saya, the "snow cat" plays

she or he? i'm not sure of its sex really or maybe in between? laughs, it's a "snow cat" since he or she first showed up during winter time here in the house. yes, finally he or she came inside our house for good :) its fur is so dirty and filthy looking and i can feel its shoulder blade bone. it is so thin even its backbone is too bony with not much flesh at all but what can you expect from a homeless cat. yes, cat foods, a litter kit, treats and a soft cushion bed were all ready for her or him :) this cat is loving them :> she'll or he'll play with its declawed hands, touching J.C.'s tummy or my boobs when she or he will jump into our laps, laughs. yes, no claws, maybe removed by its previous owners for she/he seems to be very domesticated. knows how to use the litter box and wants to lay besides your head or hand or body. lovely cat, a pet for free who voluntarily shows at your doorsteps. since early this year "if no one owns that cat, could i have him as a pet, mom?" well, it seems like J.C.'s wish came true on his b-day and this boy is sooo happy :> now i wonder what happened to its previous owner. where are they now and why do they have to let this nice cat go astray? and abandoned it just like that? i hope it will stay with us for the rest of its life. our first pet ever. i have dogs then a long time ago but not a cat and it seems like there is no difference. a cat or a dog will make you smile even when you're sad, will love you as you are, won't judge you, and won't let you down and always there for you waiting when you arrived from work. thanks heavens for cats and dogs. they are truly love & happiness :>

J.C.'s ice cream cake and b-day present :)

this cat seems like it has been with us for ages. it'll jump at my chest when i'm watching TV and lay there and purr, laughs. we bought vegetarian cat food for him? or her? hard to tell for i'm not an expert in cats you know. one of these days we'll get it to the vet. i washed him/her but this cat is not happy, oh well. hope there's not much tics on it. "what a lively and lovely addition to my baskin robbins ice cream cake" J.C. said...and sure it is :>

beauty in the wild

it's really 10:00 AM in real time here, J.C.'s great b-day present he said. he named her "saya" from an anime, meaning joy in tagalog, i told him :) i named her "brownie" last spring, although she responds to "mingming" with a soft meow :> so I'm calling her that from now on, laughs. this wild astray cat that showed up in our house last January this year was missing all summer long, like 3-4 months. last week i was telling J.C. that i fear that she might be dead by now. but lo and behold by God's grace, this cat showed up yesterday in our doorsteps so i ran to get my camera and drove fast to buy fancy feast cat food for her. what a psychic cat, really. just by me thinking of her and here she is, laughs, happiness! so we pat her back, played with her for she seems to enjoy being touched, held or hugged :) she even came inside the house for a little while but when she heard that the door closed, she was unhappy and wants out, laughs. so i said this cat really is a wild cat with no owner...I'll be buying a cat bed for her and see if she will stay and be our pet, laughs, that would really, really be very nice :) she was waiting for me to come home from work i think under that sycamore tree :) although she looked thin and raggedy, still she is adorable, i think so. J.C. loves her sooo much, laughs, but she has not gotten closer to Michael yet and this boy will pinch, laughs...

flowers are smiles...and etc.

i'd like to think that flowers are heaven second only to beaches, where the dynamic, essential and ever splashing water meets the sustaining earth :) it is, to me at least. looking at them is like an experience so surreal with true people, not liars ever, laughs, that God had imprinted truth in their souls and faces, owning up to their words and not being anonymous bitching over their co-humans in this planet earth. yes, the hidden dark side of the heart, the ever liars that don't own up to their mistakes and have that dagger like tongues hitting people with lies upon lies and lie about it as well. so having a clear conscience is only in their dreams. to come up clean with your former offenses is the only way to have that clear conscience back once again, let's make that clear, okay? :) then you can smile as "wide" and as "clear" as your pure, clean conscience can ever dictate :) true and right :> for where clear conscience is... love, peace and contentment will always follow and will always be there...(^_~)...

