colorful produce lying all around...

on to the produce' aisles...sooo many good harvest ready to be bought. pics taken today :) i really miss the roadside stalls en route to Tagaytay with delicious fruits, home made delicacies and shell fish, like oysters, tahoes, crabs and mussels. i have pics then hidden somewhere in the house...going to a batangas beach is a blast, but patar beach up north is also as nice :> memories of my beloved Philippines, that is, put a sadness in my heart. oh well. another thing that we can't have all the things that we wanted in life...I'll just have to be content here and live with that fact.

truth is here to stay

blue when you
see the shining sun
where giant eagles
soar so high
as planes and
other birds drift by

dark when a
storm lives in the sky
as thunder lightning
and rain command
as trees sway fast
and roof tops dance

truth is up there
and here to see
just look up or feel it
and hear its wings
pass by your ear
pass by your house
pass by your tree

for truth is
like the sun
it'll light up
when the time comes
when the time is right
when the time is ripe

as truth is in our mouth
instinctively we speak it
so finally it's out there
and could be
fully understand
at last

for truth is
like a stinking
garbage
or a dead rat
with its smell
you can never
put a lid on
you can never
cover up
you can never
try to hide

it soaks the air
it permeates the air
it fills the air
until nothing
can be truly denied

a liberation for you
and for others
living in illusions
that you've created
but now
they can go on
living their lives

and for them
finally
happiness is
here to stay
as truth now
will reign
all their lives
all their days

no more games
no more tales
no more tears
no more heartaches
no more make believes
these lies had woven
these lies had created
these lies had lived so free

so now
goodbye lies
for truth is
here to take
your place
and truth
is here to live
is here to stay
is here forever
until eternity
until the end of time
until the end of day...

the truth is hard to tell

the sky was bright yesterday
today it's dark and gray
the full moon shone
the stars twinkled
while the planets
turned and spun

the octopus' arm is ready
to plunge, to coil
at your body
hugging you so tightly
until your breathe is gone
with black ink
permeating
engulfing
your world
your light
as the sun
slowly left
gone

did you sleep with someone
and did not tell them
that you were sick
did you lie to your love one
that you were the one causing
havoc in cyberspace
a person with breeding
but so low in self respect
with your tongue so sharp
full of bile spewing lies
into the air

did you tell us
the truth
did you with held it
making stories
making illusions
in your head

but the truth with its wings
it's flying
it's moving
and it will land
and it will shine
above us
setting the score
letting the truth
sparkle and dazzle
the unbelievers
the skeptics
of this universe

the truth will shine on you
the truth will shine on us
no one escapes justice
no one can put a lid
to the truth
to the light
with its mighty arm
with its mighty power
for the truth is backed
by God...

just watched the majestic duet of John Shillington and Ruby Brown, "America the Beautiful" at the republican convention, these two are friends of the McCains'. the duet is so mesmerizing, very powerful that some people there became misty eyed. never seen and heard a duet that is sooo good and beautiful like this one. I'll wait for it to come in you tube and post it :) i wish one talented Pinoy could write a similar song about the Philippines and two powerful singers could sing it as well, some sort of a project i mean for i love these two countries. both are beautiful and both are my life and happiness :) ironic though, the republicans love America, but the rich are moving its manufacturing corporations out of the country leaving middle class America hard on its knees, losing jobs, with houses in foreclosures and still slamming us with high gas prices for these big oils are big republican backers, so sad. no cares for their own country men. yes, i like Hillary than Obama but when i think about these people being affected by the transfer of jobs overseas although it helps my pinoy countrymen as well due to these outsourced jobs are their bread and butter, this outsourcing should only be in a reasonable amount, leave some jobs here in the U.S. too for the consequences will be that America's economy will be down in the drain. this is what is happening now, for spending triggers the economy, but without jobs how can an American person spend? they don't even have the money to pay for their mortgage. yes, the fight between the rich which holds the GOP and the middle class, the democrats, has been going on for years and sad to say the rich is winning, the rich is laughing out loud now. yes we can change this? can Obama do it? i dunno, my guess is not, with his roots and meager experience in governing and all. if not for Oprah's millions that had fired up his campaign defeating the Clintons. Hillary might have a greater chance of changing this trend of oppressive politics played by the republican rich for i don't think that the greater American people in general wants a black president to govern them and Obama will be the one to shoulder the blame of this loss. only my take and i could be wrong. but in two months i will know the answer for certain :)

