always and most of the time
we ask a gift from God
never that we think
to give Him back a gift
we kneel, we cry, we pray
we close our eyes so tight
asking, hoping, and yearning
our wishes will be coming
to greet us one special day
marking a smile in our face
making our heart beats
faster, happier and more content
but did we ever think back
that God will be happy with us
if we are the one to give
if we are the one to sacrifice
by giving Him the best we've had
by offering Him that part
now think of what he'd say
"you've made me happy" see
and this is coming from our God
the one, the source of all we have
my thoughts will be just that
He'd say, "so far so good nice job