sub-prime mortgages and easy lending rules by the banks so that's why homeowners are defaulting on their mortgages...putting the blame on the fall guy...it is the LOSS OF JOBS so these people can't pay their houses for their jobs were OUTSOURCED overseas, now that is the real thing :) even how high the interest rate is if you HAVE A JOB you can still pay your mortgage. why can't they call the real culprit of this economic woes? bec. big corporations do not want that in the open, but if you have an inquiring mind who knows how to add one plus one equals two then there you go...you hit it, bulls eye...and the solution? what do lawmakers need to do? keep some of the jobs here in the U.S. and don't be lobbied to do otherwise...here in my home state alone, more than half a million home owners lost their houses bec. they lost their jobs for the owners moved them overseas for more profit in their pockets. again, no union woes to deal with and no more higher salary plus insurance premiums to pay for. why pay more if you can get it for a lot less somewhere? so JOB CREATION with jobs that can't be shipped out of the country or outsourced if you want that word, is the SOLUTION to this economic melt down here. and yes, keeping more jobs not losing them is the right solution and i can't say that enough, really. i hope our lawmakers had learned their lessons in this tragic times. a house is a proof of owning a piece of that American dream and losing it is also losing hope at some point in their lives and that is very sad. the middle income working class is being squeezed by the rich who owns these companies or big corporations, the bottom line here. no care for their own countrymen, the truth of the matter here and not illusion itself. money makes you mad and evil although here it's indirectly. greed and love for money...there is a saying in the Bible that goes...the camel has a better chance to pass the eye of a needle than a rich man to pass the gates of heaven or the kingdom of God...maybe these rich guys has not heard of it yet or maybe they're atheist and not Christians...for that makes perfect sense...or else they've done things differently or otherwise :)

lavender blooms

violets and purples
bright and clear
little flowers of
mother earth
clusters of pure
and of perfect fit
lavender laces
in lavender lakes

colorful caches
of rounds and circles
colorful beds
of leathery leaves
looks of love
streaks of light
spray of perfume
a heaven's delight...

before going to work i was able to watch the debate between McCain and Obama for one hour and thirty minutes. both man a 72 y/o war hero and more and a 47 y/o black man with a white mother who is fairly new in politics but what a long way he had jumped into the ranks and pile, we call politics, thanks to Oprah's moolah, laughs, he even defeated the Clintons' well oiled political machinery. that is an achievement of gigantic proportion, so these two men gave their best. in my opinion, although i know it does not count much, McCain won the debate for he should. after all he'd been in politics forever, more knowledgeable in foreign policy for that is his forte, been there and done that kind of way. and he said that he doesn't need the so called on the job training for the highest office of the land which i agree. he looked relaxed and at ease most of the time old as he is, laughs, but looked good for his age, maybe bec. of him having a young wife 20 years his junior, laughs, i dunno :) Obama looked tired. this is the first so two more to go :) every one is entitled to their own opinion and i know mine differs from others. and as we all know debates can influence an election in some ways but it does not necessarily mean that the winner will become the president, so all eyes comes November 4 for the final verdict, and may the deserving person wins :) and lastly i never thought that John McCain is that funny, quick witted and has that meaningful smile ...at one point he mentioned "are you afraid I'm not going to hear you?" in response to Obama not addressing him at a certain point in that debate. that was really funny, laughs. oh well, this coming Thursday will be another interesting night, a pit bull with lipstick...hmn, hope she'll win a bite, laughs.

little things mean a lot by kitty kallen...

the intelligence factor. will it help you get elected as president here in the U.S.? John Kerry won all the debates against George Bush and you don't have to guess who became president. Hillary Clinton won all the debates against Barack Obama and you don't have to guess who is the democratic candidate vying for president here. it is a combination of all the sum of all the thoughts and preferences of the electorate and the majority made the wrong choice for the past 8 years here, just look at the economy for it speaks volume. just like love you know. we are blinded with something at first maybe beauty not character that turned out to be fakes just not that skin deep and not the real thing that will make us truly happy at the end. so good luck guys to our choices. but we have a mind that can add and can substract. so i say whatever turns you on and make you happy...go for it and never let them go or your votes go somewhere else...(^_~)...this just makes sense. happiness after all is knowing that we made our choices by ourselves. for who knows best and who knows us well? we, you and me :> so good luck to all of us :) and cross our fingers that we will make that right choice at the end with the help of God of course who knows all and knows best :)

impatiens in purples and pinks & plus...

