the model of hope, faith and love...

happy b-day to our mother of perpetual help last 9-8 :)...pic was taken at the entrance of our church here. let's give our mother a gift :) either a song, a visit, being kind even to those that are not, doing charitable acts, changing lives for the better as in giving donations, doing volunteer work to causes that move you or those that matter to you. i can go on and on. touching lives and making our moments count before it's too late. kudos to those that have done it and to those that are still planning to do it. hearts that heal are hearts that care. open hands are blessed hands. love that is given to others is love that will be returned to us in a hundred fold...as in what comes around goes around only in better terms and in better times. so what are we still waiting for, let's do it. our mother is watching us plus her son Jesus and our father that is God :)

Anderson Cooper will have a new daytime show titled "anderson" yeah, i think that's the title. it centers on people. he said he wants to know what people out there had overcome in their lives and wants to tell to the world :) hmn, i'm poor and still poor but i have overcome the search or the attainment of an education in spite of the odds but of course with the help of my beautiful virgin mary look alike spanish benefactor. without her family i would be stuck in the philippines and not exposed in real time to the inner workings of the world, the politics of it all so they say, laughs. you have to live it to experience it and to know it first hand and it is a big time eye opener for me at least. i am living in a place where i wanna be :) so i have overcome some major hurdles in life but still i want to accomplish more, something bigger than myself. the foundation has been established. now i only need prayers and the perseverance, so please help me God :)

WOW!!!

this young girl made me smile for a very long time :> what a rendition, better than a nora aunor, laughs. really wow, she sings like a lark :) thank you young girl, very entertaining...but ruben tagalog and co. sang this song sadly. death caused by love. why it has to be that way, i dunno.

politics suck. it is definitely a hindrance to progress, to creating jobs. the "occupy wall street" protestors are on the roll. imagine 1% of americans owns 20% of this country's wealth. so they have more moolah to buy politicians, grease them to vote for their causes. akala ko sa pilipinas lang ang ganyan pero kahit dito pareho rin. nakakalungkot and it's very frustrating! and daming naghihirap na kababayan nila, these republican members of the lower house or congress ay walang puso talaga. life is short, kong ang pera mo ay limpak limpak na nga ano pa ba ang gusto nila diba. why not help the jobless, the homeless, the poor naman sana. pero do nothing para pres. obama won't be able to create jobs, with hold the vote, iyan ang mantra nila...the goal? to make obama a one term president. so politics came first before the people. i can cry but i won't. i'll just pray for miracles, it happened to me then and it can happen again or better yet it might just happen again...

even geniuses die. gone too soon, mr. jobs, thanks sooo much for my ipod...imagine if you had lived for 30 years more. what  marvelous inventions could you have come up with for us to enjoy, play with or instruments or toys that could make our lives more easier to bear. see that's the sad part. now we gonna miss you every time we open our ipods, ipads and iPhone plus our macs...yeah, we understood, God has called you to return your borrowed life, like we will all do someday, somewhere, sometime...sad...

always a lost race

i heard the seasons knocked
and every time i ran to the door
i aged a little or i aged more
the toad croaked at a pond
and i ran to catch it if i can
but he is just about gone

the river went wild when
i was learning how to swim
but alas now that i can
the climate changed
the river was now dry
the water said goodbye

it wasn't meant to be
it was not time to sing
a rock and roll tune
for the years had moved on
as the clock ticked
the days ran ahead

don't be sorry now
each has its place
theirs was yesteryear's
and tomorrow is a question
of who could catch it
and put on in their pockets :)

sad that some of us had lived in dreams and had lost time in the process...there is really a definite change in the weather or climate here in the U.S. when JC was young at this time all the leaves are mostly on the ground, ready to be raked by my husband, laughs. but now as you can see everything is still green like we're still in summer mode but it's really autumn aka fall. there is global warming and it is happening now...image is an amorsolo painting of malate church in his time :) lovely!

thank God for days and nights, even the good and the bad. thank God for all the years. it was all fun in spite of the heartaches, setbacks, disappointments and the likes. the fakes, the true, the illusions, the real and the in between for they all add up to our encounters and experiences in this life. life is great even with its pains...(^&*)...and thank God for a blog that records our voyage, our ongoing journey in this universe of ours :)...some people are so lucky like steve jobs. although gone too soon, he had accomplished so much that a billion of us won't ever do in our lifetimes. some of us live decently, free of drugs, free of smoke and alcohol or free of this and that, still we are nothing in comparison with this man of very humble beginnings. adopted, dropped out of college, fired in his job but went on to invent things that boggle and capture the mind. life is only one shot and his shot was bull's eye, perfect and flawless...revered by millions, unforgotten by millions, loved by millions...way to go mr. jobs :)

