turning the page
is it the moon's light that's weaning in the sky
or is it the sun's rays that's sunken and
tucked so deep under the earth's crust
or is it the ocean's waves that can no longer dance
is it the fog in the valley that blocks the view
or is it the rain that pours and pours
with wind so fierce and so loud
or is it the dawn that never came to light your path
is it the song that wasn't tuned and never sang
or is it the poem that never ever
penned the way you wanted it to run
or is it the letter that was never opened, read and glanced
goodbyes, the end of the road that never was
adios, the wave that was never seen for no one is around
the closing of a chapter in a book in a life
so you can open a new beginning of hope, of dreams and wants
goodbye is a necessity
to run another milestone
to open a new day and
to play a new song
that you've never heard before...
goodbye is done for good
and that is not a surprise...for...
goodbye is always happening
in everyday, in every moment of our daily lives...
goodbye is done here for your good
goodbye is a period so you can open
other avenues...other sunrises
other news...and other views...
welcome to my world...
it is a world of ups and downs
a world of poverty and wants
a world of dreams in pinks and whites
a world of truth and of pure non-white lies
a world of me and everything i like
a world of tunes that's bright
a world of struggles, of climbing mountains
and turning blackouts into light
a world of hope, love, inspirations and insights
a world of thoughts, a world of takes
a world of magic but never fakes
a world where a smile adorns a lake
a world where humans can dream
a world where one can rise
and see the sunrise in spite of the clouds
a world where God comes fore front
a world where faith is first and nothing more
a world where wins come from Him
because He is God, our Lord, the source
a world where we can dream
and hope that at the end
happiness and joy will live forever
until we can meet and see our God
finally sitting on His throne...
welcome to my world...
their life's purpose...
"I Will Serve You"... by some special people making a difference. maybe it's our turn now. in little ways that we can. in whatever good means there is at our very humble disposal for it's never too late to help anyone or anybody in need at any time...

when the color blue is truly blue...
at manila bulletin's face book ...passing at the heart of poverty...the new administration should ban begging on the streets. instead a creation of a department that deals with this problem should be looked at, where donations by the haves would be allocated to help these unfortunate victims of the blue life...

life is for the living
when i open the window in the morning i see trees with their greenery
when i close the door at night i see rest and peace at last
when i hear the buzz of my car's engine i feel life is so alive
when i park it in the evening i own quietness so vast
life is meant for the living saying hello's and hi's
life is greetings, hugging and welcoming of our loves in this life
life is not stillness and being alone in a bus
life is a decoration filled with the colors of the rainbow in the sky
as life is a movement of seeking and exploring all the wonders of the wild
until we're tired, until we're weak, until we're old, until it's time for us to quit and to depart
but until then, let's go to the beach... let's throw confettis, play with balloons, watch the fireworks, let's smile and dance :)
my brod said that i write sad string of words, but that is just not true :? Jo, Edith, Erlinda and Glenn like them and these are happy go lucky people like me :> sometimes, but not most of the times, laughs, for really i am a very serious person believe it or not and i believe in optimism. you would think that with my life story that's still unfolding like yours i would be really be down in the dumps now. yes and no, but i try to be positive, upbeat and always thinking that the sun is behind those dark and foreboding clouds in the sky. after the rain we get refreshing smell of the earth and that is just like hope to me...and i start to smile :) tears will fall for you can't help it but life must just go on...another day is here and it's time again to dance with the tune...and God giving us another day to live is really a precious gift for us to treasure and to use wisely...i can't say anymore better than that. we are here, so let's enjoy the ride at the same time of thanking God for it :)

