Life's Trips, Turns and Twists

A venture like no other, a trip unparalleled
To wake up in a new day, a new light unfurl
Your sleepy eyes greet you to begin
Your burnt brain wonders what this day will bring

A heartache, a farce, an illusion or real
A happiness or joy in your heart reveal
A game, a ploy all filled with toys
Of untruth, imaginings that is just for a fool

Turns for the better roads of rest or reprieve
Sighs of heaviness twists of relief
Takes of this life you and me will take
Think of the outcome, all of happiness

Long winding hi-ways, rough roads ahead
Only if you and me won't cooperate
Armed with God's grace we'll find the way
Of true happiness in this earth, our unique universe...

The Color of my Car

Pure and perfect as a cloudless sky
Lint less and clean as a newly scrubbed rug
Blank and white as meaning to detach
From a long jaded journey where happiness won't last

One way streets are roads to nowhere
One way tickets only say don't remember
I'm not back won't see you later or see you never
Better this way no taste will be bitter

Giving a gift to someone you cared
Is both heaven to you and for her
Just think of good days and nights ahead
In both of your lives nothing will be brighter

Sad and sickening at first
Sleepless restless nights exist
But think of the sacrifice you'll make
A person's life will prosper and be great

Again to give is better than to receive
To sacrifice in life is divine and brave
When some one's happiness is at stake
Bid goodbye, out of the way, it's the road to take...

When Angels Cry

Standing still, frail and weak
Sobbing gently, heart's about to break
Above a cold and lonely grave
A mother torn apart, about to weep

Gone is the son she cherished most
Gone are the days spent in toast
Cheerful cheeks, sun kissed lips
Giving her that smile so sweet

How many souls succumb to this
How many lives spent in wait
Of nothingness and sheer emptiness
Of dark filled nights and dreadful days

Life is but a struggle these spirits found
Life is unmerciful where heartaches abound
This earth for them, nest full of hell
A planet lost where bad things dwell

Angel of mercy, angel of songs
Lord up above please help our souls
That when God's good grace starts to unfold
No one mistakes it as a masquerading bull...

Tomorrow is Memorial day, tomorrow is a sad and lonely day
Tomorrow we say our thanks to these young souls who paid the price
For this freedom that we enjoy daily as the sun in the east will rise...

I really thought that this is a sad poem but the truth is, it's funny at the very end and it's intended that way, laughs. Oh well. To counteract bad karma, that is...to people who think that the devil disguises itself as good, which I think otherwise. If you're bad, it shows all the way in all you think and in all the things that you do in this life...

After the Tulips...

The lucille balls, ferns and money plants come out in purples, my second favorite color :> and they are perennials, so were my tulips, meaning they come back every year, no need to replant them, cool? isn't it? saves me a lot of garden time, laughs.

In Silence We Speak

Cold, purple and blue, a soldier in body bag
Lips sealed and silenced forever in life
Just months ago, pink, full of dreams
Now without motion quiet, still and stiff

Husband and wife inseparable long ago
Time travelled fast and people change too

Love's gone lost, cares freely flew away
Can't withstand each other, it happened that way

Silence kills, quietness can break a glass
Unsaid words, meant only to depart
Unspoken words thoughts in negatives
So surreal but it's reality in your heels

Silence is rest, silence is repair
Silence is salvation, and noise oblivion
Only a thud of your beating heart
Only a silent gasp of air coming from your mouth

In silence we hide, in silence we speak
In silence we say quietly our piece
Silence means no, silence means stop
And silence means goodbye, with a heavy heart...

"Somewhere in Time"

You travelled alone to find that special rock
You flew high over mountains, plains and parks
In search of the one you've thought had turned you on
To meet this person, with high hopes so full

After so much sweat, agony and despair
You found out, not true but just a dark dreary dream
Illusions, untrue, lies all but it seems
Who captured your mind, only in your brain

On dark nights you cried silently and sad
On daylights you laughed but just a front
Your dark eyes filled with tons of tears
Of bitterness like bile which is so unreal

Life is not light, life is not love
Love is spite, love is like wrath
Feelings of pain your heart can break
Arrows and daggers aimed at its peak

"Somewhere in time" when this earth spins
One more rotation, another time one more turn
Hopes abound in you that this time it's real
Meeting another someone, somebody you've yearned

Time truly heals all broken hearts
Always be patient and always be kind
Planets will spin as the sun will light
Your way to that person if it's in the stars

No need to dwell in dim dark despair
No need to cry a roaring river of tears
No need to hope, or no need to wish
For if it's meant, it will happen, all with God's grace...

