somewhere in time

everyone born will have a destiny
every tea cup poured will have to be devoured
every life that blossoms someday will be lost
creating memories in a stock pile of rooms
that will be forgotten as days move on
as time travels it leaves a lot buried
in the sea of sorts
when new generations will
take over
the cycle of life
repeats itself
once more.

"I'VE LEARNED"...written by Andy Rooney, a man who had the gift of saying so much with so few words...

I've learned.... That the best classroom in the world is at the feet of an elderly person. I've learned.... That when you're in love, it shows. I've learned.... That just one person saying to me, 'You've made my day!' makes my day. I've learned.... That having a child fall asleep in your arms is one of the most peaceful feelings in the world. I've learned.... That being kind is more important than being right. I've learned.... That you should never say no to a gift from a child. I've learned.... That I can always pray for someone when I don't have the strength to help him in some other way. I've learned.... That no matter how serious your life requires you to be, everyone needs a friend to act goofy with. I've learned.... That sometimes all a person needs is a hand to hold and a heart to understand. I've learned.... That simple walks with my father around the block on summer nights when I was a child did wonders for me as an adult. I've learned.... That life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes. I've learned.... That we should be glad God doesn't give us everything we ask for. I've learned.... That money doesn't buy class. I've learned.... That it's those small daily happenings that make life so spectacular. I've learned.... That under everyone's hard shell is someone who wants to be appreciated and loved. I've learned.... That to ignore the facts does not change the facts. I've learned.... That when you plan to get even with someone, you are only letting that person continue to hurt you. I've learned.... That love, not time, heals all wounds. I've learned.... That the easiest way for me to grow as a person is to surround myself with people smarter than I am. I've learned.... That everyone you meet deserves to be greeted with a smile. I've learned.... That no one is perfect until you fall in love with them. I've learned.... That life is tough, but I'm tougher. I've learned.... That opportunities are never lost; someone will take the ones you miss. I've learned.... That when you harbor bitterness, happiness will dock elsewhere. I've learned.... That I wish I could have told my Mom that I love her one more time before she passed away. I've learned.... That one should keep his words both soft and tender, because tomorrow he may have to eat them. I've learned.... That a smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks. I've learned.... That when your newly born grandchild holds your little finger in his little fist, that you're hooked for life. I've learned.... That everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you're climbing it. I've learned.... That the less time I have to work with, the more things I get done.

in the ripples of the wind...

hidden is the sunshine that crossed our path
lost are the waves trapped in our minds
left are the ocean's pulse that splashed and dance
who could have thought that beauty is so bizarre

the ripples of the wind pushed the sand from its banks
it washed away the seashells, the corals and the clams
it changed the cascading waves never to hold back
swirling, slapping at the beach with soothing sounds

like music of nature unfurling in our ears
washing our tired hands, bathing our feet
cleansing our weary spirits ready for a change
a fresh magic outlook of life is now in our midst...

art is from the www, thanks to you whose hands have created such fantastic image :) awesome!

somewhere in time...

the rolling waves never left a trace
the sand dunes are gone
the crabs are battered and tossed around
when will the hurricane stops

somewhere in time where calmer seas exist
peace is the norm as tranquility reign with ease
the sand paper trail left the wind paralyzed
now you can walk leaving your footprints behind

without the wind as your guide
without the breeze at your side
without the flying eagles up above
as you struggle to find meaning in life

the sun is so faraway, the moon makes a play
with borrowed light like life it beams
everything will have to end, everyone will say farewell
in just a matter of time when the end will begin

in the meantime pluck up your guitar
jazzed up your sax, slice up your violin
roll your drums out loud
for before we knew it, the sun is gone

never to return again, never a ray of light
never to heat up our land
now all we have left
are cold days and dark nights...

divine birth...

simple way, little breeze, the night was still
in a humble manger's cradle lay a little king
not made of golden carriage nor sparkling gems
the Lord of all came content to begin His reign
to free us all from sin, to lead us all to heaven
if we believe... joy will be here...

we say our prayer and thanksgiving to the most high. we celebrate His birth. and we move on with our daily lives with Him by our side. with Jesus the path is always right :)

in the windmills of our minds...

like a circle in a spiral
like the wind it leaves behind
like the thoughts that are dancing
they're just the windmills in our minds...

sunny dandelions

sunny and bright
it starts like that
yellow sun like
it brings smiles

but later in days
the blooms turned grey
when the wind came
its petals were blown away

and scattered them into oblivion
as the rain pours
away into the valleys
where it was born

life full circle
it came to a close
life as we knew it
will now permanently

snooze...

my dandelions pic one sunny springtime and top image is from the www, thanks for sharing your art... when JC was six he used to give me dandelion flowers freshly picked from the ground during spring because they are the first flowers to bloom in spring here. running towards me he'll say "mommy flowers for you" how sweet... little boys and muses love yellows i guess. not my favorite color but coming from my son then i'll take it :> you can't be choosy, just give thanks for the thought :) living things like flowers will fade away but the memories will always linger...