in the land of the vain
i looked at you in the mirror
but time has taken its toll
i hardly recognized you
for the wrinkles had ran havoc
and claimed your facial throne
the lines of smiles and laughter
had never left and they're just there
to remind me of the triumphs
and the wins that quickly came
but disappeared and went
to change you maybe
a temptation that drape
my battered self image
and psyche to bare
revival, renewal, rebirth
kept calling me again
nips and tucks, tighten and cut
lift it up, take it out or simply
a new you on the mark
enticing and alluring like
the many fakes in our lives...
beauty is as temporary
as the passing tide
beauty won't last not unless
it is enhanced, taken care of
to make it last...
so let's beautify? let's follow others that have done it before us? some women take the risk while others prefer the natural...the old chair and a lady's portrait... done by john singer sargent :) wow, i just asked linda today, my co-worker, when will she goes back for another face lift again because she had one done more that 10 yrs. ago. and she said, 9-'10. i can't wait to see the results, laughs. now this reminds me of nora, the rumor of her botched beauty enhancement surgery. that she might have also lost her golden voice because they did a tracheotomy when she can't breath. very sad if it's true... and the young charice's beauty steps courtesy of a beauty MD in manila. this girl is just very young to have toxins injected on her, unnecessarily, my humble opinion. if you can't live with the face that God gave you then there is a problem with us. accept our true selves is just better than trying to be what we are not, right? and this is my current take but my mind changes as the days turn into nights and as dawn dips into dusk :) yeah, right...i've concluded that flattery is the best imitation :? and as this sentence is an imitation btw...the priest in that i will serve you video is much more deserving of imitating. so let's go do it instead of imitating other nobody like me for example, just saying...for what will people say about you if that happens :) be original? one might say, laughs. oh well.
and yes, thanks to blogging for i can exercise my aging brain and at the same time i have some memories jotted along the way...(^_~)...plus it's free. but we needed to be able to mark a line in the sand as to which things can be blogged or can not be blogged for that matter. now that is where the blurry sight of privacy resides for what might be private to me is different from yours. now, if you have something to say, do it in a blog as long as you can read between the lines of decency and acceptable behaviour. whatever it is blog but blog with insight, love and with tender loving care like a nurse :> i don't have face book and twitter accounts. this is my first foray to the world of the unknown, the cyberspace where people can be kind or otherwise. come to think of it i started blogging for i have to then. now i blogged for i need to...for mind exercise :) i tried to stop a lot of times but i've realized that the mind is as changeable as the love of humans. you are in today but tomorrow you might not be. as you are sad today but tomorrow you'll be in the sunny side of the street...like in a circle you know that up and down thing sort of...your blog is you, not unless you are good in faking it which i am not. i fail miserably in lying or acting so i can't be a Marilyn Monroe or Meryl Streep. i can't act but for good reasons, i am sure i can :)

the colors of music
did you see that rainbow
after a heavy rain
its arch inverted into a smile
filled with colors perched in the sky
did you see those ocean waves
beginning to cascade near the beach
they're silvery blue, clear and
warm, soft as an ivory
but did you notice those bright
and colorful flowers of the wild
that coats and hugs the prairies
and the meadows of an early spring front
these are the colors of music
testament for the eyes
the subtle rainbow of magic as they pass
and pamper the heart and the senses
now here, heard and made to last
as a note in memory
as a remembrance of the past
captured in cameras
logged in the brain, kept in the heart
folded neatly and stored forever in our minds...

sound waves and heartbeats
as if you didn't hear the chirping of the birds in the air
the crickets kept buzzing on this hot and humid day
deafening and beaming out loud the speakers are tired
the message wasn't heard in spite of the loud bouts
of beats unscripted, unheard, made not to last
as if you didn't feel the rhythm of the bell
it bolted in a jolt like symphony
the gentle movement of the flesh slowly
turning the red river drink of air for the cells
to taste its sweet and sour honey as it drained
it melted slowly caught in the sea
of surreptitious sound waves
as it broke, drowned by the million heartbeats
it plunged and fell then left for eternity...

faith matters by EWTN...
"and i will give you rest"...by jesus, so "be not afraid, come follow me"... the on going tune :) how can we humans do this? maybe to try to please God the best that we can. be kind, love, understand and let's not waste our time listening to things or the like that will just prompt us to do the opposite. to be able to detect the devil, to be able to separate the inspirations from those that are not. to be able to say thanks to people that made you smile even how long ago was that. to be able to know how to say goodbye to things that are not God inspired and be at peace with that...the art is JESUS by john singer sargent, excellent :)

Moon Shadows
Are you a hidden spirit
that refuses to come out
or a ghost that is tired of
making us sprint or run out
to the forest and hide
Or are you a mystical saint
that was sent by the Gods
to appease the lonely, the old
and the tired in this world of
dreams, illusions and the sad
Or maybe you are a Deity
comparable to a lovely queen
or a kind king of love that fills
the river Nile which waters the
hot and the arid desert that camels
reign and roam day and night
But maybe you are the son of doom
the king of the devil that no one love
or care or the agent of the underground
that causes hell, havoc, hate and floods
Moon shadows are a passing fancy
of the heavens at hand
It is a sign of the times, the sign of a journey
that will end in due time
Like life, moon shadows are just spectacle
that are nice to watch but never to end
forever for it is only just there in a given time
Moon shadows will end
as the day will turn into night
Moon shadows will bid
farewell and goodbye
as you are left there alone,
standing, staring at the skies
totally captivated
and totally mesmerized...
Moon shadows why can't you just stay for awhile :)