"Somewhere in Time" the music and the movie plus the place it was filmed, my place now....my all time favorite...the late superman, Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour's movie, the classic movie that i watch over and over again when I'm happy and sad but more so when I'm sad, laughs. a winner, totally!

and what an excellent speech rendered by this lady VP nominee chosen by McCain. well crafted and delivered with passion. i won't be mad if they win for Michael will be helped tremendously and all special needs kids like my son, for her little boy is with down syndrome. a no nonsense lady, the kind that i like second to Hillary. i wish that she is a democrat though, but that's life. we can't have everything that we truly wanted. we'll just have to let go and understand that :)

the color of truth

the half baked pie
served at the table
is open to eat
with its crust so thick
with its crust so pale
colorless and brittle

the oven was set
to burn so slow
the time was wrong
the fire wasn't aglow
as the cook wasn't
seasoned
so the pie
wasn't through
so the pie
wasn't good
for the teeth to bite
for the tongue to swallow

in the blending of the ingredients
in the adding of the dough
something was missed
something went wrong

the color of the pie
is the color of the truth
it's white and undone
it's tasteless and bland

if the truth is hidden
if the truth is denied
the color of the pie
will surely not lie :)

substance...

the room is empty now
the tables are turned
the chairs are stacked
while the piano is silent
and the music
is dead and gone

the cats scattered under
the remnants of the litters
the dogs in deep sleep
after the masters
after the celebrants
had left and ran
out of the garden
filled with joy then
filled with laughter
but now silence
abounds

how substance turned
into an empty space
how substance spent
disappeared and left

there are the voices over
playing in our minds
all are just memories
of happiness gone by
substance of yesterday
but just emptiness now
tormenting our souls
letting the tears flow and
hovering above our eyes...

laughs, tsk! see i can see loneliness sometimes esp. if i think of happiness that had left and are just memories in our minds. yes, substance. if it made you happy then, there must be substance in it :)

the truth about the balete tree

a green creature
of the wild
that sucks its host
until it dies

a creeping
dependent branch
that slowly
strangled other
helping hands

one or two
roots down it goes
it anchors on the
earth below
until it blossomed
until it grew
until it hugged
its host so tight
until its host
was squeezed
and died...

the game that one or two balete trees had done to other trees, is just as disgusting as eating a pet dog, or the game of words we play. so dog eaters, word players, and a balete tree...beware, laughs. it's obvious that you are bored but please don't kill another tree and live off it, or kill a dog and live off it as well...and game players of words...only the naive will fall on your trap :) let's play the game of truth for once :)
***
two weeks and it's election time. i'm off to savor the game of politics for it will be one to remember, that's for sure. and i am predicting a McCain win. i know with the polls saying otherwise, it is far fetch one might say...but that is what i am feeling...but who knows i might be wrong too laughs, and only God knows for now :) but really if Obama will win, i win for i'm a democrat and if the war hero will win, then Michael will benefit...so it's a win win situation for me :> and that is very rare and life goes on no matter what :)

fools and frauds

my trust was lost
in a plate of salad bowl
so tasty and crispy
i swallowed
i drained it
in my gut

a few hours later
my stomach
begun to churn
started to burn
to the toilet bowl
i ran
to vomit
to throw up
to puke

there is salmonella
lurking in those greens
there are germs
making me sick to
my stomach it hurts

