when the music fades...

i am scrawny, thin
and bony now
my hair is gray

i am frail
and weak
my eyes
are dim

i am all wrinkles
i stoop, wobble
and walks with
a cane

i'm old, spent
my memory
is like that
flickering light
of a firefly
in July

it comes
and goes
it fails me
more often
than day
and night

i'm old
no longer young
like you
i'm old but why
do i get to
be despised by you

i am your grandmother
i am your grandfather
that brought your
mom or dad to you
i am old
but as the years
roll by
you will be
like me
take note :)

unless you'll die young
you'll be as old as me
it's a trap no escape
to this nature
for this is what God
has made
us ALL

so please
don't close
your eyes
be kind
accepting
and respectful
for you'll need these
when the time comes
that you'll
also
be
that old :)

how true that even when you're young there is a time that you are losing it...your mojo is on the go as they call it and you can't seem to regain it even how hard you try...inspirations are as scarce as the rain on a desert that you have to wait for another time another day to reinvigorate and hopefully your old self will be back again...but no worries, life is like a wheel, it turns and spins. today it's nothing but tomorrow will be something else...so keep going :)

i thank you all for your visit :)

blogging is very cathartic and it is freedom of expression which i did countless of times in this blog already. i thank you all, friends and foes alike in this cyberspace for dropping by. may this new year brings hope, love, peace, good health and prosperity to all and of course to all coming new years ahead :) it's been two years of a ride typing my thoughts away. what an experience. although at some point it has to end as our real lives needed to take over. this is just floating, temporary like illusions after all. live life, love lots and laugh often, it's good for our hearts :) good luck to all and God bless...always...

8 instead of the expected 7 babies born to...

the pink full moon :)

i am a moon child per my zodiac chart so i love the moon just the way as i love the sun :) "goodnight moon"... by shivaree...a walk by the beach on a moonlit night or on a sunny day means happiness, joy, mirth, laughter and cheers. to me at least but i bet to a lot of people out there as well :)

betel nut...the happy nut :)

it is a mild stimulant that causes a sense of well being :) now i know why people always have that smile while chewing these nuts. but the set back is it makes one's teeth and mouth orangy red which really is... not a good sight to see, for me at least but it's happiness for the user. oh well. i dunno, but i would rather be happy in some other means like planting this tree instead and let others be happy with its fruit, laughs.

BARACK OBAMA, the 44th U.S. President :)

DESTINY had called him, he is the trail blazer...even me, i wasn't on his side then i must admit. i thought he can't win over McCain, that Hillary would be the better choice but he proved us wrong. the stars all aligned to give him the victory, it was meant to be, short of a miracle. he overcame the enormous challenges to be the next top man here in the U.S., 47 years old but looked very young, very intelligent although with not a lot of experience compared to those he had competed with for this job...i came to the conclusion that if it's yours, God will find a way to give it to you as He did for him :) the nation's capital prepared for the most attended and the most exciting inauguration ever for a president elect. what a fate, what a blessing for a chosen man. the beacon of hope to a lot of us...that we can say tomorrow should be better and i am very hopeful and very optimistic. God had spoken. God bless us all...
***
today is a bright and sunny day
no clouds adorn the sky even a single one
birds are flying gleefully above our eyes
people are singing out of their hearts
the tune of hope, freedom and of choice
the tune of change for the better of all human kind...
***
I've been in this country, my second home for more than half of my life now and I've never seen a celebration in Washington D.C. that rivals this one. the pageantry of this occasion is no match to anything that I've seen on television so far. more than 150 million USD was spent for this day alone, imagine that. with the dire economic situation that we're in, one would think that there would be some restraint in spending money but i think all is worth it. after all history is being made. the first black African American President is sworn into the highest office of the land, so it is a very big deal, indeed. celebrating change comes with a hefty prize and the donors to this occasion included those bailed out by the government using tax payers' moolah, hmn...now that kept me in thought for awhile :)

the pursuit of happiness

a bridge, a connection to nowhere
a sky that's endless in your eyes
a universe beyond reach
that's how the pursuit
of happiness is
sometimes

but tomorrow is another day
another hope, another dream
another wish for a better time
than yesterday that's gone...
***
welcome chris by andrea guerra...for the pursuit of happiness, a soundtrack...the ultimate in music composition...lovely and mesmerizing :)
***
and i'm pretty sure that the soon to be sworn in 44th president of the United States had found his own happiness :) just look and pay attention at his ever heart warming smile :>

good night moon...

the moon... by jackson pollock...top image. interesting take of the moon by him :) died young, age 44...like princess diana, marilyn monroe, elvis, john kennedy jr. and i'm sure you knew somebody else as well that has the same fate...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jackson_Pollock

will you let me catch
the evasive moon
up at the sky
will you let me
reach it until i die

will you let me
put it in a cage to
adorn it with
printed colorful
butterflies or
beautiful amaryllis
tall and bright

with your permission
i will dye it with love
with your permission
i will coat it with kisses
that will last

then i will wrap it
with succulent sea weeds
from the ocean
bath it with
dark perfume
from the octopus' mouth :)

then i'll turn it
over to you
for one last look and
for your approval

will you say kudos
i did fine or
will you say
please redo it again
my love
for it's
not pleasant :?