Tsk! What a sad but funny poem. I always want to add a slimmer of sunshine to soak those tears at the very end, laughs...well, hope you all liked it :> not too busy at work so time to write more poems, that is :) and you'll just have to endure my elementary poems for I'm still trying to figure out how can I make them more sophisticated, laughs. Oh well. I really could use some help here :>

Cosmoses in Pinks, Plus a Cabbage

Next to powder puffs, the cosmos flower fascinates me. They come in reds, purples and whites too, but pinks of course would be the number one for it means LOVE...the four letter word as my name, laughs. Bunches of loves that come in just one tall bush :) I really adore, love, and like these blooms. I have them every year in my garden. Can't live without cosmoses and pink ornamental flowering cabbages too and that's very true... taken from my garden one past summer, totally a beauty. Hope you agree :)

When Goodbye means Hello

So many days, months and years, so many times spent in wait
Hoping, longing for that change, in life that you've ever dreamt
Lots of people come and go, dressed in truth or untrue
Playing games for all you know, using me using you
There's no time for that game, life is short, just a shame

Young or old, no one knows, if tomorrow's your turn to go
Wouldn't it be wiser to act truly, wouldn't it be better not to be silly
Energies wasted on the run, chasing butterflies without fun
Time to bid goodbye on that game, time to head forward on that train
Where honesty and truth reigns, where joy and and happiness is also near...

Souping IT Up the Dandelion Way

I'm a GOOD COOK, this according to J.C. :) What can you expect he is my son, you know, laughs. And the only cooking he grew up with is mine :> So, no wonder he loves my cooking :) I can concoct specialties that only in my book you'll be able to find, laughs. I like to cook stuffs in relation to its medicinal effects. Say for example a very delicious chicken soup mixed with greens and not only just any green. This recipe calls for that dandelion grass, those you see at the side streets or in the lawn with yellow flowers :) J.C. used to pick these blooms for me when he was just a toddler. Without anyone telling him, he comes running towards me then with these petals in his hand, he'll say "for you mom" :> Very nice boy, isn't he? Very sweet! But anyway this soup for the soul especially when you are bedridden with a cold comes very very handy here. I'm just feeling under the weather as of late, weather changes I supposed, so I needed this brew badly. Here are the ingredients, very simple, really:

1) 8 chicken drumsticks, cleaned and sliced
2) 3 medium carrots, sliced which ever you want it
3) 5 stalks of celery, sliced
4) a bunch of farm raised dandelion leaves, not those at the streets for they're dirty
5) 1 medium size onion
6) 1/2 garlic bunch, cleaned and smashed
7) ginger, fresh, sliced and diced, 1tsp
8) patis, vetsin, and pepper

In extra virgin olive oil, sautee no. 5, 6, and 7 ingredients. When the onion is transparent, add the chicken, cook for about 8 minutes, then after add 4 cans of chicken broth. Let it boil for 20 minutes. Then add no. 2, 3, 4, seasoned accordingly with no. 8 and voila! You'll have the best chicken soup in town :) Try it. You'll love it, I guarantee. No kidding. Then your sipon, ubo or whatever will be gone, plus plenty of rest and sleep of course...:) Free recipe from me, laughs. You'll be glad you cooked this meal, so what else are you still waiting for? :>

This Fiction Never Ends

Deceit, lies and pretense, are all but adorn thy pen
Fake as fiction, untrue, as the printed page unfolds to you
Engulfed, wrapped, typed... words, letters full of mirage
Scenes, acts that amazed your eyes
All but a story, all made up

Tomorrow, as the sun will shine again
Tonight as all the stars' twinkle remain
As the moon that rise up above
With its little light, to power the night
Only borrowed from the sun in all its might

Would you want to walk in the rain
Would you want to paddle in vain
Would you want to live in lies
Of made up and untrue lullabies
Or pretenses that cloud your eyes

We show our inner sides to all
When life's struggle is to the core
Too sad the young in all of us
Spew sadness, unkind words to our fellowman
We see them in unhappy faces, we see them all there in our midst

Life is short but once, we breath only how many times
Our steps are only measured to last,
With few and counted smiles at times
Bodies meant to decay, beauty isn't bound to be
To last, to stay, or to be ours for all eternity

Wouldn't you want then a true person in you
Wouldn't they want then to see life as true
As real rubies emeralds gold and diamonds
As those precious stars, that golden sun or that mesmerizing moon
Reign supremely in the sky, for all time and for all season...

Is this the love?

You said you're true but look at us
Suspicious unhappy always looking at our back
How come we reach this bridge in our lives
To wonder if steps will go forward

My work in print is just but a game
Remember we play but to you I'm back again
Can't you see, add, or just do your math
It's you my number one and my only love...

Again dedicated to lovers in this world :) I think I need to write more poems about LOVE, where the fun is :>

To Read Between the Lines

Did I ever tell you you're my number one
I did but your attention is gone
Did I always show you in math
I did but you obviously missed that
Or you just don't know how to add
Storms, remember come out and go
Sunshine after will light us through
Our path in life on earth will glow
And will guide us always if our love is true...