an american sycamore tree :)

the sycamore tree infront of me as i look out at the window. it was really so big then but the city trimmed it for us. they cut quite a few branches that the trunk also slimmed down. did you know that the trunk will open up on very cold winters. spooky. the seeds of this tree went to outer space with the apollo space ship for experimental purposes, i guess. i read that somewhere in the past. so of all the trees here this specie was chosen by NASA so it must be one nice tree. during winter there are ball shaped seed pods hanging at those bare brances, maybe a decor after the leaves are gone because of the cold...truly a very interesting sight to see. dangling balls connected to brown bare branches...click image for a larger view :)...and me like nora in pink, laughs. even how sad a song is, if nora sings it, i can be happy :>

as the wind blows, the wind wins...

beyond the ripples of the wind...

how gently the warm breeze
caresses your leaves
these soon to be yellow
sycamore mat dress
dangling, hypnotizing and
swaying canopy of greens

the wind had chosen you
to pick and to play with
shaking your brown branches
as it peels off its clothes
of whitish papery thin film

your leaves must be
as soft as a cotton candy
that a child loves to lick
as the tongue melts
with its sweet sugary taste

my eyes love the notes
made by the ripple of the wind
a dancing demo turning
into drips of nectar
soothing tired spirits into sleep

God sends us a message
as the universe turns
as the light beams as the light dims
you smile then it becomes a
magical moment of silence

silence of whiteness, lack of darkness
filled with light covered cherries
as it envelops you, as it hugs you
you both danced in rhythmic pattern
swaying softly as the wind blows
as the wind breaks, as the wind wins

in harmony, in love forever
behind and beyond the ripples of the wind...

how true that real beauty is free. all we have to do is observe it, savor it and create a memory of it. life is really grand as i measure it with the gentle swaying of the leaves in front of me as the ripple of the wind plays with these happy sycamore leaves. tho' sad for it is soon be gone because of the changing of times, as the season moves on...(^&*)...this reminds me of the sahara desert. according to the history channel because of the wobble of the earth as it orbits the sun this shift made the once lush green forests and filled with fresh water lakes disappear leaving its inhabitants to die. this happens every some 20,000 years. that made me think how on earth could they come up with such calculations. based on the fossils and fauna unearthed at some parts of the sahara, it showed that it was really a great place for whales, dinosaurs, fish and the likes plus humans who lived with them then. imagine the tragic ending of these creatures which is kinda sad in a way. life dies as it ends. nature is beautiful as we live with it and because it has its targeted goodbye, the more that we need to think of nature as a play coming from our God for us to enjoy while it lasts...the sweet heart shaped cherries are or is my all time favorite american fruit :) as if you wanna know, laughs ;) why? for it denotes cheers, happiness, joy and all things bright and beautiful :) hmn, that was like a poem... all things bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small, all things wide and wonderful for our Lord God made them all, kinda goes like that :>

"sa ngalan ng ina" and nora aunor. it reminds me of the very lovely teleserye titled "bituin" ...that carol banawa starrer with the very handsome young actor josh santana :) i think nora aunor sang that song bituin. but anyhow i remember googling for write ups about nora and that teleserye and landed on philstar and had come to read some quirky columns that caught my attention, laughs. a writer that could make you laugh is hard to find but i did, though sadly now things have changed maybe because life had turned into the void, laughs. but who knows life may become full again in the future and we will begin to laugh again ;) yes, it has been that long and now the reason i came to know some newspaper writers is now in the forefront again. i'm happy for her. i hope her experiences here in the U.S. will help her color her very shiny life even more. i'm just sad that i don't have access to her mini-series where i'm at for i have american cable not filipino cable...(^&*)... asia's best actress of the dekada, nora aunor, is worth watching, you becha :>

composing music must be one hard job. first you've got to have talent. second you need to be a genius of the mild or extreme kind and it won't hurt if you are borderline...(^_~)...music of any kind if it suits the occasion, it is always a blast :) "this year's love it better last" a nice tune but as we know you better count not, for love like the sun it will be gone at night and it will just leave you waiting and waiting in every sunset of your life for it is just fake love, laughs. oh well. sad in a way, but that's how life and love roll sometimes...from the www, the pic above is the american sycamore tree and a gently waving american flag. the same tree in front of me while i am typing this, swaying with the gentle breeze :) i love it. the dancing leaves of late summer...then comes fall, winter, spring, then summer again, my favorite season :) wow, life goes on in circles like the season. life makes everyone old no exception. but the unwise always uses to be younger as their weapon against the old and that makes me think of them of not thinking what's beyond. that they too will get old as well sometime in the future. it's just a matter of time :) no escaping to this reality of life...