now, how's that my love?...note: for i can't decide to do it myself without your sweet yes and your affirmative eyes, laughs. oh well. another set of string of words done in 2 minutes...if only Oprah could buy my nonsense string of words here, then for once i could say i did not fail. just sad that i need to do it in obvious communication here, laughs. again, funny but i hope it's not a futile endeavour :) miracle happens i need to remember that :> and the race goes on, and Oprah, will you pls. visit my blog? :) and i know, it's my poem that needs redoing here, laughs. if you can call this a poem but i think it's just a cluster of fun words and it's intended that way. i hope you did have fun as well but if not i suggest that you hop onto another blog, laughs.

winter 2009...in our neighborhood :)

when it gets cold and even not...i want to be in the Philippines or Hawaii or any tropical spot for that matter...but first i need to get rich, laughs. oh well. dream on... me :)

air force one, the flying white house...

no golden touches like those for a king...simple yet complex...but truly one nice perk for the commander in chief :) and yes, air force one has an identical twin...two of them in the air at all times just in case the president's plane is in trouble... a spare will come in handy fast if you will :)

papang...flowers for you :)

at Saint Sebastian... at the Shrine of the Little Flower Church...

frosted flakes in that window pane
sturdy stems of the evergreen
wind swept shadow in my window glass
peeping softly and as silent
as my beating heart...that is my dad, visiting :)
***
why does a sparrow
sings of sorrow
why does a pen
runs out of ink
why does a door closes
behind you
why does a heart bleeds
with tears

love is not forever
love will be gone
love will be lost
love will say goodbye...

adoring adam

the creation of adam...at the sistine chapel, vatican city, painted by michelangelo, before and after restoration...

i came into your door one day
hugged you, smelled you
and marked you in
my memory

i waited at your work patiently
just to get a glimpse
of your meek, humble
and engaging face

i trodded along with friends
and relatives to meet
you and marvel
at your amazing works

i am a fan, adoring adam
called and labeled as
a stalker by someone
that he loves

how many of us in this planet
earth who admire your works
brilliant, genius, superb
as they can get

how many of us had hugged you
gotten a picture of you
and put you in our wallet
for a later look and peek

yes, the visits, which your
love must have winced
yes, the adoration that
your muse must have
hated, laughs

the meeting in the airport
for once, the sleepless
nights after which
you wrote about
the lowly language that
your queen had let out

adam has been adored
adam has been put in a pedestal
but does adam cares for all of us

the adoration returned
the keyboard ticked
the paint brush danced
the inspirations are here
voila! it's us, laughs

a string, a rope that ties
as the web continue
to spin or end
as the world continue
to spin and turn

until its last
trip on earth
until its last
path had come
to pass...

the question is, is adam a sentimental guy? maybe or maybe not...but life goes on for sure :> i am like a Mona Lisa writing this string of words in 3 minutes, laughs... smiling, that is :) i wonder how Elvis would make a song for a fan like Adam's :) i know, "one night with you" would be that one tune, but not as some malicious minds would make this out though, laughs...oh well. life can make you very, very sentimental at times, but really :? maybe for awhile, until that next fan would come and say hi, darn it, laughs. oh well, but pardon pls. just for fun here...(^_~)...you know :> hope it's worth your while and your visit :) for me just a tiny little bit of smile should do, but if you won't, then, maybe next time :?

an everlasting life...

January 8, 1935 - August 16, 1977...Elvis, the king of rock and roll, his 74th b-day was celebrated in Graceland recently by his fans and his ex-wife Priscilla and there was a show at Larry King Live done of this occasion as well. he died at age 42. did i mention that some talented people die early? let's add him to the list as well. the second most visited residence here in the U.S. is his mansion, first is the white house, Barack Obama's home beginning the 20th of January :) a former Japanese prime minister is his fan and when this man came here in the U.S. he requested a visit to Graceland, his mansion.

he was a twin, his twin died, a still birth and now Lisa Marie, his daughter had recently given birth to a twin as well. he is still earning millions even after death from his albums, winning over a lot of living talented singers to this date. what can you say? that is definitely grace from heaven. when you are dead and you are still tops in earning money then that is short of a miracle. indeed Elvis is blessed, adored and loved. his music will live forever. people like him never dies really :) they'll be here and remembered till the end of time. what a life of grace, full of it :) he deserved it though. with his music that he left us in this world...not to mention his adonis looks, laughs, he is the "package" a wholesome one :> a gift to us, his adoring fans and i call him my favorite rocker :)

"i can't stop loving you" sang by the king himself, for your muse guys, a killer ...(^_~)...believe me :>
