always a lost race

i heard the seasons knocked
and every time i ran to the door
i aged a little or i aged more
the toad croaked at a pond
and i ran to catch it if i can
but he is just about gone

the river went wild when
i was learning how to swim
but alas now that i can
the climate changed
the river was now dry
the water said goodbye

it wasn't meant to be
it was not time to sing
a rock and roll tune
for the years had moved on
as the clock ticked
the days ran ahead

don't be sorry now
each has its place
theirs was yesteryear's
and tomorrow is a question
of who could catch it
and put on in their pockets :)

sad that some of us had lived in dreams and had lost time in the process...there is really a definite change in the weather or climate here in the U.S. when JC was young at this time all the leaves are mostly on the ground, ready to be raked by my husband, laughs. but now as you can see everything is still green like we're still in summer mode but it's really autumn aka fall. there is global warming and it is happening now...image is an amorsolo painting of malate church in his time :) lovely!

thank God for days and nights, even the good and the bad. thank God for all the years. it was all fun in spite of the heartaches, setbacks, disappointments and the likes. the fakes, the true, the illusions, the real and the in between for they all add up to our encounters and experiences in this life. life is great even with its pains...(^&*)...and thank God for a blog that records our voyage, our ongoing journey in this universe of ours :)...some people are so lucky like steve jobs. although gone too soon, he had accomplished so much that a billion of us won't ever do in our lifetimes. some of us live decently, free of drugs, free of smoke and alcohol or free of this and that, still we are nothing in comparison with this man of very humble beginnings. adopted, dropped out of college, fired in his job but went on to invent things that boggle and capture the mind. life is only one shot and his shot was bull's eye, perfect and flawless...revered by millions, unforgotten by millions, loved by millions...way to go mr. jobs :)
