America Cruises...

classic cars are on the roll...from the motor city, U.S.A. pls. click pics to enlarge images. too many cars. so i have to post them in installments, laughs. these cars do not wait for no one. we wait for them every year instead...and they are not illusions but for real so you can enjoy them in the true sense of that word. you just marvel at the fascination of people for their cars, like that fascination that one have for their lady love, laughs, not exhausting and that's for sure, laughs. and we can enjoy with them in the process as well, every year that is...like a parade of love sort of...i smile as i see the beauty of it all...thanks for these car owners :)

yes, i watched the presidential debate, a part of it, for i was kinda in the dumps with colds so i just wasn't able to finish it. it's okay there is one more to go next wednesday anyhow. i think America is feed up with that elephant logo and is rooting for the donkey instead. now if that happens, i will be wrong for the U.S. after all will be ready to have its first black president ever :) and he is a democrat so...
***
why do america cruises? to live their passion for real :) and why one won't stop in the middle of the road? bec. one knows where they're going :) and why do people can't go on? bec. they are in limbo and can't be sure which way to take. let me help...go where your instinct tells you...(^_~)...this way you've lived or you went the way with what you've thought you'd like to live :>

music and art

"In my opinion, art should be like a kid`s game that delights, provokes and stimulates the imagination not only of the observer but of its creator as well." The aspiration to discover and portray the beauty that is central to art in general is formative to my development as an artist. It feeds my desire for all my paintings to convey music, motion, poetry, animation, and graphics. Through my paintings, I aim to reveal the border between the visible and the invisible world, the reality and the fantasy, the magic and the routine. Only our fantasy and audacity to ? the fairylands in our daily life can open the doors to journeys in space as well as in thoughts and ideas... by internationally recognized & award winning Bulgarian Artist, NIKOLAI ATANASSOV...

What is Love?... by Shepherd

"What is love?" an old friend asked
I smiled as if I knew
A friendly, smiling, knowing look
And all because of you
I told him ‘bout the good times
We’d shared throughout the years
I told my friend what love is
As I brushed away the tears!

I told him ‘bout the pretty girl
I met on Peach Tree Street
And you gently entered in
And made my life complete
The loveliness of little things
You’d whisper in my ears
I told my friend what love is
As I brushed away the tears.

I told him ‘bout the home we built
And how we lost it all
And how you stood right by my side
Dirt poor, but walking tall!
The way you’d hold me in the night
And calm my doubts and fears
I told my friend what love is
As I brushed away the tears.

I brushed away those happy tears
And I could not help but smile
For true love is eternal
I must endure a little while
My friend had kept his silence
Then he ordered two more beers
And drank a toast to the luckiest man
He’d seen in many years!

Yes, we drank a toast to the luckiest man
We’d seen in many years!

away we go

flickering lights
dimly lit our road
on and off
it comes and goes

flying fireflies
of June, July
summer sunshine
at night

flickering lights
flying fireflies
is not enough
to brighten
our way to
to reach the end
of our path

we need the sun
the moon and the stars
we need the truth
we need faith
and we need love

falling leaves we are
falling dreams, wishes
and wants
autumn is here
autumn will be gone
then cold winter
will win and run...

Anthony Bourdain...

is in the Philippines! :) the best food travel journalist, writer chef that J.C. and me watch, laughs. you can see places, get acquainted with other people's food or cuisine and it's just amazing. plus the poetic way he narrates his travel experiences, really a no match to anyone. i love to watch his show not bec. it's J.C.'s favorite but really it is just that there's something in it that you get hooked to, like beaches and flowers, sort of, plus music too, laughs. oh well. a very interesting man, i tell you that, one like no other. i'm mesmerized that i dream J.C. can have a job like that, laughs. maybe bec. of his voice that samantha brown, the lady travel guru couldn't resist mentioning him in her show, laughs. a cowboy guy, a life once on drugs? but he turned it around :> winner! can't wait to see his Philippine episode :) I've seen Andrew Zimmerman's episode, i think that was his name. he was eating estrange foods in Pinas, but Bourdain, i wonder what it'll be like :) better? probably yes, laughs, for i detest watching people eating worms and extreme foods, sorry Andrew. not entertaining for me and that's for sure. so viva Bourdain! you rock! but pls. leave the dog alone! don't ever eat it and i don't care about the feelings of your host, laughs. oh well. nicely done article :) love it!

