the iconic kiss that marked the end of WW2

the iconic kiss at time's square new york and a copy of it forever memorialized in san diego california, the base of 1/3rd of america's military force. taken at the end of world war 2, sailors were coming home and in jubilation they just kiss whoever they could hold onto in the streets ;0... you would think that this pair were sweethearts but no. i just watched it today in the history channel that these 2 do not even know each other personally. there was a campaign to find who they were. after 30 years one woman came out and claimed that she was the nurse in this pic. but lab analysis proved that it is not true. then another one claimed that she was the one and the lab analysis proved her right. so the search went on to find the sailor. one man claimed that he was the one but another one sued and the lab analysis showed that the second one who sued was the real one and his wife was even caught in this pic, laughs. oh well.
