health and politics

there are almost 48 million americans that are uninsured in this country, a place which have the highest quality health care one can get anywhere in the world and being in the fore front of this sector i agree. we deliver the best health care here in the U.S. be that in organ transplants, child and adult care, or any aspects of health maintenance, any one sick person can encounter. the hospitals here are first rate and all customized to meet any given call of a sick body at any time. sanjay gupta, my next husband in my next life, just a joke of course, and btw, he lives not far away from us, so if i'm a stalker, i won't have a hard time but sadly i'm not, laughs. but anyway, this celebrated, admired and also stalked M.D. but not by me to make this clear, laughs, was explaining this process for he also works at CNN. you can google him for more info, or details about him if you want. a very popular, nice, decent and a very accomplished guy. i know you'll like him too like i do, laughs. no kidding :)

but anyway, to meet the pressing problem of the uninsured here tax rebates are on the table under the republican banner so one can buy their own health insurance, and that is a first. when hillary fought for universal health care coverage for all americans under her husband's administration, the lobbyist from the big pharmaceutical companies fought so hard to defeat it and they won. it will be just like canada that everything will be regulated, price of meds, including M.D.'s salary which will be lesser so the prospect of lesser profits to their pockets scared these giant drug companies. it's just sad, and a mess. the best country on earth can't even deliver health benefits to all its citizenry and that is incomprehensible and unacceptable. hope that this time around something concrete will come out to meet this big problem here. and my favorite and most admired M.D. was out on air today explaining this to everyone, but sanjay we got it. money moves things and money also prevents things like this one to happen...so good luck!

warm affection...

is what a tulip means, this according to the language of flowers :) very fitting to give to our loved ones on valentine's day, don't you think? your lady love will be thrilled. this if she is a flower freak just like me, laughs. i always see one in our house, laughs...images are again taken from the web. thanks to these artists who unselfishly share their art to the public, i love them :)
***
happy coming valentine's day everyone! and thanks for your visit :) with these tulips i'm sending my warm affection to all of you :> and of course to Tito, my husband as well. you're always there for us and that meant a lot...we love you :)

gender class of in between & etc...

does it matter in life? at the very beginning of time our God created a man and a woman alone and nothing in between so they argue. by that there's no place in our society of these lesbians and gays. but isn't it that God loves "all" of us, sinners or saints alike and by that there shouldn't be any discrimination to these individuals. i see it that it's not solely their choice to be in this kind of predicament. so we need understanding and acceptance in our hearts for them. i did it for i have a dear love one in this kind of situation and my love and respect did not ever change..."i love you just the way you are" for you :) ...and for all you guys and gals in this category as well. it's not me to pass judgement on your life for i did not create you and i did not bring you into this world, God did. we are all equals and thereby needed to be treated equally as well...we are all sisters and brothers in Christ, so we all need to love, accept and respect each other...taking gender aside, or out of the equation. for again, love transcends anything, this if our love is really true to that individual :)

this is out of topic, but in regards to my movie preferences, not that anyone cares or would want to know :) is i go to the movies to be entertained. so happy endings are a must for me. i don't want to pay for my being miserable, sad and crying for my reason to be there will be in the trash in the first place, defeated to make it very clear, laughs. so even how brilliant a movie is directed, written or acted upon i shun unhappy movies. that's why i go for the shallower ones, like the likes of Jackie Chan and James Bond, laughs. for I'd like to be still laughing and smiling after a movie, not otherwise :) this way i was entertained and ready to go back to my sometimes in between kinda, sorta way of life in this planet earth, laughs. oh well. and i don't want to see my life again in these movies that i go to, so i go for the not a mirror of my life flicks, really!

last night our president gave his last state of the union address. what a pathetic way to end your term in office. so much death bec. of your war that you lied for the reason of it, a million of your people have been driven out of their homes for they lost their jobs that went to China, businesses owned by your rich cronies, the ones that bank rolled your campaign to be in that office and you gave millions and millions of tax breaks to them as well, the rich, like you, yourself, turning a big huge budget deficit of this country from a surplus which Bill Clinton left for you. that is a shame! i did not finish it for i was unhappy. i just can't waste my time looking and listening to all the lies and failures of this president, i just can't. if you're a president you need to care and lead your people to prosperity not poverty and not siding and giving all that government money back to the rich which they don't need that much anyway for they are that na. greedy that's what they are and it started with him and his vice president who benefited with those money laden government contracts in Iraq! I'm sorry, but the truth hurts, same as what the working middle class here in America is suffering now.