Saint Jude...giving miracles and the impossible...

i know the impossible is far fetched, but i still go and i still pray and ask for a miracle for Michael :) taken on one recent vacation time.

the "future" will it be a failure or a success? will it be sadness or happiness, that is the question. no one knows the future than God Himself, so if i say I'd live with my family in the Phil. or still stay here in the U.S. in the future, that is only the plan for who knows what will come next in our lives :) let's just hope that our plans for the future will happen as we wanted them to be :)
***
nice pic of St. Jude Philippines here, i think so. although the rest room is hmn, not really a good one compared to the rest of the churches in Manila. but the good thing is there's no line, there are no 50 people before you, so you can relieve yourself as quickly as you wanted, laughs. and maybe in the future there is also music in the johns, rock and roll, that is. i know, an article said awhile ago that rock and roll should only be always for the young, but how about the young once? laughs. the rolling stones, the beatles won't be happy and so is little Richard, laughs. and of course me too, for i like and love rock and roll. oh well. i respect your opinion but you are discriminating on me, laughs. or an insult, for seniors might passed out in gigs like these? good question, laughs. His parents must not be a rock and roll fan, but i understand...(^_~)...

cold winter is just a memory for now :)

an empty nest

the wind swept fast
the branches of the tree
they swayed and broke
and fell upon the earth
and landed on
a shallow river bed

the cold and muddy water
splashed and coated
that feathered bird
until it can't fly
until it drowned
until it died

the storm that ravage
that forest green filled canopy
it came and left so quick
and made one nest
all lonely
all empty
unoccupied

the dream we had
of things that
we thought
they ought to be
are not for real
but still
we live in fantasy

my fault your fault
our fault for
it's just a ploy
to play a game
that no one wins

it will just end in
sadness and emptiness
just like that unlucky
bird on air
whose nest, whose house
destroyed by that sudden
gust of wind...

the right to life

'live and let live' and 'thou shall not kill'...these moms had forgotten these, i supposed and a clear conscience i think is what they don't have as well. have your child pls. and leave him or her in any hospital to be adopted by needing couples if you can't support them, or you just plainly do not want them, the better way and the right way...and these pomegranates' seeds are very crunchy to eat :) colorful and delicious, reminds me of x-mas time which is coming soon, again. time is really flying by as most everyone notices. maybe when one is living in a beach, i wonder if time goes by so quick, i doubt it :) life probably is slower to move along with you nothing to do than savor each passing seconds or moments of life filled with magic :> and i want that, laughs.
***
i have this very interesting TV commercial from Boston market. i tried to take it from you tube but it is now unavailable. it is about a twin brother showing off to his other twin brother a chicken commercial jingle he created but it seems like it is a very loud music, laughs, that his twin brother left him in performance of this music with his guitar on stage. tsk! very, very funny. that is the commercial that i want to post here and don't want to lose, laughs. it's still being seen on air on TV land right this minute that's why probably it was taken out at you tube. oh well. sorry you missed it but I'll post it the minute it is there, as if you care here, laughs, for i know you don't :)

two for the price of one?

you have two countries
and you are only one
you have a double bed
but your body is only one
you like pink and purple
and you're torn apart
which way is more brighter
which way is the light

on a mountain in order
to reach the peak
you have to choose
between a two way street
you only have your
instinct and your gut
to tell you which road
leads you to that
promised land

choices come
in our lifetime
choices can make
or break a heart
choices is only
for humans
but destiny always
comes from God :)

so the way to the right choice is of God's. Good luck although we don't need it if we let God choose for us :) this way the best will win :> Obama or McCain, hmn, but whoever will win i win too, laughs, so these two men is two for the price of one, now you got it? hope all of you did, as if i have readers here, laughs, except for my brother and that dear lady from India, thanks to you :)...(^_~)...and there are sooo many ways to interpret a string of words, may i remind you that. but the truth goes to where the action matches with the word, now that's a tip for you, everything outside of it is a lie, a fake, an illusion or a make-believe, so shall i say let's all be smart? a joker is always around us you know, laughs. oh well. but it is the truth :) so guys and gals before you fall into that pit of make believe... stop, pause, think and do your math, first :> no works or actions to support the words is always a lie :)

thanks for your visit, whether intentional or accidental, still I'm appreciative. hope even only a tiny tad i made your day, i made you smile, for that will make my day as well :)

fishing without a pole & the mother of all debates

the pole is broken
into two
too short to touch
the water
down below
the sinker's weight
is not enough
it floated up
even you throw
it down
with all your might

the day is bright
as the sun
is up and high
the fishes are there
as you can see them
with your own naked eye

the challenge is
for you to tame
one swimming kind
that fish down there
but try it only
with your bare
unguided hands

will you catch a fish
that is so quick and smart
can you trick a fish
that has so many
hidden nooks to hide

a broken missing pole
won't help
an unguided hands
won't do the trick
but did you ever think
that a dynamite
might help?