and a bisexual nora aunor, what's new? laughs. okay now let's mind our own business and if we can't say anything good let's just keep our mouth shut :)  if ever we just accept people as they are, right? would you wanna be treated the same? plus who are we to judge others, only God does that :)

music is eternal...

but sadly love is not for some...(^&*)...love is what we make it if you think about it. give love so you receive love. invest in love so you'll have a world filled with love most of the time...(^_~)...i know hate is there as well. it is truly hard but we must for if we plant hate, we harvest hate. but if we plant love, you got it we will have love instead :) our choice really...

can you love a person that hates you so much. can you make a flower bloom in the deepest part of the ocean. can you make the sun to stop leaving at night. can you make the moon to stay always in a round phase although we love its shape of a smile at times. or can you tell a story that captivates the universe. can you light up a room with your smile. i remember, i read this in the past as a tribute of guys in love for their muses :)

can you make a soul sing for you. can you make a skeptic believe you. can you make love works for you, can you bury hate forever under six feet underground. can you read people's minds, can you tell if they are just there but not with you. can you just make life easier, make love to live forever and make honesty and trust to be the whole mark of  relationships on earth. can you?

then if you can you are a magician, miracle worker and a child of God...sadly we all fall short, sadly we are just humans, sadly we can not love as God does, sadly that is a fact...as music is eternal, love to some is not...sadly. maybe that is why there are sad paintings, sad music, sad words and sad lives...

life is just too short to make sadness reign, my take. so let's smile in spite of the pain for truly there is the sun behind those clouds as there is sunshine after the rain, there is calm after the storm, there is laughter after the tears, there are wins after loses...

as after defeat there is victory for we have learned our lessons well, right? until we die, of course. until we leave these beautiful planet earth. wow, how can my profession reminds me of such stark reality? for in sickness there is health as there are deaths there are new lives destined to be born, that simple :)

and it's not in maturity that we know these things. it's not in the years that we accumulated knowledge. but it is in the wisdom that we have to know the difference of what is just a simple common sense as compared to what is a deviation to the rightful sequence of things...

in memoriam for all those lost on 9/11/01...

the towers had come to an assault
the towers had crumbled, both lost
turned into mangled beams of steel
bodies scattered all over, burnt
why is there so much hate on earth
why can't people love instead
remember life is here but once
sooner or later it'll be gone
there is no second chance
once you've lost life it's done
too much struggles, so much strife
eden lost, farewell paradise
tears come every year
smiles is replaced by grief
hearts torn bleeding in pieces
like puzzles that can't be replaced
one day these falling leaves will sprout
like buds of trees after storms of ice
spring is far, the leaves are gone
lying lifeless above these blades of grass...

this apocalypse happened almost at fall season 10 years ago. hate reigned, fueled by revenge i supposed. i remember going to have a car maintenance job that fateful morning so i was en-route to the dealership but i really did not feel good for some reason so i decided to head home instead and then this very, very bad news came out... america was under attack. even JC's school went into lock down mode. the american air space was shut down to stop any more attacks if there were some more coming. all planes flying over the US diverted elsewhere and that is around 2-3 thousand mind you, yes, lots of planes in the air...all were ordered by the president to land immediately. something terrible had happened one can only conclude if they are airborne and suddenly your pilot voice emerges from the cockpit telling you that your plane needed to land pronto. so in your mind things crop out, is your flight in trouble? but out of TV land was the worst news one could ever hear. i do not have any love ones there but my heart broke and something had punched me in my stomach. the grief was overwhelming, i cried and cried and cried...the sadness was just too much to bare,  the sadness was just too great even now. i need to visit this site, maybe in the future God willing...after 9/11, america has changed. it went into war to protect itself and insure that this horrific act won't ever be  repeated again...ever...images are from the www...let's remember all the lost love ones on this day 10 years ago. sooo many of them. so many dreams and hopes were vanished by evil acts of other humans who didn't give a care. who didn't have love to give. remembrances, renewals, rebirth. in sadness there will be happiness, in despair, hope, in tears, smiles, in death, life, in nights there will be mornings line up to come as in darkness there will be light...in tragedy springs resolve to overcome for hate is always lesser than love...

ang tangi kong pag-ibig

thanks to you FPJ for the music. may you rest in peace in God's place...and yes in music scales i'll take level 5, as nora aunor is level 10 :) she said everybody can sing, it's just a matter of levels...(^&*)...