the flower of "forever"

the EVERLASTING :) in pinks and yellows...a 'sunflower' look alike :> being dried and being sold here...the Feb. bloom, for wouldn't you want your love to be forever? laughs. just a joke of course, for nothing is forever except God :) thanks to the owners of these shots, they made me smile...so even pics are meant to be shared and enjoyed by anyone, just sad that i can't say my thanks to them personally...for they were anonymously posted...

there's always the sun

when the world
comes tumbling down
there's always the sun

when the end
of your life is done
there's always the sun

when all is bare and dark
and just emptiness abounds
there's always the sun

when all of your love ones
had abandoned you
there's always the sun

you can count on
to dry your tears away
you can count on to
cheer you on your way

just like the
almighty God above
just turn your
head upward
and your heart's
sorrow and strife
will melt away
in a flash

with its powerful
rays of love
with its strength
to warm our hearts
forever without end
it goes down but
it will always come back
rising in the east for us

until our last days on earth
until our last breath comes...

broken interludes

what would become
of a melody that does
not have refrains

what would become
of a journey that don't
have sights in between

what would become
of a freeway that does
not have a bridge to pass

what would become
of a man when no boyhood
to learn and to gripe

it will be just like rain
that came pouring down
without a pause without a stop

it will be just like a song
with just one tone
with that annoying note

for a rain without rainbows
is not as bright
and a life without a spice
is just dull and a drag

and the earth without the sun
is just as bad
for a person is only riding
in darkness until he or she dies...

painted hydrangeas

the flower...

of a million delights :> a happy, sunny and a very lovely bloom. i think so :) just my eyes can't have enough of it, laughs. oh well. this flower adorns the houses of the rich, maybe bec. it matches the count or the amount of their monetary possessions, hmn...maybe so...but even i'm not rich i'd like to have it in my phil. garden in the future :> yes, that countless blooms make my face be filled with awesome wonder and disbelief, laughs. true!

the meaning of love

love is a sparrow
that flies in the sky
love is a dove
flying up above

love is the friends
that hang around
love is your family
that loves you so much

love is a flower
that blooms constantly
love goes on forever
like an endless sea

love is a gift
that is given so free
without any string attached
given to thee

love is the sacrifice
that you bear in your heart
just for the happiness
of the one you loved :)

for three minutes i had defined love the way i see it...i wonder how many in this world will agree with me, laughs. yup, this is love according to my mind :) a poem? for the upcoming love month :>

but my best DEFINITION of love that i like most is this:

love is like the SUN
that knows no bounds
it FOREVER shines
and gives you warmth
till the end of time...

wow! :> the music here is shuffling now, one tune at a time :) i wonder, can you shuffle love as well? *} that is the million dollar question, laughs. and the answer is, yes, but, just like music, it should only be one love at a time, or else you gonna be dubbed as a two timing Don Juan, or a restless and wandering Casanova, laughs. and that is not a good reputation of you, for you gonna be there with the likes of former presidents *} not that good if you ask me, laughs. so, one is for one, that is the one that you would want to be one, alright? laughs. and pls. keep it that way till the end of time, okidoki? this way your lady love will be on top of the clouds, for always...(^_~)... :)

and the true love that all of us can easily find and always be there for us is only the love of Jesus :) for relationships whatever kind have the tendency to break up, not always and not for some, but it happens as a fact, so it would be better for us not to ever forget Him...on air is my favorite music at church :)

more hydrangeas :)

the bloom that keeps on going and going :>

the million dollar flower :)

the multi-petalled and multi-colored hydrangea :> for your lady loves this coming valentines' day, guys :) this if you think just like my husband. yes, the flower of his choice, not in pink, NO, but in blue and i did not like it! for I'm not a fan of the blue color. but hey, the polite? person that i am, i said my thanks, of course. oh well...images "borrowed" from the web :)
***
in pink, this is the flower that I'll give to my senorita, given the chance. it matches with the tune too and that so much love and care that she had for the poor and the under-privileged persons like me and my million thanks to her for her kind heart and generosity as well. this flower expresses it all. nice!
***
HAPPY VALENTINES' DAY in advance to everyone :> enjoy this day of love with your love ones...your lady love, or whom ever you want :)
***
and always THANKS for your VISIT :)

goodbye is...

