don't chase the sunset
for it is futile and useless
let's chase the sunrise
for it will be bright for awhile
darkness will follow
if you play at sundown
the moon's light is borrowed
while you dream of tomorrow
sunsets are rest time
sleep and quiet time
nothing will happen
for every body is beholden
creatures will be dreaming
of illusions that won't happen
let's wake up and remember
that sunsets are the end
in sunrise lies the real time
you'll see the truth and the real task
you can't tell in the dark
if games are being played at
but in sunrise the sun
will take the mask out
void of fake covers and colors
for the sun's rays will shine out...
