. and the sadness here is you have the means set up already but the way and the time to fulfill it is just not around the corner, yet... maybe God is listening er reading this :) all i need is grace from Him to have this fulfilled for it is really and truly my ultimate dream and happiness :>

how to end a blog or an on line account of a life. your life is still on going so it is something that is not an easy thing to do. you may want to put a period now but there is still tomorrow waiting and that tomorrow when you get there changes your mind. you may want to close the door now but as the sun rises tomorrow it is another day, another chance to blog away your thoughts and desires. yup, it is a frustration but at the end you are thankful that there is a means to record your takes on life in general and now you have a voice that you can call your own and that it will end when the proper time comes...

all of us grows a little older every day. the sad part is not everyone could grow older forever. some humans use drugs like crystal meth, cocaine, marijuana, heroin and etc. to fast forward their lives on earth in exchange for a little temporary high. others live a wiser existence with hopes of a more fruitful and longer life. when we look at ourselves in that mirror everyday, it gives us the answer on who we are. mirrors are silent communicators. if you see others instead of yourself, maybe you are on to something bigger than yourself... i know, blogging rest or sunset can wait ;> but not putting a little sunshine or light inside a dark, gloomy tunnel...(^&*)... in reality though we do not need mirrors to see us for deep down in our own consciences we already know ourselves...

"We must begin to see closure as a new beginning not as an end. As one door, window, chapter, relationship or a blog? closes, God always has something in place of it that will be even greater." quoted by C.P...

this is fairbanks, alaska? anchorage, alaska was the first U.S. territory i landed en route to the mainland USA, that was in october years and years ago. the northwest flight was rescheduled the next day because of maintenance issues. and i remember a beetle VW in my benefactor's home, an old blue chrysler that looked like those vintage cars that they drive on the woodward dream cruise here every august where american car geeks parade their classic car collections, that is fun :) but there is also a mercedes, brown, our senorita's car. i did not even imagine myself riding in a mercedes but i did, a limo and a green chedeng car owned by my brod for his business. i did not like it for it is too expensive to gas them up. free driver for us but not free gas, laughs. it just makes me think why people drives expensive cars with no legitimate excuse than to show off their wealth. i am excusing my brother because it is connected to his business but me when i will be in pinas i will probably buy an impala by GM, or camry by toyota. simple, middle class wheels, for i am not rich :) i know their excuse is because they can afford it ;) but all around you is poverty, er most of your countrymen are poor who don't even eat 3 meals a day so don't you feel guilty a bit at least ;) true it is not your fault to be rich, but you are given wealth and privilege so why not spread around some love and compassion to the poor by driving in decent cars and spend the rest to feed, dress, send poor kids to college? well, just thoughts dancing around in my head when i see expensive cars being driven in manila... it is night and day when you compare traffic, there and here. here it almost never exists except in populated cities. here plenty of traffic lights, there it is only one or two. there, you can bribe a police officer, here never, even if you are the governor, a senator or the president. i know it is not fair to compare but really what a difference. here we live simply around trees with birds chirping most of the time. i can garden in a small space. i can live privately minding my own business. in pinas it is hard to do that because you have relatives who are extensions of your life. i am no way complaining but there are pros and cons :) ...yup, to blog or not to blog, where will the dice stops ...(^&*)...

jade and some garden plants

when cats start showing up at your doorsteps their color do not matter. brown long haired h. saya in 2008, then jade recently. this green eyed black short haired cat came to us this year. you just have to take action and help these abandoned, homeless felines. i am not fond of the black color because it's been associated with negative connotations, like black sheep of the family, mourning and etc. but in japan black is a lucky color, a charm, so we'll take that meaning :) there are lots of abandoned, homeless cats esp. in the philippines but the weather with winter here, the survival of these street animals is a lot more challenging i think than in manila where a nice, breezy tropical weather exists, so they needed all the help and the compassion that they could get. no complaints here. pets come knocking at our door instead of us buying them. they have chosen us and they're free plus they give us warm, true and unconditional love :>

the sadness of being unloved...

left and abandoned
thrown in the streets
never to be seen again
by people who loved
them first

but how can we know
they can not tell their stories
they can not speak
they are helpless
life untraced

so many sadness
so many tears
hungry stomachs
meows of despair
and of endless pains

so many houses
so many dwellings
they've reached
here in our house
food and love is a gift

when God gave you kittens
dirty, with mangled skins
it is the time to reach out
give your helping hands
and keep them sheen...

for they are sent by God as a gift... ("_")...like sad and melancholic songs, someday they will turn your life into joy and cheers :) hopefully, but no, it is for sure ;)