goodbye is
closing the door
to the bad and those
unwanted experiences
of the past
goodbye is signing off
and closing your eyes
to the reality
that you never
thought to be the
truth, never was

but face with
this sad thing
it opened your eyes
no choice but to
say your goodbye
to it, at last
now you know
that those things
that were dancing
in your brain
they were untrue
they're just make believes
and only parts of
your silly head

re-group accept
that's what was
in your brain
are just but fakes
lies and unrealies
it's good that
God showed
you the way
to the truth of
your situation
take note, take heed
and gladly change

don't cry, isn't that
you've thought once
that you're the best
then prove it now
that you can handle it
love btw is not there
it's only in your imaginings
and again those were
just in your hard
headed brain

at least God
showed you the way
the truth to your
pitiful situation
face it bravely
again it's your fault
you believed yourself
to all these imaginings
that were dancing
in your hot and silly head
and the way to go
is to accept
that they're false
and all are just
but now your
sad realities

and glad that you
woke up at last
yes, it took a nasty bump
but you never believed it
never, not until now
now that you're faced
with the sad tune
the sad reality
of this part of your life

go on and move on
open your eyes
and go search
once more
who knows if
tomorrow will
bring you the one
the true love
the true care
that you've thought
was on that night, once...

isn't it just sad that some of us thought that we found the one at last, but in reality it's not. this must be a jolting kind of experience, laughs. oh well. but what can we do, cupid is naughty sometimes you know, laughs. oh well, again. and oops never ever forget to smile, it would help you know, my dad told me so...(^_~)...

life is a celebration :)

which this powder puff flower always reminds me of :) you might disagree but that is life to me. a celebration of love during happy times and of sacrifice during sad and trying times...my blog music will be shuffling its tunes, finally :> so let the music takes center stage...music after all is an art, an expression of what life is all about... only incorporated and embedded in sometimes sad and soulful melodic tunes but lively and loud on some occasions as well. a mixture of hooplas in rants, a mixture of serenades of love and lust, of hates and pains. you name it, you'll get these in music. just listen and observe :> and let your soul and spirit be mesmerized, captured and imprisoned, what a description. my mind really is on over drive, laughs. oh well. but to put it simply music is just magic unsurpassed!

and I'd like to think that the few who visits me will have a little blast with the tunes here, laughs. aside from their search of poems. yes, truly there are souls all over the world who loves poetry. that is my experience in this blog. although i can't deliver good poems, i try and you know, it's just like the word "almost" as I've said which is synonymous to failure, laughs. but hey, i failed but i tried and i gave my best and that's all that matters to me at the end of the day :)

would it matter?

this week, Chuck Norris belittled John McCain bec. of his age of 72. he said that Mike Huckabee, age 53 is of sound mind and body so he's more fit to serve as our president. John McCain took it in stride and joked that he'd like to call his mother, age 95 to come and wash his mouth, of Norris, that is, laughs. oh well. discrimination in age, race, gender and religion, you name it, are not left out of the equation in the search for the next commander in chief of this country, but would it matter? more likely John Mccain will be the republican flag bearer and Hillary will be ours, the democrat. and i'm really not very optimistic for a war hero with his sacrifice, integity and always voted with his concience might be our next president and for the first time i really won't mind. even though i won't vote for him i think, at age 72, this man is ready and deserving to hold that highest office of the land. and i saw his mom last year. she's still lucid, healthy and a very lovely lady. wow, what a woman. i'm envious which i seldom am of anything :> and besides he visited J.C.'s catholic school then when he was in a race with George Bush for the nomination but lost. hmn, i wonder where were those pics now :) but really, a man of honor, a former POW and with humor is not bad at all to run this country, given the chance, as the old late former pres. Ronald Reagan did...once...and i like him :)

so would age matter in politics or any other aspects in our lives? i know in the Phil. there is age discrimination in finding jobs, just flip the ad section. there is a quote in age bracket as to what they would like to hire but not in the U.S. for such employer will be sued big time. and really age is just one aspect or just one part of the whole pie or the picture. for there are older people that thinks like younger kids and vice versa, laughs. oh well. after all they say that age is just but a number. how true, laughs. and you better believe that for all including you will grow old someday and no escaping to this reality of life in this planet earth...so be kind to the old, be very understanding to the aged, for you'll be in their shoes someday, not unless you'll die young...

