after he parked his explosives packed nissan path finder at times square in new york with a plan to terrorize and kill innocent civilians, this Pakistani-American failed bomber was arrested at JFK international airport ready to fly out of the country only 53 hrs. after his crime. he was watched by at least 82 surveillance cameras at that part of new york. even after destroying the VIN, 'vehicle identification number' of that SUV, he thought there is only one but sources said that there are 15 other places in a vehicle where this VIN was etched or hidden. i only know one place in our car, it's in front of the driver in the dashboard. and after using a fake license plate, very clever, but not really that clever, for he thought he could get away with it but the arms of the law was much more smarter than him. his plan did not materialize like that underwear x-mas season bomber here, thankfully. the devil failed once again for really another proof that there is always a God watching over us :) so these xmas time travelers then and these people in the big apple now were luckily spared of a very tragic incident and possibly loss of lives...
and speaking of true tragedy...one is going on in the gulf of mexico for days and days now and there is no end in sight at this moment. the BP oil spill is still in progress without a near solution looming in the horizon. they profited billions during the bush administration and now what goes around comes around but the sad part in this is, it will also take with it human livelihoods and countless marine and avian lives plus destroying beaches and marsh lands in these gulf states. a very serious environmental tragedy of magnanimous proportion that will have its effects not only in a short period of time but in decades. now how about that for a truly very somber mood down south...