yes, i was a fool
to believe and trust
yes, i was a fool
caught in a fraud

my grandpa loved
to dream of
bigger things
bigger lands
bigger forests
bigger pots

one day he signed
a paper note
out to the land
of promise he goes
after selling all the
properties he and
my grandma owned

but to his shock
and disbelief
he was just bilked
deceived, used
and tricked

yes, he was a fool
to believe and trust
yes, he was a fool
caught in a fraud

in the cyber world
of the so called Internet
we learned that people
are being victimized
in minutes, in hours
and even in years

yes, they were a fool
to believe and trust
yes, they were a fool
caught in a fraud

just like me in that
sweet tasting salad bowl
just like you in these
sweet talking joker's so wild
just like my grandpa
with these sweet nothings
schemes concocted
to burn you
to toast you
kicking and alive

my dear friends
sweet colleagues
be careful
be mindful
to seek for the truth
to ask its proof
before you
make deals
of any kind
that might only
run you off

be careful playing
with a joker so wild
be careful playing
with a heartless fraud...

isn't it so sad that we ran into frauds, jokers and the likes in our lives? can we be fooled and be played with all the time?

the greatest president in American history, Abraham Lincoln, uttered one of the finest sayings about human nature ever expressed: "You may fool all the people some of the time; you can even fool some of the people all the time; but you can't fool all of the people all the time."

so there we go... and we need not forget that we can never fool God... but that is a given, we all know that :)

out in the sun

the heat is blazing
it's high noon now
the sky is smoking
the sky is on fire

my hands and feet
burned and exposed
my soul and spirit
won't be torn

the breeze that blows
as the waves gently roll
is perfume that i smell
like truth it flows

the heart that beats
of love not hate
is like a hand that helps
without nothing it seeks...

when all is said and done

when all is said and done
you follow the sun
when all is said and done
you go where your
heart desires

if God is with you
no one can defeat thou
if truth lies in you
the devil will
buckle under you

when all is said and done
you live your life with fun
when all is said and done
your care for others
will be seen by God

dark hearts, Satans can
whine and dine
but at the end when all
is said and done
only cowards will run
when the heat is on
when the fight
had just begun :)

a flower is a joy forever...