a very solemn hymn :)

LORD, WHEN YOU CAME TO THE SEASHORE / PESCADOR DES HOMBRES
by Cesareo Gabarain

1. Lord, when you came to the seashore you weren't seeking the wise or the wealthy, but only asking that I might follow.

REFRAIN (English): O Lord, in my eyes you were gazing, Kindly smiling, my name you were saying; All I treasured, I have left on the sand there; Close to you, I will find other seas.

REFRAIN (Spanish): Señor me has mirado a los ojos, sonriendo has dicho mi nombre, en la rena he dejado mi barca, junto a ti buscaré otro mar.

2. Lord, you knew what my boat carried: neither money nor weapons for fighting, but nets for fishing my daily labor. (REFRAIN)

3. Lord, have you need of my labor, hands for service, a heart made for loving, my arms for lifting the poor and broken? (REFRAIN)

4. Lord, send me where you would have me, to a village, or heart of the city; I will remember that you are with me. (REFRAIN)

really, a very heart touching tune...simply a soul searching melody, for me at least...thanks to this talented guy :) okay, the month of hearts is slowly edging upon us. we're very lucky for we are loved, in every way, first by God and of course from the love of our lives, and from our fellow humans too, this is hopefully. so let's send kisses to them and of course that flower to the one that loves us, as a token of our thanks. i do it, and i'm sure most of us only in so many different ways...in the open and in secrets and you better believe that, laughs. oh well...it's okay, express it, like the way you like it or feel it...(^_~)...

"I have a dream"...by Martin Luther King Jr.

in this case, yes, a dream to be the next president of this country, the USA. three very talented, very efficient, qualified and very popular individuals on the democratic side are vying for and working hard towards this goal. yup, I'm sure it's their ardent dream to lead this country which by the way had deeply plunged from a surplus economy under Bill Clinton to a very remarkable downward spiral to that nasty pit of debt and deficit by this current administration and now almost in the verge of recession according to certain economic indicators of the credit crunch, the mortgage melt down and the rise in the numbers of unemployed Americans that even wall street is negatively reacting now a days. and what do you know, my family will be getting a check in the mail by June? with the tune of 1,600 USD from the government to veer off this fear of recession with the thought that we will be spending it to boost this economy. although thanks really for the cash Mr. Bush. it's not that I'm not appreciative but if you did not give big tax breaks which mostly went to the rich this won't be probably not happening. if we did not go to war then maybe billions could have been diverted to help your countrymen in a million ways. but any how going back to dreams which Martin Luther King Jr. was very familiar with that brought results to the African Americans of this country although discrimination still exists, still it went a long way to change the way that black people here were treated. only in this country where you can see that dreams might become realities. a woman and a black person might become president, the possibility is there now to be fulfilled if it's in their fate to be one, if it's meant to be...and not only them, all of us can do that too...we can dream, it does not hurt. in fact it will be a catalyst or the start of a journey to a better future for us. i think so and i hope you do to as well :)

from my friend Erlinda...today :)

http://www.frontiernet.net/~jimdandy/specials/blessed.htm

just want to share this beautiful message i got from her today...it made me smile and very thankful...it made me appreciate more, all the things that i have...these God given blessings in my life...it only takes a message like this from a caring friend for me to pause and see those people that really care, the ones that take their time to send a message, the ones that have you in their thoughts and mean it :)

thanks friend, you are truly one in the true sense of that word. i'm blessed :> and i do pray for your full recovery, lighting a candle for you at Shrine, same as what thetet does for me at Baclaran. thanks hon as well :) i love those St. Therese images. perfect!

