where are the robots?

Japan is tech superb but i was just wondering, where are their robots to work on these nuclear plants that humans are the ones being sent doing these very dangerous jobs of fixing these damage reactors. did no one thought of this before or they are just so confident that none of this horrific event would even come to happen in the future as it did now...wow, and this expert as i just heard in the news today described it as if it is a 15 round boxing fight we are just at round 3. so we are just barely caught at the start of this dire and desperate spectacle in nuclear terms. i really hoped that robots could do this work instead of humans which really would make perfect sense to me at least...

a professor of physics here just made a grim assessment of what is going on in Japan's nuclear reactors. that meltdown is on the way if it hasn't happened yet, so he is talking of the last resort of calling the army like what Mr. Gorbachev did in Chernobyl. they dumped sand bags and poured concrete to seal that place. and you can not even imagine the great sacrifice of these japanese workers there. they are literally giving up their lives. the government officials are just new in their office so there is a scramble of what to do in that government. how sad and how heroic if you think about people involved in this seemingly race against time of winning a losing battle...