"A Lone Iris" by Anita Wolfe, the award winning artist that can paint my happiness and joy...and i thank her for that, immensely :) for not all artists have the talent, capacity or capability to paint beauty such as flowers that mean sunshine and a smile for me. sorry to offend anyone, as if some people read this blog, laughs. but it's just a fact that others excel in something else as you and me do in another one, not me though for i never excelled in anything, laughs. now a question...is there beauty in darkness? yes there is but not in darkness itself but it's in the thought that it is a step that is there to be overcome in order to have that light or sunshine after dawn or after that dark spooky night. for when the sky is dark and gray i see no beauty in it for i see dark clouds that might bring floods that may drown and may kill some living things including humans, so it's agony and you're perverted if you see beauty in agony and suffering, you are weird and that's point blank...it seems like your own unconscious mind is making your hands draw or paint things to make it known outside of you, your very own repressed desires of whatever that is maybe which are being manifested in your works, like revenge or thoughts of destruction of those that maltreated you maybe when you were younger and that is sad. one can deny it all that he/she wants but the proof are there facing everybody's eyes, laughs. oh well. but as they say, "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder" as we are different human beings with different strokes, takes, tastes, likes, eyes and minds :) as some painters paint with what they've gone through in their very own lives then...and now as it happens in their very own world as well, is their present subject...my take :> and what could possibly be the reason why a painter refuses to paint your request? it might be "fear" that they won't meet your expectations? it might be fear that they'll lose themselves in the process for they want to put an identity stamp in their works? losing their own identities in the process so to speak if they say yes and surely that would be a problem, isn't it? but a painter should always be evolving and so is his art...in other words, a sensitive painter should be able to change as the situation requires for after all when all is said and done it is his own easel, canvas, hands and brush that made that created art work alive even what kind of a request his patron or his customer had requested as a subject for him or her to do, so it is a very high challenge for that artist at hand. indeed...if one painter refuses to paint what you want, that is a sign of inflexibility and unwillingness to grow as an artist in my mind, but this is only me, laughs. oh well. and it does not count, so that's that :) and besides it's the painter's art so it makes sense that he or she decides what is there to paint, right? although my admiration goes to the one who can paint me whatever i want as a decoration in my house, (yeah i know art is not supposed to be a decoration, laughs. okay, how about a show object?) :) not what that painter wants, for it's me who will be looking at that painting every day of my life and this is right also so and put this on record that i refused to be "tortured" by just merely by an art, i want that art to create positive feelings from me not negativity for that is bad energy, laughs...there should be harmony... the customer should be first be satisfied, laughs. and in any business the policy is that the customer is always right, so again, my point is that... make the customer happy for your art to be a success, in my book, but that is just me, so...pardon pls. :) and while we're at this subject of this so called art, I'm reminded of one of Mr. Jim Paredes' many posts in his blog. it's about a certain pinoy painter whose art is really needed to be given a boost, nationally i mean for he deserves it. his art rocks, i love them. when I'll be in the Phil. I'll check on him and plan to buy his works :) yes like a singer, it is in exposure that one artist will be a success plus that extra-ordinary talent as well similar to that lady painter who created portraits of Alan Greenspan, the very influential money man here in the U.S. of A, which airily truly resembles him in person. one painting alone had made this extra-ordinarily talented lady set for life, money wise. and that my friend is one measure of success of an artist. it's not in the hype but really it is truly in her very own created art plus clever selection of her subject, intelligent lady if you ask me, laughs, for that reason alone. for art imitates life to the max, my view, even no matter what anyone would say and most likely than not it is the artist's life or desires that in subtlety is being shown to us in those canvases, us the viewing public, believe it or not, so really it's your choice where you would want to spend your money for it's yours. the best that i could remember is that positive paintings are rewarded tremendously, check above my recent post for proof :) the Mona Lisa of Austria, named Adele. that painting is the most expensive art ever sold to date. Amazing! so why not paint your lady love, muse or goddess instead? laughs, in the manner or frame like what the great Klimt did, just a hint for any budding artist. this way you'll make her happy and you won't have that fear in life that you gonna lose her...(^_~)...just a tip from me :>

the fears inside of us...

we only live for
a century
if we're lucky
we only have a 100 years
to see the golden sun
to see the shining stars
to watch the gentle waves
as we walk along the bay
if we're lucky

what do you
fear most in life
what do you do
if you lost your muse
if you lost your wife
your husband
and your love
not to mention your dad
your mom, your siblings and
your child

fear manifests what's
in our inner souls
fear is the answer
to a nagging question
of what makes our world
turn brightly and colorful

that if we lose it
it will be death
to our happiness

like everyone else i have fears
that no one knows
like everyone else i have fears
that bother my soul

for me it's the mornings that come
without us at Michael's side, hope not
for me it's the loss of trust with
humanity because my mind
had failed and missed the mark
and that is
fear fulfilled
but liberating as it was :)

this is not a poem but just a string of words lined up as in poetry...(^_~)...

august's chill

it's august
and the chill
is all around
it's august
and my plants
are dying down

summer and
spring had come
and gone
winter and fall
not far behind

just love and you
circling around
just like a dove
just like a fowl
once here but gone...