time to turn the page

she reads you with
all her might
attention to the tilt
wide spanned
riding with the clouds
all smiles
but it turned out
it's all sadness
in disguise

books that come your way
don't judge them until
you read them
all the way
for all you know
the title outside
are just the front
of no substance
of no meaning
and of no life inside

now you've learned
your lessons well
hope for smiles
and don't you
drown again
whose fault is it
it's you to blame
you believed it all
those lies and all that
sweet nothings... :)

laughs. what a sad story, but somewhat funny. but it's time to see the light. to look for a book that's worth the time...(^_~)...yes, mesmerized with similes and metaphors...wake up now, you wouldn't want to be caught dreamily floating asleep in those clouds, or would you? :)

cluster of pinks

cadena de amor, chain of love. but think of it as, even if they're gone and the chain was broken they're still loved and remembered. just sad that goodbyes exist and it makes our hearts ache and bleed...

this pink love flowers' pic was taken at my brod's place in the province one fun vacation time :)

"pescador des hombres"or "lord when you came to the seashore" or "fisher of men" a favorite church hymn playing on the air right now in piano. delightful in anyways, English or Spanish. a very inspiring song that illuminates your way to the path of spirituality. i like and love it a lot...

"The Part Where You Let Go" by Hem

When the rain, breaks the road
are you holding on, are you holding
on to your last good day
when the stone breaks the wheel
are you holding, are you holding on
till the stone rolls away

And I don't know
Is this the part where you let go
and tumbling out of a window
is this the part where you find out
i'm there for you

When the sun leaves the field
are you holding on, are you holding on
to the last sweet light
when the flame leaves your eyes
i still see you there, i still see you there
on your darkest night

And i don't know
is this the part where you let go
in sinking under a shadow
is this the part where you find out
i'm there for you now

As your hands breaking free
i am holding on, i am holding on
as you held on to me

And i don't know
is this the part where we let go
tumbling out of a window
is this the part you're there for me

And i don't know
is this the part where you let go
in sinking under a shadow
is this the part where you find out
i'm there for you
you find out i'm there for you
you find out i'm there for you

the Saint...

where your name was taken, dad... same as always for years and years now on this day, i put some pink flowers on this saint's feet for you and for him on both of your special day...even i can't do it on your grave this proxy place is just as good as well. pics taken at Shrine today :)

countless of times...

you were there for me dad...a song for you today, on your birthday. i can cry, my heart aches with your absence, my tears always roll down my cheeks as i remember your kind smiles as i remember your sacrifices, even they weren't enough, even they weren't the ones that sent me to where i am, God did, with His miraculous ways. your dreams for me did materialized, but only without you reaping the rewards for you've left us too soon, you died so soon and that broke my heart permanently. as i cry and sob in writing these, the pain is just boring into my soul. why did you ever leave so early, what is the reason. like why does so many painful things happen in our lives, a test of our faith in God, maybe...but the suffering is just tremendous, like a boulder be falling and crashing on me, like a flood that rushes in that i can't swim over it, like a cancer or a sickness that knows no cure. yet, i try to smile on all of these, i try as you always had told me to and had recommended then. after that, the pain is not as much, and that joy will slowly creep and envelops my sad heart. that i need to accept things that i couldn't change, that i need to look up and move forward even how bruised i am in this life. yes, that is the way, the cure, for after all in spite of the pain and the sadness, there were points of happiness as well and i have no reason to complain for I'm so blessed and the grace bestowed on me is too much already, so no reason to feel this way, but sometimes i do and i can't help it... where ever you are dad, i wish you peace, i wish you love...today..."the part where you let go" by hem, a serenade for you, for i can't be on your grave for a visit, i can't be there to put flowers...but i have a gift for you and with this i know that you'll be happy and you'll be proud of me. cheers dad! where ever you maybe :) 80 is a good number even if you're not here. yes, 80 is what you are, today...

tested and true

standing tall
after the storm
tested and battered
by the hell that fall
armed in truth
since time that rolled
the one the only one
that made victory
here to be savored

battles in life
make us strong
inner character of ours
will shine and will doom
all false pretenses
that hinder our lives
all make-believes
will bid their goodbyes

tested and true
here you are
with smiles for the win
and laughter that'll last
for you're very true
at the very start
never you played
never you lied

we're just a breeze
for a fleeting moment
we're just a lint
in a shining fabric
it's up to us
to work hard and fight
to stay forever and to be
remembered to last

by those people
that truly cared for us
by these kind souls
that were there
always for us....

what a crooked poem? laughs. but that's all i can come up for now so my apologies to you :)

the next song which is now...will be...

