Amorsolo...the great :)

Fernando Amorsolo (The Greatest Filipino Painter) The Philippine artist Fernando Amorsolo (1892-1972) was a portraitist and painter of rural land scapes. He is best known for his craftsmanship and mastery in the use of light.

i think i know now who really is my favorite painter of all time...amor-love, solo-only :) his classic amorsolo tropical sunlight, i want that in a painting :) he said he hated sad and gloomy paintings and so do i :> and had executed only 1 painting where rain appeared, where is that painting? i'm curious, and had around 10,000 works in his lifetime. he painted till his 70's and died in 1972...he could easily surpassed john singer sargent if his works were preserved somewhere and made into an on line gallery too :) yup, the no.1. is amorsolo, no.2 is john singer sargent...and that's it! art... it is truly mesmerizing when you're looking at positive things and depressing when you're served with doomed art displays. i always wanted to see the light and the truth in all things including art. life is short, i try to decorate it with joy so that the ride is pleasant and light :) but that's just me. yours might be different and i respect that although i need to turn the page for a brighter spot whenever i see the dark. you can't blame me, for me don't want to be tortured, laughs. oh well.

John & Jackie for the last time, Nov. 22, 1963...

she was in lovely pink on that fateful day. new video unvailed on president's day, yesterday, 2-15 taken shortly before the dallas assassination of the democratic pres. john kennedy, november 22, 1963, age 46, the 35th U.S. president. hmn, same date as i brought home my first car ever. a chevrolet, GM brand, a white camaro. a sports car...my co-worker was with me and it was her b-day :) that car served me well for years and years. i loved it!

a really sad day that was...i can feel it even today...although i love the included plane footages in this video for i am a plane lover. when i was young i dreamt of being a flight sterwardess but it wasn't meant to be. short and poor was the reason, though now i would rather be a nurse which i am. caring for the sick is no match for that flying high job...planes, planes, planes...lots of them here in the U.S. 6,400 planes in the sky on peak hours. huge america :> flickering lights of them ready to land flying low over our house. i see them on their descent. a nice view in my window, every evening while i do some internet traveling, laughs.

Missing Memories...

Gutted images of gone-by past,
Gently rummaging this brain-washed life,
Caring and carefree little butterflies,
Flying freely to depart at last.

Songs of sweetness and of sorrow,
Lyrical, magical, whimsical words aglow
Candle burning, like a lantern's light,
Flickering, shimmering softly... but not enough.

Gone are the days, those playful past,
Barren and useless mementos that adorn the eyes,
Farewell dear my fading delight,
Thanks a lot for being a part of my life...

to all our loveones who were lost bec. of typhoons, earthquakes, accidents, sickness, or natural causes...permanent goodbye is sad although we would hope to see them again at the second coming of God or in His house in heaven...the art is by the great master, Picasso :)

life is here, life is but once. let's mark every seconds and celebrate. give thanks and always try to love and to laugh. always try to smile even if it is hard :) there is one coming tomorrow every passing dawn. we just hope that the tomorrows, a lot of them will be in line for us. but the sad truth is, young or old...we just can't tell. we just can't be sure. for tomorrows are not ours to count, not yet not unless they are now there for us...so let's paint the town red, pink and green, who knows it could be our last...life is not promised forever as tomorrow is...let's enjoy the ride :>

the art of repetitive desires

the seconds sounded as a hurried heart beat. i hear the splash of the waves pounding at the soft sand. soon the sun will rise again one more time. the song will play again until the last beat, until the last verse without fail, without mistake. the way is just another turn of the same road, of the same trees lining up silently as you march one more time. on sunny days the leaves are there to greet you, to dance for you. but on cold days the leaves are gone. only macabre sticks sadly pointing at the sky. longing for their covers. the birds are gone. their house is just a sleeping dead branches that spring could only change its make up and that only summer could make it warm, one more time. it is a ritual of nature. the art that are just there created by someone who owns the sky...it's free, it's ever changing as if it wanted to please me everyday as i sleep and wake up. another view another vista, another time, another panorama...life is great!

saving the brown pelicans, san diego california

the swan birds look alike are lucky for sea world cared...click the video gallery to see these beautiful birds...okay, this made me think of giving second chances :) i love the birds and the bees and the flowers and the trees, hmn, that's a song line somewhere...but it does apply to me :>

i am sad...

so young dreaming for that Olympic glory... although he tried ...i could not even dare to imagine the grief and the deep, deep sadness that his parents must have to endure...

we are the world...indeed...

let the sunshine in :)

so cats can play outside...the draw back of winter is that the warmth of the sun is on other places. the changing season is nice as long as the cold winter is not that long :) we did not have much snow this year. hope it will stay that way but it is very cold at times. i'll take that cold though than black ice, piles of snow and ice storm where driving is hard...although i'd prefer if it'll be spring soon :) just like it's valentines everyday, laughs. sunny days are glorious days for me at least :> think of flowers and gardening, the stress busters...come on fast summer!