impatiens, one of my favorite annual plant. they come in different colors but pink and purples are my favorite. it's getting cold now so my plants are mostly gone except for these blooms and one or two here and there. yes, impatiens are impatiently blooming at this time late in the season :)

there is this financial crises sweeping wall street this week. it was termed by Allan Greenspan as the one in a century catasthropic disaster in financial terms second only to 9-11. a very sad thing. big investment mortgage banks are collapsing one by one due to record number of mortgage foreclosures. 10 million American homeowners are losing their homes due to unemployment, losing their jobs bec. big corporations are shipping their businesses out of the U.S. no jobs means no money to pay for their mortgages, just sad. they can twist it as they wanted to but that is the real reason, the real story of this economic meltdown here. so simple really and it is the truth. these big corporations here do not want to pay health insurance and don't want to be bothered with labor union headaches so they ship their businesses overseas. so when will it stop? when there is job creation. but every month there is a 75,000 loss of jobs here instead of gain. so even a second grader could figure that out. they put the blame on easy lending practices that people are buying houses that they can't afford. yeah, they can't for sure when they'll be out of job for that is a given. and it is only going to get worst when jobs are shipped overseas and more are on the way out. so pls. help him God, whoever will be elected the next president here comes November. Bill Clinton did a very good job then, this country was in prosperity mode then, yes, those were the happy days, gone now... John McCain is a maverick but can he do the job? and Obama is a democrat but lacking in experience. so i pray that whoever is the best for this country should win and I'll be anxiously waiting. it is a race like no other to the white house this time around. a lot is at stake. the future of all Americans, no matter what color, age, gender or race, is on the table. i hope and pray that no more continuation of the economic bleeding that this country had suffered enormously under this current administration. time to turn a new leaf...time to see a new beginning, where hope is alive and well again in this country...

the best people in the best of times

old and spent your eyes
before me still twinkle
like a star
a former teacher
a former professor
a former mentor
of my life

gaunt and hesitant
in your stride
your mind though
is still hot and brilliant
like the sun
a former semi-mom
a fairy godmother
a perpetual help
in my life

to you my teacher
not old but former teacher
to you my mentor
not old but 93 years young
you are now
at the final stages of life
which EVERYONE
no exception
will be there in time
will be there to face
the music that God
will play for us at hand

i adore you
i love you
i'll never forget you
till the end of time...

isn't it so sad that we thought that we can use as a weapon the ages of our enemies or the enemies of our loveones. my MOTHER with her wisdom always say, "be careful with what you despise bec. in hindsight you might be in their shoes, someday, sooner or later" as in you will get old too eventually like everyone else, no exception... and one younger than you in the future might play the game that you are playing now :) so to all of you my "former" professors, as if anyone is reading this, laughs, i thank you all for your brain power transferred into mine and more for i try not to be tactless and disrespectful of others, younger or older than me :)...for I've known it a long time ago... that my own WORDS defines ME, and not respecting people with MENIAL? but respectful jobs such as maids and security guards and not putting them down will bode well in my resume as a human being. and this is not being LOUD but being frank in my assessment of what kind of a human being you, me and all of us are...yes, i try not to use similes to hide the true meaning of my words for that is being mean and coward...i'll just say that i face the music and try to dance with it the best that i can. loud, soft, my tune or your tune, laughs. oh well. so there goes a piece of my mind for all to read as if i have readers here except my brother, laughs. there is none? so am i safe with what i'm typing here? that my friend is only for the heavens to really know for sure :) and or as usual you'll be used and abused and make fun of in peoples' pens and pads :) not good, right? well at least you are helping them put food in their tables no matter how you dice or slice it and that is a fact and with that i can smile inspite of the slight. not bad, for who could have thought that with insults hurled on you, you are feeding people? for that is a winning train of thought :) so pls. don't stop :> bring it on then as they say...i wonder what more are there to come? laughs. i never thought that life could be a game too, yup never :) and truly i just don't want to play any of that, laughs. oh well. for i want to be like my FORMER teacher...the best person for all times not only on the best of times...and what a coincidence for i was mentioned in not a flattering way recently as a professor somewhere but really that is so high of a calling that my lowly self could not even rise to. but hey to you thanks just the same...for i take that as a compliment even how unkind you put it to be :) and what else are out there to mention...let's just say that I'm just targeting the obvious for now, laughs. but really it is just me at the end of the day, how i see things, life and interpret words and it might differ from yours so that's that...just a waste noticing it really. but i have plenty of time to kill so that is the reason why, laughs. so pardon myself :) or maybe there are enemies of a writer, an old professor that are at odds with a younger writer and I'm being dragged into it as well to slight me for their lady loves, hmn. just a thought, laughs. oh well. i read minds so pls. beware, i am madam auring sometimes, that is when the weather is right :) and yes i better wear my "bracelet" with a crucifix in it to remind me of being good and kind always :) and yeah, now I'm thinking this person might be in dream land, that school is still here...that "new" professors are still in the horizon? hmn although we all know that this is not the case. so ergo, the word was deliberately used, to slight and to demean? and come to think of it this person in not young as well. bec. if this person is young then you have a valid reason for this slip? of the pen that is, for some young folks' thoughts are on short distances, and that is a metaphor, no offend to the young, okay? but my friend, you are measured on how you measure others as they say and that is another metaphor for you, hope you learn your lesson but there is also this saying that old dogs do not learn new tricks anymore and with the looks of it this will be the case, so life goes on as usual... ignore it :) yeah that is "the mantra" i need to keep that in mind next time, laughs. oh well!