"David Dondero's "Simple Love"... Fresh off being named one of the top ten songwriters alive by NPR in 2006 sharing the list with the likes of Bob Dylan and Tom Waits and being constantly name checked by his label boss Conor Oberst as his main influence, David Dondero dropped Simple Love, a decidedly more upbeat affair than the Bukowski-esque downer SOUTH OF THE SOUTH. The songs have more fleshed out instrumentation, light rootsy arrangements, and bright tempos, which sometimes belie the dark nature of the lyrics, where battles between fleeting pleasures and lasting pains, minor victories and disastrous failures are perpetual. Another classic by a man who seemingly spits out great songs at will."

this is just a copied description of his music, i like it. the love month of Feb. is near you can tell :)

and the best definition of love that i like is, "love is a journey that knows no end" from that diamond is forever commercial :) yes indeed, love if it's true knows no end, except death of course, but some lovers love their loves even if they're dead so this argument of mine is mute :)

and i like love to be simple, funny, and uncomplicated, really. and this is a nice tune for your lady love don't you think? :> to all, no, to some of you guys out there, laughs. but really this music here is truly melodious? or rather melancholy. but isn't it these kinds of music are the ones that bores deep into our hearts and demand our ears to pay attention more? i think so.

ah music, mesmerizing music at that... is a part of my sometimes pathetic life, i must admit *}

yup, this guy is hopelessly romantic, laughs. oh well. although most of his songs is just not good, sorry, but this one is okay :) like that mcgee song of janis joplin. yes, one song, yes, one tune sometimes is all it takes for one talent to get noticed, except, elvis and michael jackson of course. the kings of rock 'n' roll and pop respectively :>

when you dream...

when i was younger and didn't know any better, my choice of a career was to be a stewardess, a flight attendant. i was reminded of it today when i saw Hillary, my idol. but that description is only for younger kids's words to use really so maybe the better term for me is, my hero, right? laughs, when i saw her on t.v. today in a plane taking the microphone and doing the job of a flight attendant in her "hillforce one" campaign plane. now in retrospect, to be a nurse is a lot better, laughs, for me at least, for traveling always in a plane up in the air is not one of the things that really i would want to do now, laughs. plane crashes though rare are just a reality and it happens, so it's not good for me to deal with that reality everyday while I'm earning my dough, although i was trained to serve since i was a teenager by my stepping stone job :) now Angelo Castro said today at Phil. News that what's important in life is where you're going not where you came from. hmn, really? then I'd like to travel more to reach that extra mile, to be a much more use of a person in this world. not like the McCain's of course, at 70, this couple is there trying to be the two most important people next to the Bushes, here in the U.S. although i like John McCain for he's a war hero, i hate that he's a republican although his votes leaned more like he's a democrat in the senate. i really admire when older people are still there and being very very relevant in society and i salute them, plus they look very very good, no kidding. i wonder did botox play a rule? just kidding. hey, do whatever it takes to look good, as long as it's not to the excess, in moderation, of course. for i will do that myself when the time comes :) here in the U.S. in one my hospital's sisters, for there are 7-8 of them, to look good is just a few minutes drive away, laughs. but not right now, not yet, laughs. oh well. and yeah, my dream is to be a much more useful citizen in this world. yes more, meaning to be able to help other people in need apart from what I'm doing now :)

but going back to my dream of being a flight attendant then, it's a glamorous job alright, but in my mind i just can't help to consider it as one dangerous job, and I'm not really fond of flying that much, laughs, i now realized that. so thank God I'm not one. although i salute them for their bravery. imagine putting your life on the line with a well equipped and invented machine that can fly, made of steel. but anything could happen suddenly you know, like a breakdown in its components and parts which is not in your hands to be able to fix and that will be very scary to me, the thought of it, really. what more if I'm there everyday in the thick of things earning my living in the process? this one is not for me, i came to that conclusion and you can have it, laughs. oh well. and besides that job won't want me anyhow, laughs, for I'm only 5'1, too small :) so that's that. and don't get me wrong for i like flying but not doing it most everyday of my life :)