inspiring olympics

soon your light will glow again. our TV sets will be broadcasting the triumphs and the failures, the guts and the glories, the laurels and the loses of athletes all over the world...Michael my special son through his school participates in their own version of the Olympics. special people without any wants of their own were brought into this world by God... maybe to look into ourselves on how lucky we are that we are born in perfect shape, in perfect form while countless others are not. Michael taught me precious lessons in life. living and seeing him every day smile, laugh and move on to live in his own unique ways is just inspiring to me. it gives worth into my life, it gives me a purpose to live :) it makes me humble and thankful that i have him and was born here in the U.S. where they are treated like everyone else. they're given education, will be housed and taken care of in life if me and my husband and J.C. could not do that anymore...i love my second country for these and for making me think more beyond what could i ever think of if i lived somewhere else. my mind is always inundated with life's lessons that are priceless. this every single day that i wake up and every single night that i sleep. I'm blessed :)

the winter Olympics will start today in Vancouver, Canada...can't wait to post the new version of the "we are the world" by singers that will try to encourage donations for Haiti's quake victims. i will be at work so i can't see the opening ceremonies but maybe a few snippets that i can glance in our lounge's TV on break :) but i will you tube that song soon as it gets available :)

fixing the heart...our former president Bill Clinton had that done literally just recently and is expected to recover fully :) in time for valentines day? some say that he is more deserving than our current president in having that honor to have a Nobel peace prize in his belt with all the achievements that he had in helping loads of humans around the world while pres. Barack Obama is still in the works. although the barriers that our current president had passed through is short of a miracle feat, the first black president here. who could ever imagine that happening then but it did...

'McHeroes' saved family of 6 from blaze...

the wrong turn at the right time. these mcdonald employees saved family from their burning home. interviewed and hailed as heroes today on television :) big kudos!

since it's valentines...

since it's valentines
i'll stop and park the car
i'll pause and gaze at the stars
i'll look above and read the sky
it's bright since you've
made it light a thousand times
it's golden since you've
colored it right all the time
it glows since you've
never made it dull.
love lives for you've
never ever let love die...

happy heart's day to all...soon :) love makes the world go round and round like a merry go round, sort of. let's enjoy the ride, old lovers, young lovers alike...(^_~)...

LOVE is a kind heart :) ...this is my own pink heart-shaped plant and my rose shot from the shrine of the little flower church, one great summer :) love is a kind heart. forgive but do not forget the lessons learned... for love should never ever make you cry...

the wind takes its toll

the wind is slow at times but fierce
the sound is silent but intent filled
the heavens' eyes where it came free
is watching on how it works its wings

sometimes it let the branches sway
sometimes it let the branches break
the wind just blows without a care
the wind will take whatever on its way

the wind moves on and on
the power of it is so strong
the hat is gone the roof is blown
the house is wide open, the head exposed...

the wind, the air we breath is both deadly and life giving...

thanks dear artists for your wonderful art :)

where rest is bliss...

even an insect needs a time off. this must be photo shopped but i like it :) ...pink needs sleep and wants solitude at this cozy place where nature is painted at its best...in greens and in blooming flowery pinks. does your art creates this natural ambiance where rest can be attained? and yes, this grasshopper won't ever be second best for pink reigns or love not hate reigns in this place. perfectionist pink? wrong...we are not perfect, no one is. just God alone has that title. let's not forget it :) ...although in love everyone wants an almost perfect harmony with their beloved, right? bec. that translates to a happy valentines day...(^_~)...as simple as that :) and you can't have that in the state of the tiger...you just can't...with painted paramours in golf balls? who knows if there could be more than 14 lovey doveys out there...yup 14 and counting, laughs. elin woods please wake up, the tiger wants too many valentines, laughs. oh well.

the joy of life...art by henri matisse...

it is not who you are in material terms but the character that you have inside that defines you as a person. it is not the car that you drive, the food that you eat, the clothes that you wear that make you shine. it is not the outside beauty that you possess, your straight or curly hair or the whiteness of your skin. it is the beauty of the inner you that will be important when people will remember or talk about you at the end. for beauty fades but character reigns in people's mind as days turn to years.

it is not the language that you spoke, the written novels that you penned but the meaning of it that will grab people's attention. it is not the master pieces that you've displayed as an artist but the message that they entailed. did they made them think and inspired them to rise and to dream of better things. did it made them to create and alleviate sadness and suffering around the world. did it made them smile so true that it created change in a positive sense.

it is not the way you sing a song, deliver a speech or the way you danced. it is not the way you played the piano, the pipe or the drum. it is not the angelic voice the well rehearsed lines. it is on how the audience viewed you, is it positive and is it divine.

did it moved them and inspired them to be a better person and acted as one. did it made them a happy person, laughed and smiled. did they or not... that is the measure on how you've lived and loved. life's lessons learned, life's lessons best that only a human heart can give to us...
***
life is a lesson in itself. it is timed and short. so let's start to savor its beauty and concentrate on the positive side :) the uplifting and the inspiring. the rosy and the bright side. for time is just not there to wallow into sadness and despair. to deal in darkness and doom. rise when we fall. dream of better things at every coming of a new dawn, always...until the end...

