Shivering silently this battered body of mine
Clothed in thick layered coat, hat on and gloved hands
On snowy and slippery roads, as chilly winds dance
Keeping me away from that bone chilling ice
Summer, fall, winter then sweet spring
Can't wait to smell the roses and my other flowers again
After droplets of rain, a bright rainbow is born
New dreams new chances new hopes adorn
Old friends, brief acquaintances sadly must go
Change course to that hi-way that's heartfully true
Memories of fake smiles and happiness then
Shelved in that garbage of false and forever bin
Lost tomorrows and could have beens
For the best and life's future sheen