the state with the 5 great lakes :)
I LOVE MY STATE :> with its 5 great lakes hugging it, nothing is better, except the philippines...they're both number ONE, no number TWO :) although doing the math it is sad for our lifespan is just too short. some do not even reach that 25,000 mornings mentioned here and that is 68.493 years. some go and leave at a much younger age but if you're lucky you'll go on your 80's or 90's...ergo, let's do what makes us happy, really happy, this if we are wise, right? let's connect more, love more, laugh more, be humble more, be patient more, be understanding more and smile more and forgive more... and let's be real and not to be fake, laughs. plus no using of each other but instead be of help to each other. no hate for this meant a negative take. love, love, love even if it hurts. i try believe me, it is hard but i put in my mind the thought of how can i follow in Jesus' footsteps? maybe stopping to hate is a good start :)
America...
it's nice to live in a place where its b-day is almost the same as yours :) 234th b-day for the USA! and hmph, old people like me intentionally forget their age now, laughs, although people are really surprised if i tell them my age :> maybe that's a positive sign :) but i think i am getting older and fatter, laughs. and kudos to jinggoy estrada, a man with a heart :> ...and speaking of heart again :) i think it's time to leave anything that you do when your heart and mind are tired coz you needed rest and the time to recoup and think things through...like elizabeth and kris would wanna do now, perhaps :)
the number three or the third party...
...which on some lovey dovey's break ups is just the most cited cause of it...but i don't buy that reasoning, for the cause of a break up is us ourselves. first we don't love eternally, truly and faithfully, laughs. second, she or he is really not the one, third...hmn, what else... maybe because we made the wrong choice, the wrong decision and meet the wrong person, yup, these are it or its, plural form i mean, laughs, just a joke :) but seriously, the real cause IS there in NO REAL LOVE THAT EXISTED IN THE FIRST PLACE. in short, it was a fake, an illusion, a magic that can't last...as mr. torres art had depicted "now you see it, now you don't" for a fake love will leave you hanging on a wire to fall or to be hanged, sad isn't it? then you're just left out there using whatever means that you have venting your frustrations. yes, that is your world. will we pity you? of course but not that much for you will find another one soon naman di ba as a replacement. as if a door closes, all the windows will open, but the door is bigger and there is no comparison. i think it will be better to say that if a door closes, another much bigger and much wider door will open for us :> yup! that certainly is much better :) for you don't want a window to replace a door, laughs. oh well. this less that 3 painting is nicked from the www, thanks to you who owns it...
ART is a DEAL...
Juanito Torres...one commissioned painter that i like, as if you cared, laughs. but in my own art sense which is not much, he is one filipino king of the paint :)...i meant the ones that i came across with luckily. although i'm sure there are loads of talented artists out there that could or might be better, i just don't know for i haven't meet nor happen to know their art as of yet, and who cares, right? but like admiring beauty, looking and appreciating art is in the eyes of the beholder naman di ba? to each is her or his own, or kanya-kanya in tagalog and same as, as vast as the universe of art in our world, we choose what corresponds to our own world or those which matches to our own values in life as individuals...as in live and let leave, err live...(^_~)...
the gold made it the most expensive art so far, i think...135 million USD...
" Adele Bloch-Bauer I" by Gustav Klimt...the art on top, and "now you see it but then you don't" art by a filipino artist, mr. torres :) maybe art is more expensive if done by famous artists. although it does not necessarily mean that the art is better for the eyes to see by some and that includes me :>
Adele is leaving Los Angeles for New York! The Gustav Klimt paintings that are currently on view at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art are leaving soon. The most famous painting of Adele Bloch-Bauer will be on view through this Friday, June 30th. Larry and I went to see the five Klimt paintings last night. If you've been following the story of the paintings in the newspaper, you know that this is a once-in-a-lifetime show. Here's an excerpt from the LACMA site:
"When Germany annexed Austria in March 1938, Ferdinand Bloch-Bauer, a Jew, fled Austria without the Klimt paintings. The new Nazi government saddled him with a punitive tax bill and engaged a Nazi trustee, Dr. Erich Führer, to sell his property. Three of the Klimt paintings went to the Austrian Gallery, and the others were sold elsewhere. After the war such transactions were deemed void, and the artworks were subject to restitution proceedings.
Ferdinand Bloch-Bauer spent most of the war in Switzerland and died in November 1945. When writing his last will he knew that many Austrians had supported Hitler and did not want the Klimt paintings to go to the Austrian Gallery. He therefore left his property to his niece, Maria Altmann, and two of her siblings.
Maria Altmann and the other heirs emigrated to North America. While they managed to export many works from the Bloch-Bauer collection, the Klimt paintings remained in Vienna. Austrian authorities ruled that the paintings belonged to the Austrian Gallery, basing their decision on Adele Bloch-Bauer’s 1923 will. Until the late 1990s the Bloch-Bauer heirs believed that there was little that they could do to recover the lost patrimony. In 1998 Austria passed a law that opened archives and facilitated restitution claims, and Maria Altmann learned more about the fate of the Bloch-Bauer Klimts. She engaged an attorney, E. Randol Schoenberg (himself from a prominent Viennese Jewish family), to recover the paintings. The case went to the U.S. Supreme Court, which ruled in June 2004 that the heirs could sue the state of Austria in a U.S. court. Not wanting a lengthy legal process with appeals, Schoenberg, representing the 89-year-old Maria Altmann, entered into legally binding arbitration with the Austrian authorities.
In January 2006 an Austrian panel issued its verdict: of the six paintings in question, five belonged to the heirs. A decision about the remaining painting would come at a later date. Maria Altmann and the heirs could reclaim a part of their family’s history. Just as life has taken her from Vienna to Los Angeles, so too have the paintings followed this path."
The Klimt paintings have been on view at the Museum since April 4th. This is the first chance I've had to see them. The portraits of Maria Altmann's Aunt Adele are magnificent. The accompanying landscapes are lovely. I'm so glad that we made the effort to see this exhibit. The most famous gold painting of Adele was recently purchased by the heirs of cosmetics icon Estee Lauder. It will reside in the Neue Galerie, a small museum in New York City. Lauder's son, Ron paid $135 million for the painting.