SWEET!!!

a classic nora aunor tune. this song might be for her ex-hubby? since mr. JR is just one of those special people that really cares for her truly not in a lovey dovey way per manila bulletin articles, laughs. but nora, your ex-hubby do not love you truly that's long been established, laughs. he loved another woman ;) yes, guys and gals, lesson number one, loves are always there for you, no games, no this and that, no other women or else you are just being taken for a ride for a user is using you, intiendes, laughs. oh well. men tries to get away with these, but women are not dumb, laughs. no presence, no love, no care... yup, that's the way it goes folks :> so forget you, tell that to these chameleon men out there :) it should be that way...(^&*)...i just don't understand why these two are being paired pa in her upcoming TV novela, it irks me actually...bury the past, my take, laughs. if i am watching this nora soap opera, i am just reminded of the fake love of this man to my idol, please!!! and yes, it's true, art lang iyan, true, my friend...like love that is false :) but it can break relationships, it did i'm pretty sure in the past and who is to blame...our own self...of course...(^_~)...for if we play, karma will certainly get us...and the true inner beings of our muses, our true love that is, is now exposed and it ain't the one that we like, which is sad kinda of a way...but she could certainly change :) so good luck to the future :>

now come the roses...

...plus JC :)... i took some pics for his school's collage project earlier. that's why there are pictures of him here or else, "no, you can't take my pictures" that will always be the retort of my son and my photographer, sitted near my roses :> he never wants me to post pics of him or take pics of him but here they are until he discovers it, laughs...and he is really concerned that people tells us that we look like sister and brother. hmn, i told him that either he looked old and i looked young, which is a stretch btw, laughs... or people are just very kind or just plain blind and it is broad daylight...(^&*)...

JC's hair is shining black, here in the U.S. ladies' hairs are not their true hairs for they do some coloring changes. what is the psychology of changing your natural features? you are not satisfied with your God given one that you wanna go for what you really want? for you want to be more attractive? :) i dunno but we do it, although not yet for me for i don't have gray or white hair yet, laughs, but this is done to find satisfaction and happiness, maybe :> or to attract the male gender, laughs. oh well. i think it is good if that's what your love wants but bad if it's the opposite...we'll find out...(^_~)...

our health counts

i just finished watching at CNN about Dr. Sanjay Gupta's TV special titled "The Last Heart Attack" it is very, very informative. former Pres. Bill Clinton was in it.  no oil, no meat, no fish or anything that has a mother or a face diet. so ergo no dairy products, no fried foods, no eggs, milk, cheese, ice cream nor french fries. a vegan diet or be a vegetarian to be exact. what a drastic change if i am to follow this. but we can do it for our own health, for our love ones, right? so let's do it starting today :) but also not mentioned were no cigarettes, no drugs nor alcohol maybe because it is a given plus daily exercise. what a very positive program but that is what this MD is all about. he knows that health is wealth and having health meant long life for all of us...

Dr. Esselstyn's book about a diet preventing heart disease with clinical studies to support it, worth reading and worth your time :>

the last blooms of summer

it could have been
a perfect painted frame
it could have been
a timeless tune to hear

only it was a plain and
simple style of a plant
that only a tired gardener
could care to nurture and to have

it could have been a
beach of blue clear water
that is so still and calm
it could have been a
cloudless sky with doves
hovering above

but it was just an endless
dream of no paradise
just barren lands with
crusted brown earth
that boils at your feet
as you walk on it or stand

as the last blooms of summer
say their farewells, goodbyes
ending its bright sunny days
as the rainy times of autumn
and the sad cold winter nights
will soon come...

Cruisin' time in the USA, again :)

yes, the woodward dream cruise is here again in spite of the bleak economic situation around the globe. america's love affair with their vintage cars is still going strong. i saw one price tag for one not good looking classic car for sale and it is a whopping 4.5 million pesos. now that keeps me thinking. we were only there for around 1.5 hrs. and it is a whole day cruise. thousands of cars coming from different parts of the united states so that must be in high millions of maybe billions worth of cars on display just for one day alone. wow! only in America folks. the classic cars roll on with hefty prices...hmn, mr. jay leno, my favorite comedian loves classic cars to death. he doesn't have kids but he collects these beauties. i won't be surprised if he was here in the motor city, actually it is in the suburbs of Detroit, the car manufacturing hub, that this yearly dream cruise is being held. maybe they ship these cars here by train all throughout the U.S. and the owners either fly or drive their regular cars to come here to show them off, laughs...here are some classic cars or not that i happen to shot :) billions worth of moving steel, old, vintage, classics from the past, they are here to entertain the present, cool :)...i think it will be nice at this point to stop blogging for the time being... lots of cars to entertain my few visitors here...(^&*)...that is a very good idea :) the question is if the idea will go into fruition, most likely not. but i can try :)