Elvis, the king of rock n' roll :)

funny and a serious Elvis, laughs...towels for his fans, this alone is funny :> just sad that this rock n' roll icon and king is gone. really, wonderful people do not live long, sometimes...ex. Marilyn Monroe, princess Diana, John Kennedy Jr. add your list...and now I'm thinking guys this song is perfect for your lady loves, oldie but goodie as Elvis described it, laughs. I'm sure you won't be scared losing them after this tune :)

***

well, I was in search of "America the Beautiful" and here popped this great singer, so i thought time to post you again Elvis, for i admire this singer of all sorts, rock, r&b, gospel, country, ballads and more. I'm a fan of him for the longest :) again, he ain't called "the king" for nothing. and to the younger generation, just click out if you are lost and landed on this 'personal' blog for this is not your music. but to some who likes Elvis, then by all means, "rock" with the king then :) and btw i was introduced to this song on TV by Geraldo Rivera. he hummed it then in one of the shows that i was watching, so i said it is ironic that some people in love treat their goddesses, lady loves or muses like this, laughs. that's why there is divorce here in the U.S. maybe bec. of this song, laughs, when married couple treat each other like this too. oh well. at least they have a way out, right? for you do whatever makes you happy and if you're not happy anymore in a relationship then time to move on and leave. life is only once and do whatever one thinks where their happiness lies. my take :) some of my co-workers did that after several years of marriage and found somebody else after and they never looked back. they're happier now so divorce gave them that :) I'm not for it though, but i respect other people's decision with regards to their own lives. it's theirs so they knew first hand what's better for them and i truly believe in that and i support them as well. go where your heart takes you, so they say, for that is where love and happiness is and that is very right :)

the changing tide...

it's too far
the splash
of the water
is barely heard
the sea bed is open
again for scrutiny
stripped of its cover
the water is
so shallow now
the sand is
naked and bare
the crabs exposed
as the turtle is
slowly inching
towards you
just very plain
just very clear
for your eyes to see
no water to hide its house
no water to cover its house

hours later
as the earth tilts its way
as the moon moves away
as the sun disappears
the water comes
splashing in again
covering the sand
covering the crabs
with their claws so sharp
and covering the slowly turtle
with its moving body
as you wait forever
for it to reach you
which might be never
as your patience ran out
as your time ticked tocked
and the minutes ended
and still no turtle in sight...

this reminds me of one purposely killed turtle in a Hawaiian beach, a female, for her meat. and the kind residents decided to do a memorial for her with her picture on display. lo and behold came one male turtle from the sea to join the memorial and stayed there staring at this dead turtle's pic for the longest. so sad of a scenario that some tourists there that were present cried...what a shame, why can't that person just be content with crabs or lobsters maybe? but a turtle, my goodness and i remember them saying that a turtle cries with tears too, so gosh! yes really, it's terribly and bitterly sad.

the many faces of love...

love is your parents that
always put a smile for you
love is your neighbor that
respects and understands you
love is a stranger that
has kind words only for you
love are the kind hearts
that you met in the streets
or in cyberland

love is the
person whose
intention is
pure and warm
love is the lullaby
that is played for
you at hand

love are those silent
gestures that spin
your world so far
and love is the light
that always burn
comes rain or shine

so again love
are your parents
and i suggest you
marry their look alike
for true love can be found
best on your parents
that have love for you
which is unmeasured
and unsurpassed...

open house snapshots

today at Michael's very new school. after 10 million USD spent and a year and a half later, the new building is done. the American educational system is quite clear in its philosophy that every child born in this country is entitled to primary education, handicap or not. we are lucky to have found this top school for developmentally challenged kids in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Michael's school since he was 5 years old and until he's 26. very capable educational staff and aides, two of these ladies are on top in red, Peggy and Arlene. they work with Ray, mike's teacher, he's in one of these pics but far shot for i was really too shy to ask for his pic, laughs. oh well. J.C. and me was there for its first open house earlier today. neat :) and the flag is on half mast in that pole in remembrance of 9-11...