Dedicated to lovers in love, laughs...:)

"Happy Mother's Day to All MOMS" :)

JUST IN TIME, the MISSING PINK ROSE for this very special occasion, magically popped out. Talk about coincidences. Lost then, now found :>
"No other Love" from J.C...:) To all moms...with a special child like me or not. Yes, very true. Our world, correction, my world is my kids. The two of them spin my daily universe. The best present that I could have this day is their health, and happiness, although my other boy is really totally out of the norm. Autism had robbed me and him with all of that a long time ago. But life goes on, we march on to that beat of time whether we like it or not. I'm fine inspite of this, for there's really nothing that I can do but to accept. Acceptance is the beginning of truly living a life. Somewhere I read "to accept the things that I couldn't change" or else your life will be all sorrow through out your lifetime and we wouldn't want that, would we? :> not me and that's for sure :)

'Happy Mother's Day' to our very own mother as well...:) We all truly love you!!! THANKS, THANKS, THANKS for giving birth and taking care of us!!! Dear Mader :) Muwaaahhh...Enjoy your day!!!

And what surprised me was this boy's choice of music. Here we call this music 'Etude in E Major' by Chopin, so really, he's going by the melody not words in translation to the lyrical version of it, laughs. Enough of that :> No matter, it's the thought that counts :) Thanks my boy!!!

More of Spring, taken today...

Save pics, then view or click to enlarge as always...I love spring, my favorite of the four seasons...:) Colorful, fresh and green. Alive and filled with heavenly scents from blooming flowers of all kinds. The perfect earth's paradise, almost...the beach is missing of course :> and it's in the Phil., laughs. I'm not kidding...

My World

It's not music to your ears, it's not roses to your bed
My world is white
It's not sunny to the sick, it's not moonlight to the mad
My world is dark like that
Tiptoeing quietly, silence so surreal that it can kill
Heavy sighs, breathing fast paced, or slowly like that tick of a clock

Alcohol laden sinks and counter parts
Gauze filled drawers and sharp knives
My world is full of that
Achingly badly in agony, crying silently
Tattered spirits with weary hearts, badly beaten bodies
My world is made of that

Accident victims, gunshot wounds
Laboring moms, with babes to hold
Physical sufferings, body torn apart
You seek me to restore you of what you were like
To free you of your pains and hopefully make you smile
My world is here, always to serve you despite of your reluctant heart...

A Beautiful Mind, A Beautiful Life

Bordering the abyss is the deep blue sea
Overhead reigns the deep blue sky
In between lies an innocent child
Barely at nine hair arranged with bangs
Immaculately dressed in regal white

Teen years passed with poverty so swift
Decked with memories of life still so sweet
Adulthood covered with enormous faith and luck
Thrushed in other peoples' loving and caring hands
Armed only with sincerity and genuine smiles

Found no devil can penetrate a fortress like that
As if a house has been insulated up to the max
Goodness will rule and trust will dance
Where all humanity, all souls will love
That happiness and joy will crown our lives...

Lots more TULIPS' takes :)

Especially For 'YOU'

To my second prince' natal day tomorrow :) From my spring garden, full of love, and color. A heartfelt thanks to God for another year of smiles, laughter and enjoyment which your presence brought into my life. A blessed natal day to you, my love, my life...

Meanings in Multitudes

I look up at the sky
The sun, so bright and far
The moon so white at day
The stars so many at night
I reach out to try
To tell their difference
To juggle each their names
To decipher what they mean
My mind is in a fog
Clouded, blind folded, overcast
To chose what is the right
Meaning of all of that
I've decided there's none
It's only in my mind
For there are thousands
Things of answers to its end
I thought it was fun
To be lost in that guessing game
Of nothingness, or never there
Which only the wise, the wizard writer wins...

The End of no Beginning

You're walking on a trail, on thick covered green
Mountain or a hill
You're swimming in the sea, a river or a strait
A pond or in a lake
You walk, you swim
You tread you stroke
You run you rest
Till your journey is done
Till all your strength is gone
And you need to close your eyes
For a much needed nap
Like that endless game of life
'Till you die 'till you close your eyes for last
Bidding goodbye, farewell, to this father land
This mother earth you dearly cherished and love...

Two simple poems in 20 minutes, laughs. I know I've got gigantic lessons to learn yet, poetry writing wise...so pls. help me God :) I badly needed it!

Spring is here!

Spring means flowers and greens. Tulips and crab apples in reds and pinks, but less tulips bloom this year... taken by J.C. today :) I call this... Spring and me :) J.C. as usual don't want his pics to be taken, same as his dad...