Tamayo, the father of modern art in Mexico...his lost art

The missing "Tres Personajes, second version" by Rufino Tamayo

Rufino Tamayo Painting
August Uribe of Sotheby's is on the lookout for a stolen Rufino Tamayo painting. A large-scale investigation with the help of the Houston police, the FBI, Interpol, and a $15,000 reward has turned up no solid leads toward the recovery of the painting. August explains that Tamayo, who started out as a figurative painter, is considered the father of modern art in Mexico. During Tamayo's time, he was set apart from well-known muralists such as Diego Rivera, Jose Clemente Orozco, and David Alfaro Siquieros who were popular for including their political aims in their art. Tamayo instead embraced art for art's sake, keeping his national identity but depicting his imagery in a more "non-confrontational manner." Later on in his career, Tamayo became more interested in color, adding ground-up marble and sand to his compositions. He was influenced by pre-Columbian art, making reference to the ancient walls and ghostlike figures of West Mexico. August gives us an idea of the worth of Tamayo's art — the most valuable, an easel painting, sold for a record price of $2.3 million and his watercolors sold for over $100,000 each. The missing painting, "Tres Personajes, second version," was sold in 1977 at a sale of modern pictures in Sotheby's. In the fall of 1987, after its owners had placed the painting for safekeeping in an art storage warehouse, it was discovered that "Tres Personajes, second version," along with several other pieces, was missing. After the FBI and Interpol exhausted all leads, the painting is still at large. August estimates the painting's worth at auction today would be between $750,000 and $1 million.

Update: "Tres Personajes" was found among trash on a Manhattan street in 2003, having vanished from a warehouse in 1987. Elizabeth Gibson, the woman who found the canvas, credited an ANTIQUES ROADSHOW FYI "Missing Masterpieces" segment about the painting for providing confirmation of her amazing find. On Nov. 20, 2007, "Tres Personajes" was sold to an undisclosed collector for $1.049 million in a Sotheby's auction of Latin American art. Watch the original AR FYI segment that clinched the discovery.

Atonement

Atonement is defined as...amends or reparation made for an injury or wrong; expiation; or reconciliation or an instance of reconciliation between God and humans.

as i was thinking the meaning of this word i think of Michael. my brother once said, jokingly of course :) that having a child like Michael is just like i am being punished at something by God and that puzzled me. i have a sister who's been invalid with polio for ages but still alive, she can't talk and walk...did my parents did something wrong in life? i know they are very good human beings and of course first hand i know that i am :) i have a virgin Mary lady look alike benefactor who probably thought of that as well for she sent me to nursing school for free, i might be a good servant then, i thought and did my job well for her :) i never took even a vitamin or any drugs during my pregnancy for even though i am a nurse i am against any medication not unless it is absolutely necessary like antibiotics to fight infections. why, i am even against chemo therapies, for in my experience as a nurse most cancer victims died within a year of starting chemos, so it will just make your exit here on earth faster my belief. alternative medicines should be explored first when contemplating taking toxic chemicals into your body which is very detrimental to your body cells for it kills them too while targeting cancer cells. also on my father side my dad had an uncle like Michael, a mute, so I'm inclined to believe that it is genetics not atonement which some bad people wants to plant in my head, laughs. no can do. i have a little brain you know and i definitely know who i am, a good person to entertain such devilish thoughts...and i have a big smile for people who says Michael is our good omen for good luck, for my invalid sister is definitely one. things took a big turn around in our lives for what we are then and what we are now, somewhat, laughs, and i am really very thankful to God in this regard :) can't thank Him enough really, so that's why I'm shameless in my worship for Him which people close to me have known for years and that is just exactly that. the truth that i love God as i love my life, bumps and all :) no matter what others may think otherwise :)

my golden yellow sunflowers :)

a purple phlox and a pinkish reddish roses are at my window right now. flowers, flowers everywhere and they are mine. life is hectic, frenzy and busy, so it's just right to stop and smell the flowers while we can...for that makes sense, really :)

Butterflies Only...

in their enclosed sanctuary at the zoo comes rain or shine...winter, spring, summer or fall...they are sooo hard to capture in film, there are lots of them but they flew every time I'm near to shoot, agonizing, nice house though for a Butterfly Only :)
