Have you ever wondered once
Looked inside you, if you'd given a chance
To a person's day, or life
By being a rock or a guide
Traveling on a limited journey
In this earth as a nobody
Laughter and tears in the process
Hours of happiness, loads of sadness
But what is important is why
Do we give as we try
To uncover this earth's secrets
Hidden by God and His angels
Learning from the past we can see
As other people lived their way
Saints and sinners alike
Gave us the truth and the light
For me I can say
I'd given a gift, as of today
An act, that will brighten one's day
One's future life, maybe
Some may never know
That to do that is to grow
To a much more higher plane
In that hierarchy of the living
To give is an example of how to live
Always better than to receive
And the sure way to achieve
That hard to get, but much wanted happiness...
