Healing Hearts in Tragedies
Suddenly came a violent storm
One gray and rainy day was born
Painful holes punched in hearts
Red blood dripping in clots
Gunfire sounded surreal
Hitting students and faculties
Ran amok a psychotic face
Panic reigned in all hallways
Death, destruction and alone
Each one soul starts to mourn
Sick and tired, scared not bored
Tears cascaded from eyes and rolled
Once a tragedy on earth befall
Hard to forget the pain, its toll
Heavy hearts, feet that failed
Questions why it had prevailed
Mysteries move this universe
Unknown force the devil roared
Took memories and bright futures
Wondered why, families broke
Let's look back on Good Friday
Undue suffering filled that day
Jesus died, crucified and nailed
But new hope, new life awaits...
President Bush recounted a story of a dad who passed out in his presence in this senseless tragedy at Virginia Tech. where 33 people died, including the gunman himself. This dad lost his only child, a daughter in this shooting spree by a depressed 23 y/o Korean student, an immigrant here in the U.S. He was on medication for this ailment, but instead of helping him it did failed him and in the process he took other lives as well. So much for medications that don't do their job. The pain and suffering is unbearable for parents who lost their children, that, I can't even dare to think or imagine for I am a parent myself. It will be like the end of the world for me, worst than Armageddon...don't know how these souls can go on after...it will take a tremendous amount of courage and faith in God to overcome this catastrophic challenge in one's life. But with God "nothing is impossible" just hang on, trust and believe...