hearts...sad and happy :)
to have a heart is to be human and to love humanity is you must have a heart...this goes back to Christ and God's ten commandments. one can't be able to follow it not unless one has a heart. does it mean a man or a woman who has two hearts sometimes more has really a heart, literally. meaning breaking one's BF or GF, husband or wife's heart by kissing, er having an affair with another while in a relationship. okay, last Wednesday i was really impressed with Elizabeth Edwards, the wife of the former vice presidential candidate who also aspired to be a U.S. president but lost. he is handsome, lawyer John Edwards, Elizabeth's husband who had an affair with a lady video-grapher named, Rielle Hunter. wow, she was really a hunter that's for sure and they even have an illegitimate child, a baby girl. i made sure to watch this riveting interview last Wednesday. and to compound the matter more Elizabeth Edwards has terminal cancer of the bones and she hopes to live for 8 more years. she was promoting her new book titled "resilience" at Larry King Live. they are now separated and in the process of getting a divorce. i think Elizabeth made the right decision to let go of her beloved infidel husband. give them freedom as I've said before and if they return to you they are yours, but what if there is another party involved and they are caught in the act of smooching, laughs, if not by you is by somebody else? well, i am harsh for i only give love one chance and that's it. if you do it now how will i know that you won't do it again esp. if you have the history of counting BFs or GFs? hmn, not unless you love your BF or GF to death which i don't judge anyone for it's their lives btw. just say good luck and be very aware that you might be cheated too or again as they did with their previous BF's or GF's before you, laughs. oh well! so guys and gals make sure that everything is clear before you jump into the water for it's easier to swim that way :) what a lady this mrs. edwards is...these lovers won't even have to wait until she dies to get together or marry and that folks is true resilience, her living up to her new book, congrats elizabeth and btw she is also a cancerian, laughs, so maybe that's why we think the same :) on another note, sad for larry king is leaving this coming fall. hope they get one replacement that is as good and as funny, yes, larry king is funny :) yes, guys and gals if you have a cheating GF or BF or lovey dovey, this is a test of your love for them. are you willing to forgive and pretend that nothing happened? let's wait and see if you and your beloved infidel will still get back together, laughs. oh well. it is as riveting as elizabeth's guest appearance at larry king live, we can tell that, laughs, and funny as well :) and talking of a riveting saga too, how about the love life of the sis of the new prez? we read from her hubby that no can't do, he wants them back together, again mrs. yap will give in probably and watch... they will have another episode like this in the future. and the reason for this recent split is about seeking a working U.S. visa for her nurse sister in law using connections. kris is right on this, the lady needs to do it on her own. just find an employer hospital here who are still seeking nurses abroad, but it is like seeking a needle in a hay stack for a lot of americans now are seeking job in the health care field as well, so it is kinda harder now, i think. the second cause of the break up was that her hubby would like to visit his relatives that did not vote for her brod, then why not let him go kris, i think it's the right thing to do for no matter what political affiliations, they are still his relatives, they are there even before you meet your hubby and came in the picture and lastly that mr. yap is not close to josh now? then kris is right on this one. if your hubby could not treat your special son like he did before you are still newly together then that is a big time cause for going your way out of the marriage if i were in her situation...your son now then you will be next that he won't have a care of, my take, sorry...but it is all in this lady's hands of course because she is the one who knows first hand what's going on in her own household and whatever it is, we should keep our minds off which i am guilty of here, laughs, sorry kris as if you're reading this. it must be hard to go through what this lady is going through now. like it was hard for her past life as well coz people judge and people talk and people are harsh...some, that is. i really do not judge people and this lady for we have all our own faults, it's just a matter of how big or how small...how deep or how shallow but still we are all sinners...that's why Jesus was sent on earth in the first place :) so are we ready to forgive and forget or are we ready to forgive and leave...it's all on us really if you think about it...
