Super Saver wins the first jewel of the triple crown today, the Kentucky Derby...this champ will go to the "Preakness" and then compete into the "Belmont Stakes" barring any injury and if super saver wins these 2 remaining races, then he'll win the triple crown. it's been quite awhile when a horse had won the U.S. triple crown. it was Affirmed in 1978...talk about what a name could tell you :) i don't go to horse races but i make sure that i catch the major ones on TV. it's free and it's full of excitement, like these 155,000 fans had who went to Louisville Kentucky in spite of the overcast weather this day had brought them. with their enthusiasms intact, the battle of the race horses is a must see TV for them and for me as well plus those hats, really. talk about amazing hats but that will be another story...these hats could come really in handy mind you :) esp. in this kind of weather...