JOY by Giovanni is the music on air :>

"i love what you do for me" toyota...

yes, that was the slogan in a commercial for the number one car manufacturer at this moment, Toyota, surpassing GM (general motors), Ford, Chrysler and Honda. but with the huge headache that Toyota has now with their cars that are being recalled, will they still take the top spot? only time will tell. and the irony of that slogan now if you think about it...

this car looked exactly like my first car ever, a white Camaro, bought 11-22-'81...a GM brand. i donated it to a veteran's charity a few years back. it could have been easily a classic car by now being driven in that yearly Woodward Dream Cruise but keeping and maintaining an old car is an expensive hobby that i can't afford. so hard as it may seemed then i had to let it go... i am sad just remembering that car now. it was a sports car that drove very smoothly but not good on snow days for it is not a front wheel drive. you'll be slipping and sliding which requires prudent driving. it is more better driven in sunny California or Florida. but i had it for the longest and i loved it so much. i should have dig those pics this past vacation for i know I've sent pics of it then for my family to see in the philippines. maybe next vacation...

cadena de amor, heart's flower :)

and we have them a lot in the province. just beside the road. lovely vines loaded with tiny pink heart-shaped blooms. glorious! the love chain flowers...
***
love is like a chain...
***
love is like a plant. it will grow with moisture and mist. love is like a sick child. it will be healthy if it is caressed and hugged. love is like the full moon. it is whole when filled with light. love is like a cat. it will live if you won't abandon and leave it out there in the elements to toast, to chill and to drown. it is like you put a knife in its heart. love will die for sure in these horrible circumstances. now you wonder why love had left... for you killed it yourself. the chain of love is broken. the chain had collapsed...sad isn't it? love for sure needs love to nurture and to grow. this is definitely true...ask cupid, laughs. this if he is not busy shooting his arrows :>

wow, there is this buzz that the tiger is ready to get out from a sex rehab facility with his wife going to fetch him there. that meant that she is ready to forgive the tiger, yes, him the one with the bad stripes, laughs, who has a multi-million yatch called "privacy" and is a golf phenom er genius. it's all for the kids, one speculation, but maybe for the moolah too :)...but come on, with all the women that he had, 14 0r 16 of them who came forward each of them claiming that he told them that he loved them all and he's not happy at home. he must be a very good liar, pretender and can be an award winning actor...for these women believed him. this man is sick and i don't think that a short amount of time in a sex rehab facility will cure him. it is psychological and it won't go away. well, kudos to his wife for giving him the second chance but that is a no no in my book :) for i could be fooled only once. i forgive but i never forget, it is just me. i know i am hard but I've been married forever so it is working, laughs. even friends i do forgive but i don't forget. once burned it is burned and nothing more and that's just me. sad, but i am not going to be used, abused or taken advantage of again. it's just self preservation. once dead it is forever dead and that's it...goodbye and good luck, salamat na lang sa iyo :) better that way...
***
but to a more sadder note...even though the economy has recovered and was saved from going into depression by the Obama administration, where wall street, the banks and the insurance company were bailed out by printing lots of dollars, or moolah. only the rich had recovered though. main street or the vast majority of the American people are out of job to the tune of 8 million for 2 years now. what can you expect, 40,000 U.S. manufacturing jobs were shipped out of the country to places where labor is cheap and no unions and they don't have to pay benefits like health insurance, so there. and plus this government also gave them tax breaks aka tax incentives to move their companies overseas. i dunno that is just unbelievable why these politicians have voted for these and allowed it to happen. since the health care bill is seemingly dying into a slow death, jobs, jobs, jobs...the creation of jobs is what the Obama people are focusing right now. but poor Mr. Obama...do you think that the rich republicans who owns these companies which still are here will help him in his push to create jobs for the hurting middle class? that is a big NO, for of course it is politics 101...the failure of your opponent will be your win...as simple as that. even an 8th grade school child knows how to figure that out...so jobs creation? if ever be our president need not to rely on the help of the republicans...he need to find a way to do that with the help of his own party or else he'll be just only a one term president which will be kinda sad for he is for the working average American which i belong. and now with the more conservative justices who voted allowing the unlimited amount of campaign money donations to be given to their candidate of choice, politics will be influenced by the haves who will lobby hard for their causes. poor middle class again, no money, no honey, but not the lovey dovey kind ha. for money talks... and money can turn votes...to face your nose, very sad. truly and really...

going the japanese way :) foodwise...

the dream of living in Japan someday for J.C. and Ronnie. but for now just to savor their food, is what they can get up close to here in our state :) japanese cuisine reigns supreme with regards to healthy eating habits, this i believe :> and their noodle soups are soo tasteful :) tsk, sorry, i should have taken some shots before eating. but my mind said, food first before the camera, laughs. oh well.