the only thing is
the fish would be
depressed or dead
the only thing is
the fish won't be
that good enough to eat :)

and talking about debates and politics, tomorrow is a big night, so they say. it is widely anticipated that the audience will be far more than the first debate last Friday between the two top men vying for the presidency. the fair consensus based on the interview results given by Sarah Palin as of late is that there is no intelligence or more deep brain power in her head, but this lady was a mayor, a governor and there were debates involved in her quest for these jobs for sure, plus a graduate of journalism and a beauty queen at that. i won't ever look down at her, she is more than qualified to be the V.P. if her team wins but with most of the polls this minute showing that Obama is 4-9 points ahead with a little more than a month to go before we cast our votes, who will know for sure, only the One above :) again, may the lucky, God anointed person wins for America's sakes. i will be watching the debate but i don't think that Sarah Palin will spoil it for me. on the contrary it might turn out to be as entertaining as me reading a joker delivering his lines for a fast laugh, only the difference is that a joker is for illusions and make believes but this debate is for real, involving real lives of real people :)

just finished watching the most anticipated V.P. candidates' debate here at CNN and I'm right, it was as entertaining as i thought it would be. I'm glad that this lady proved her detractors wrong by doing brilliantly in this debate, although i would say that Joe Biden had won it by a slight margin bec. of him being more knowledgeable in issues that was discussed which is expected of him bec. of his longer stay in this arena called politics. that being said, Sarah Palin did stood her grounds and did pretty well and passed the test that was laid before her prior to this occasion. the expectation of her was so low based on her not doing well on these one to one TV interviews previously. she does good on live events compared to these sit ons one to one meetings of question and answer type settings. over all in me watching these debates i came to the conclusion that if a democrat will win the election i win as well bec. it's a win for the working class which i am one of. on the other hand if a republican will win, Michael, my special son and his company will benefit. but the bottom line is...the rich will benefit best in an elephant country and the middle class will do better in donkey land. and both party said NO to gay marriage, in their own lips tonight which is not friendly to in between guys and gals out there...but definitely it was a more interesting night than last Friday, i thought so :) politics really can capture my attention more than flowers, I'm afraid for I'm very fascinated with people whose career is to serve others but with the pork barrels being tied to this economic bail out package that they're trying to pass i am inclined to believe that politicians have hidden agendas of their own, like looking first for their own pockets before the good of their own constituents except of course on election time which makes sense bec. they want their votes at that time, and that is so sad. once elected some will look the other way and that is not right. sweet words and promises will be flying out just to land into that office that they wanted but once in position they forget or they don't deliver on their promises...and it goes on and on in elections here in the U.S. and in my country of birth as well and btw, there are no debates in the Phil. so why is that?

the wheel of life

it's like a circle, at times you're up but at other times you're down...let's just hope that we're more on the upside that on the down side...but we can only hope and we deal with what is thrown in our hands...then ask for help from God or thank Him what ever applies :)

man in a box by alice in chains...

well, the song is protected by copyright...sorry, you can't hear it...
***
inside a box

the four walls
are covered
dark and still
without a sound
without a light
without a glimmer
of hope
without a glimmer
of life

when will it open
when will it last
when can it show
the things inside?

silence and sadness
sorrow and grief
when will happiness
finally creep?

waiting and waiting
until it opens
waiting and hoping
until it rains then
hope for a rainbow
as sunshine reigns...

laughs, gosh! sad poem? i dunno if you can call it a poem, but it is definitely a string of words and that's for sure :) and the answer to the when is when the wheel of life will be UP, hope it won't be a long wait for all of us :>

the sadness in goodbyes

you're gone
but why does my heart
says you're around
you're gone
but why does the wind
still spins around

a memory of a smile
a slab of cold concrete
where green grasses
marked your grave
where my tears fell
where my tears left
a stain

why is life
so timed
so short
why is love had left
me cold
yes dad, November one
this day i hoped
you'd be around
instead it's silence
instead a numbing cold
slab of thick concrete
instead it's just memories
of happiness that left
instead a state of
unending sadness
envelopes my days

a never ending goodbye
comes into my heart
a never ending hole
had torn my heart apart
a never ending river
of tears will flow after that
every time i remember you
everytime November comes...

all saints' day is next month
all saints' day always a reminder of my pain...

and btw, my dad's name is Sebastian, after the saint you know :)
